Newbie book profits are too early in the bull market. We have been through a prolonged bear market for more than two years. After all this waiting we are expecting a good ROI from our investment and that is not only 2X. What newbies do is start booking profit as soon as their investment hits 2X in return out of fear that it will start dumping again. But a proper alt-season project gives 5X to 10X easily.

Things would not be so bad if at least those people did their due diligence and invested in some altcoins that have actual developers that care about their project and that want to create something new for this market, but they invest in all kind of ridiculous coins thinking they can strike gold by investing in the first shitcoin they come across, and such a thing is impossible, but since they can always point out to someone that did the same and obtained great results then they assume the same can be true for them, even if the odds of that happening are incredibly low.

Well, people that do this, I had always judged them wrongly but one day I asked a friend of mine why he loves investment in low cap altcoins or shitcoins as the case may be. I tried telling him how much risk he was taking but he was calm to explain some things to me.

The most common and prominent mistake that newbies make is getting into the market without gaining enough knowledge and doing enough research about the market and cryptocurrencies in general, and this is the reason why they tend to do such things. A person who knows everything, the risks, the rewards, which coins are best for investments, and which ones aren't, which coins should be bought for the long term and which ones for the short term, would never make such mistakes in the first place.

Yeah, Total supply is the most important part to consider valuation of the altcoin. Trader needs to check this carefully since most of the ATH always occur when the circulating supply of the altcoins is low. Assuming that the altcoin will reach the same ATH on bullrun while there’s big difference already on total supply is a big mistake.

There’s an exception to this when the project show a promising feature that makes investors value it more than the typical price to supply ratio. Doge is the best example on this case since it has unlimited supply yet it’s price is same with other altcoins that has lower supply.

Beat in what aspect? Market price? Is it the only factor to determine which one is best? Also there’s no need to. Bitcoin is a good investment and also altcoins. These two categories just vary depending on what type of investor you are. You may freely choose between short term and long term, higher rate of increase/decrease or stability.
