How do I change my display name?

As an ordinary users here in our community we can not change our own username or let say display name and only admin can do that but if you want to change your name you can leave a private message to our admin theymos but I don't think  that you will be given a chance  but just give a try. Anyways like what other said above only thing you can do is to create another account cause your account is still newbie yet if you don't want that username then you can create another one.

Since you are a newbie with just a few posts, just create a new account with the desired user name and abandon the old one (so that it does not become multi-accounting).

I doubt that administrators will change a username of a newbie unless there is sensitive information contained in it such as their real name.

Sorry mate, that won't be possible unless you have a good reason why you want to change your username or are going to pay a donation of 50btc.

Who will pay such a huge amount just for displaying name on forum. At the start 50 btc was not so worthy but now no one will be ready to pay even 0.5 btc for changing display name. I checked out history and found that very few people name has been changed who contacted Theymos directly. The one example would be The Cryptovator but strong reason required to do this action.

I still love my old username where I was famous. But a few impersonators just forced me to change the display name. The profile link still exists the same. This thread is just for public announcement and awareness.

If you really don't like your current username, and want to change it so badly I would advice you to just create a new account. aside from that I don't think theymos will grant you such request.

Good advice because OP is still newbie and alts account is allowed. so he can easily create new account with name he wanted to change. It will not affect his current account.

Hello mate, I don't think making a change of username doesn't matter in this forum because whatever you choose to bear as a username, nobody will ask you that your username does not deserve here. Accept if you create an account with a similar username, like now if the username already exists in this forum.
 
Because I had encountered the same problem with my first account. my username was similar to others user, and I asked questions about it either I could change it, and many members here advised that I should not stress myself out about changing my name. The only person who can modify it for me is the forum administrator, and it takes a while to be change. So my advice to you, mate, is that if you don't like your current username, just go and create a new account since you haven't gone far; the earlier is better.

you won't be able to do it. although there are several cases of members who have succeeded in changing their names. it is of course worth paying attention to their contributions on the forum and the admin may consider renaming.
I don't know what your reason is, but what's wrong with that name? that's not your real name, right? Or if it is, who will care when you don't share your social media content or details on forums, you will still be fine.
