I agree with you. This forum has helped me understand Bitcoin better. In beginning I thought Bitcoin was only for trading and investing. But being in this forum showed me that Bitcoin has many other uses too. It is great to have access to experts who share their knowledge and talk about Bitcoin. I have learned a lot from them and it has made me feel more confident about using Bitcoin. I m thankful for being part of this forum and learning more about Bitcoin. The name of the forum which is Bitcointalk has already explained it purpose why it was created,  this is a forum where we talk about bitcoin and it is expected that anyone that really wants to learn about bitcoin will surely get the knowledge and understanding in Bitcointalk. The forum has really made people to understand bitcoin in the easiest way they can.

People who are not very good in English can also learn about bitcoin in their local board. The forum does not only make people to have knowledge about Bitcoin trading and investment,  but also give it members to get the real  sense of bitcoin in all aspects.

 like if you are outside of the forum without any knowledge you would think to invest bitcoin is just by buying no matter the financial state but the forum alway help members to be prepared and work towards their financial state before making plans to invest in bitcoin and not just to rush into Bitcoin.

I have some knowledge about Bitcoin and it's investment and trading, also as a payment digital currency, but I know that I need more knowledge about it because it goes beyond what I know. Joining this forum will give me the opportunity to read and learn from professionals with experience about Bitcoin so I can have a better understanding and improve my knowledge, this is why I joined too. Well, it's the most popular Bitcoin forum.
Many enthusiasts come here to share their opinions. Many come here to share their knowledge. Many cryptocurrency experts come here to share what they know about something related to crypto, and you know what's the good thing? It's all for "FREE". Who doesn't want free? You're stupid if you don't want it.

This forum and YouTube are the 2 platforms that helped me to where am I at today. I know I'm not a cryptocurrency expert. I'm not a programmer, a cryptographer, or an expert in coding, but learning the basics is enough for me to just survive, and not get scammed or hacked. I will not pinpoint users here who helped me on my journey, but I will just give my thanks to all of them who helped me.

As for you OP, continue learning like what we are still doing even though we have been in the crypto space for years already. Continue learning, and at the same time, share it with your colleagues, friends, and relatives if possible.

This forum is an exposure on its own to the bitcoin community. I learn better here than surfing around the internet to learn something about bitcoin. The opinions of people here that have had real time experience with bitcoin related stuffs makes it easy for me to understand their opinions and replies to something I want to learn about. Everyone has this thought before joining this forum, because the way crypto is discussed in this forum, crypto is not discussed in detail anywhere else. Almost everyone is in the same situation as you when they are new to crypto. Bitcointalk taught me new things about crypto. You can assume that this forum functions as a dictionary of crypto experiences. But for me, this forum functions more than a dictionary. Sure, many people can misunderstand Bitcoin, they may know Bitcoin is a digital asset only. I also have some friends that don't know that Bitcoin is basically created as a digital currency and it is not purposed for a digital asset. They just realize it when they already joined this forum, they read the history of Satoshi and Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is to different people different things, and what triggers their choices of the use of bitcoin is the knowledge of bitcoin. How well do they know about bitcoin. OP, you are not alone, when I first heard about bitcoin and did a lil research about it , I had thought that bitcoin is only meant to be bought and resell and make profit.
