Yes you are becoming a gambling addict. That is an early sign and I kid you not. In the gambling community we call it chasing losses. One of the first things you did wrong was to gamble at a time you didn't allocate for it. Started without any plan. You were idle or bored and wanted to kill some time. You see, no strategy, no budget in place. While it is true that you may have used money you could afford to lose but you chased your loss.

That you funded your betting account two times in a day does not mean you are becoming addicted to gambling, the possible reason for your actions is probably due to anxiousness, which might be as a result of the money you deposited at first and lost, you probably wanted to chase after that loss to see if you will recover it, (which is a bad gambling habit in the first place) but unfortunately, you lost again.

Happy that you came back to your self on time, there are some gamblers who through this same means will end up losing all the single penny they had saved.

And yeah, doing this a couple of times does not lead to addiction, or does it appear to be a sign of addiction, it is the continuity in doing it that actually leads to addiction.

I have worst experience than yours during my newbie days. I stop gambling with 500$ profit on my balance then I go to sleep. I woke up 3am in early morning just because I’m excited to win more. Guess what happened? I lose everything including my bankroll and profit by playing few high wager bets. I can’t believe that time what happened and hoping it was just a dream.  

It’s not an addiction but rather just an excitement probably when you are new. If you still feel fear whenever you are losing even small amount then your not addicted.

So why worry about losing, because while gambling you ought to have known that it is a 50/50% chance for you to either win or lose a game, and as such you ought not to have gambled with an amount you aren't willing to afford losing.

With this action as explained by you above, it's a clear sign that at that moment, you allowed yourself got carried away while gambling after your first loss, which ignited you to deposit the second fund and third time with the mindset to recover your lost fund, while forgetting the fact that in gambling it is a 50% chance, as you could either win or lose your fund.

In most cases, this is a common problem for almost all gamblers. the reasons will be very varied, and don't have to be the same specific. Regarding addiction or not, we cannot say for sure. The problem is, we don't know your gambling activities and habits. I calculated the best way to split the funds that would make me spend more time on the game than focus on betting big in other to have a huge win. This could be the reason for what happened to you or you're playing a game that doesn't suit you. I said that cause there are particular I always play whenever I see that I haven't won any of my bets.

We can’t blame her since probably she is not into gambling much while she just tested it out of curiosity. I once like this when I’m just on experimental stage on playing blackjack. I lose few dollars yet I feel like it’s a big deal since I’m not into gambling that much. Any amount of money will make someone overthink when they lose it if they are not prepared or use to gambling consequences.
