That is a bug in the chart drawing software and/or the source data is not properly sanitized

You have posted a small preview image and it clearly shows that its a screenshot from  Coinmarketcap. If you look at the Bitcoin chart there, the error seems to have already been corrected.

and buy some back maybe 400 coins for 1.6 million in 2018.

so you hit 2021 with 3100 coins.

sell 1100 at 60 k or 66 million.

buy 1200 back last nov 2022 for 16k.


you would now have 3200 coins and a ton of cash 💵

It looks more like coinmarket computer traveled in time, since if you go back in time and buy/sell Bitcoins, everything would appear normal for the rest of the world.  But if you wanted to go back, you could go back to 2009 mine alongside Satoshi and hide some information from now inside a block like an encrypted message, then you could decrypt it in your own time to prove you time traveled. Time flows in one direction which means you can't physically move to the opposite direction unless you are in quantum realm.

But yes it's possible for electrons inside atoms to jump back and forth in time, not that computer that generated the chart though.

No offense, dude. It's easy for you to believe rumors—just rumors that were said on Reddit. When you show like that, people will think you are easy to fool because you immediately believed their stories on Reddit without sources to make their discussions over their platform credible.

I hope next time you do your own personal research so that you can make a comparison between the research you did and what others are saying so that you can have fine thoughts on the matter you want to know here.

Since this post was made on Sunday, I believe the glitch has something to do with Daylight saving time. If you look carefully, the drawing on the graph fell back an hour from 2AM and then went on normally.

No, of course not. Haha, your reading too much speculation; it is clearly a glitch or bug in whatever site that was, and if you only see that image, then someone manipulates the image. If there are time travellers or such, they are millionaires now. It's ridiculous that someone actually believes that kind of story about time travellers or such. Anyway, it can't be helped; some websites could experience a bug or glitch.

And also, it can't be helped that some will manipulate an image; it is easy to do that these days. So maybe someone just trolled and edited the image because, based on the lines in the picture, it is impossible to be created with a glitch or bug, so the most likely cause of why it looks like that is that someone edited it. Don't believe in anything you see on the internet; now a days it is easy to manipulate and edit something.

Exchanges can have bugs or buy/ sell walls from whales lift up suddenly that cause a price to move up or down too much.
Trading view can have bug that cause incorrect price data.
Marketcap websites like Coinmarketcap, Coingecko, Messari and the likes can have bugs too.

Don't take those screenshots or even real bugs seriously because price is not displayed correctly.

What you must be serious is your bitcoin. What you are doing, is it safe for your bitcoin?

Do you store your bitcoin on centralized exchanges?
Do you use leverage for your trading?

If you are doing risky activities, you can lose your bitcoins even without those buggy time travelling chart.

This is way too much work. If I had a time machine I would go back to January 2009 and mine bitcoins with my crappy Acer laptop I had at the time with Satoshi and keep those nice 50BTC block rewards and sell a few during every bubble when I needed to cash.

Or maybe just buy Apple stock before it introduced the iPhone or Tesla right when it IPO years back.

It is not possible it can be a bug in software. You got this from Reddit and not everything from Reddit is trustworthy. OP, the tone of your post showed that you believed the time travel story at the source of the above graph. So, it means that if I tell you right now that I am a time traveller, you will also believe me. If so, you aren't supposed to exist till today, scammers should have feasted on you.

While philipma1957 would trouble themselve to travel backwards to buy bitcoin when it was worthless and probably sell it at the time past when the price appreciated. I feel that the journey might not be smooth. I would rather travel to 2025 and 2030 to see how much Bitcoin will worth then

BITCOIN price chart is a function of time and the change in time cannot be negative, so all price charts are in one direction. This chart has either been modified as a joke or there is a bug, but I believe the screenshot is from CMC, so if it was a bug it would not affect traders because the data CMC gives average prices.

OP, the post to what you posted as a question on this forum, "Can this possible happen" has been removed from Reddit by the Reddit moderator. No one knows why. Is it that the post has false information about Reddit? A post deleted by the administrator of any group does mean one thing, that the post is not welcome and it has false information on the platform it is shared to.

The point is that, when a post is been removed from any social media platform or any other online platform, tells a lot that there must be a misconception about the information shared with the general public and that has the moderator to remove such a post

That's right, even though I don't really understand what happened to the CMC graph, the bug or something you said above makes perfect sense and could have happened because of that. Usually this doesn't affect an order, bugs on the chart are very rare, but once they happen they can sometimes be shock therapy even though in reality they don't affect/represent the actual price.
