What's up with all the Bitget shills?

I've never used this exchange, and despite a few high-profile instances, I'm not certain this can be labeled as a scam exchange or not.

However, it seems like they must have some kind of an off-forum bounty running where they reimburse accounts for posting about Bitget while endorsing it in some way or another.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about. This account has mentioned Bitget 23 times since Sept 26 and posted several links to the exchange, this one being the most recent:

Note that most of these accounts are not in signature campaigns and do not participate in forum bounties. Some of them seem to be bought accounts.

So has anyone heard about Bitget compensating people for spamming the forum about them? Just curious.

Yes, look at this event below, even though they didn't state Bitcointalk, but they wrote "crypto community with at least 10K members", this forum is also crypto community and the total members are higher than that.

I tried to find it in their telegram and they told me no such campaign exists.

Besides this, there are a lot of Shiller groups here in Bitcointalk.

I see they get paid with discord shitcoin, is that right? I have been looking for information to get the equivalence to dollars but I have not found it. There is a discord token that ceased to be traded on April 29th of this year.

"Report to moderator" is probably the best course of action. We can use this thread as a reference so they have a better picture of what's going on, and the moderators might also start giving out temporary bans .

I have joined months ago coinstore exchange private telegram group where members are given task for shilling (daily posting on two platform). They have google documents where they given shilling rules and words which should be used in shilling.  They gives weekly payment to each user with 1$ per day payrate.

I am not sure what is real phenomenal behind it but from observation of promotion by all these accounts , it's appears that Bitget is also using same tactics as coinstore and all accounts are alt of one or two person.

Sure, if it comes across as outright spam. I think a neutral probably is warranted for the most egregious shillers; not that it will impact their behavior.

Really, I just don't trust businesses that engage in this sort of behavior. It comes across as manipulative and makes me think that if they are willing to do that, what other less-than-forthright things do they do as a business?

I didn't notice so much posts about bitget in topics I usually write, but I just checked Ninjastic website and I think there are much more of this shills aka ''paid workers''.

Even some of the best brands outside of crypto world are doing similar ''promotions'' like this all the time, it's not like bitget invented this method

Do they have an official thread/ account on bitcointalk? If they don't have that, they should not be allowed to advertise here because potential clients from this forum won't have a place to discuss about the service and get answers from their representatives, but if they have a thread and account, they should receive a red tag accordingly, why? Because we all know when a service acquires cheap shilling services, they are not really trustworthy, and we all know that those shills are getting paid $1 per day, so their reviews about how trustworthy and great that service is, does not imply trustworthiness.

Because, if you have an exit scam plan, you won't do it to small clients, you'd wait to grow the amount of your stash and then execute the plan.
So I'd say again, if there are no official thread here, administrator should issue a ban warning for those promoting such services.  Why having a thread here is a must? Because people can scrutinize them for possible red flags.

I just checked their Discord server and from what I understand, they are supposed to report their wok in dedicated channel in ordere to get the reward and I haven't noticed anyone sharing bitcointalk screenshots so I think these shills might not be connected with that contest. Either way, whoever Bitget hired to do this is better than those standard shills that usually write inside the project's announcement thread.


Speaking of that, 2-3 years ago I was onto a group of high ranking accounts that were involved in the similar type of shilling but they did such a good job and were very careful that it was hard to prove beyond reasonable doubt that they actually shilled for shitcoins so in the end I just gave up as it didn't make much sense to shit on someone's rep without proper proof.

There is a topic in here — [ANN] Bitget - Leading Digital Asset Trading Platform. But I'm not sure that Aerys2 is their official representative.

They even had a signature campaign besides trashing the forum with spam shilling posts for months. It was managed by Hhampuz, so maybe he knows if Bitget has some official representatives on the forum. But campaign lasted for very short time, I guess they think that shilling works better for them killing their reputation to 0.

Thank you for the image, it helps understand the situation better. There seems to be an accumulation process where the incentive is to carry on shilling otherwise the rewards get knocked back down again therefore the onus is on the participant (shill) to keep shilling. They only receive rewards after they post their evidence on the Bitget Discord.

I do not know if it makes sense to give them defunct tokens, it looks as though they are giving Bitget rewards with strict rules about have tokens reduced if participants are not adhering to the rules.

I suppose neutral tags would be the appropriate way forward but Bitget has partnered with Argentine footballer Messi therefore those shilling will be hoping to have something on hand that one day will be worth a lot and are probably happy to take tags along the way.

They have a dedicated channel where people report their work (mostly screenshots of them liking BitGet tweets) but no one is sharing bitcointalk screenhots and I went through last few days of their reports, meaning the shilling that is going on here  is probably not the part of that bounty (unless I somehow missed those screenshots).

According to the screenshot provided here. They didn't hire shillers, it is more like hosting a community call on their discord so they could pay the participants a die token.
It is something I have seen some meme coin teams doing when they want some quick pump instead of following the right channel.

No, I have not taken a look but it seems they (Bitget the company) are in business for the foreseeable future because they have Messi as their brand partner. All the football world knows the name and this will give them the platform they require to increase their global presence. Regarding the shills, it is strange if they are not posting their evidence in their Discord to earn the rewards and it seems something a massive up and coming brand would not be doing at this stage of their growth.

About the accounts mentioned in the OP, yeah, that pattern can't be a coincidence. In this case, which is more appropriate? A neutral tag or red tag for shilling?

Because they are obviously paid by Bitget to do it. I mean, maybe they are part of that Discord bounty but in the channel dedicated for sending proof of work I saw no screenshots from bitcointalk or any mention of it.

There are "marketing agencies" that are selling shilling on bitcointalk and Bitget probably hired one of them. The most active one on bitcointalk and the one that hold majroify of shilling market are Vitor Services but this looks like a work of someone else because its done in a better way than Vitor Services are usually doing.
