I ask this for a few reasons. Signature campaigns will pay for posts in some areas and not in other areas.

I make lots of signatures and I am always well past what I need to be but if you are in a campaign that does not pay for alt coin posts this move cost you as it now resides in alt coins.

I also simply don't understand if a mod moved it or if the op moved it.

Lastly I do no see why it is in alt coins and not btc.

What am I missing as to why it was placed here.

Could there have been 2 or 3 or 4 other posts in it that very very heavy alt coin based. As I do not see them if they were there.

In my view, if a poster later realizes their post was posted in a section that wasn't appropriate, it's not their responsibility if those that responded didn't notice while it was in the 1st board. And hence shouldn't be liable for simply moving their own thread to the appropriate section, or making a mistake initially (we're all human, shit happens). Those wearing a signature are the ones that should be careful making responses in the appropriate section, and that includes reading the contents of the post thoroughly as well as reviewing the section.

Well, in this case though, it does indeed seem as if the topic was moved to the wrong section indeed. Perhaps the intended goal was the speculation board under bitcoin discussion, and not under the altcoins section. Bitcointalk gets a little confusing for having so many otherwise identical sections mirrored between bitcoin/altcoin discussions.

 I checked the post out and discovered how much it fit in the Bitcoin speculation board but there's something I observed and that's the Op may have moved it to altcoins> speculation>thinking that's where it fits because a user suggested he move it to Speculation board. Probably he hasn't really gotten the hang of moving topics to boards if not I see no reason why it was moved there in the first place.

The appropriate way is to notify the moderators using the report to moderator. I will encourage everyone that see this thread to report it to be moved to bitcoin speculation board. As it is related to bitcoin and not altcoins, it would be moved.

This post was first made on 3rd October and after that, It was not moved according to the ninjastic tool. I am not aware of any other tool if that can find out who has moved this thread but I can at least get some idea if that post that is being moved is recorded on the ninjastic telegram bot. In the above picture, you can see the post was made but I did not find any notification about this post being moved.

Well, I don't know who has moved it here for sure in this case because the post's movement notification did not appear in the first place. But after reading this post I think you are right it did belong to the speculation section or in the BTC section. You are totally right, if the OP has moved this topic then he wasted the post of the signature participants but for me, that's not a problem just like you.

Since OP is/was relatively inexperienced, he initially posted that topic in BItcoin discussion and when one of the members warned him to move it to Speculation, he probably missclicked or got cofnused and moved it to Altcoin Speculation instead.

Well, I don't know who has moved it here for sure in this case because the post's movement notification did not appear in the first place. But after reading this post I think you are right it did belong to the speculation section or in the BTC section. Yeah I need 40 posts a week and I am over 100 for the week. As I always posted a lot and it never was a big issue to write a lot of info on the internet. The thread he did was very much in tune with my '2015-2017 pattern Is matching current 2023-?  pattern thread.' It is why I read it and realized it was moved around quite weirdly. So I asked about it here.

If I'm reading ninjastic.space correctly, the topic was first posted in "Bitcoin Discussion" board, then the thread was moved to "Speculation" (before post 62940499), then to "Mining speculation" (before post 62942525), and finally to "Speculation (Altcoins)" (before post 62952217). Since everything happened in the span of only a few days from the original post, I doubt that the moderators did it. It is very likely that the OP is responsible for moving the topic.

I assumed that could also be the reason, but then again, when you click on the move option and you happen to see the section suggested for the topic to be moved to, the speculation board under economics always comes first and that of altcoin at the button of the list, so the Op probably passed the right place to click and went for altcoin.
 
It could be that the OP didn't know where was best for the thread; as I can see, Ethereum was also mentioned in the content of the same thread. Maybe the OP was literally confused about the right choice.

Your explanation is a little confusing. From the screenshot shared, when an OP moves a post, you won't know if it was done by the OP or not unless you know the name of the author in the first place. You can also tell who is a moderator; if not, you will have to click on the link yourself and confirm if the member who moved it could be the OP or moderator, as the Ninjastick bot doesn't differentiate. Unless for popular moderators action like Cyrus, which is almost known by all.

Thanks for the short and accurate go-through. I don't know why the OP would move this topic around that much; maybe he was playing around with the "move" button and wanted to see how many times in 1 minute or in some specific time we can move a topic. He might not be aware of the forum rules, as according to the above members, he has been banned due to plagiarism, which is the biggest sin here.

Anyway, I think this topic should be moved back to the place where it belongs in the BTC discussion because this topic has nothing to do with the ALTs or even with speculation, but it is also ok if it is moved to the speculation section either.

Sorry for the confusion as when I read it now, I also got confused maybe that's because the grammar correction tool I used did it wrong while I was posting it. I tried to say that when an OP moved the topic his name was written in the name place of "OP" and this all I was talking about was in the Telegram notification bot, I also added a picture for easiness.

And when the Moderator moved the post, his (moderator's) name was written in the "OP" name place position. Even if Cyrus is known by all as a popular moderator but in my opinion it does not matter whether he is popular or not the thing that matters here is moderation rank, if he is a moderator his name will be replaced by the real OP's name otherwise not.
