Unable to change geolocation through VPN; is it advisable to consider changing the IP address?

Lately, I've been experiencing difficulties in altering my geolocation through a VPN. I use a NordVPN service, but the geographical location remains unchanged. I am exploring the possibility that the issue might be related to the IP address. I've conducted some research on forums but haven't found a clear solution yet.

I've attempted to change the location through various VPN services and checked geolocation settings in the browser, but the changes aren't taking effect. Considering the potential impact of the IP address, I'm open to suggestions or recommendations to address this issue.

Can you name the VPN that you are using?

Even free VPNs like Turbo can mask IP and have a lot of locations to choose even for free users so if you haven't used Turbo yet then try which is available on Windows as well as Android.

Also, clear Caches and cookies after connecting to the VPN before accessing your browser, and if you are using Chrome then switch to Mozilla because in Chrome location access is enabled by default which can leak your IP despite you are connected via a proxy network.

I like PIA, and it gives the option to "split" the tunnel.  I can send torrent traffic through it and keep browsing with the local IP.

Well, any VPN when connected to a server is logically changing the geolocation of the user who is using that VPN. I believe that any free VPN available on Chrome web store will do the job for you. I recommend you to just switch to a different VPN and check if the geolocation changes or not. If it remains the same then there's another problem not a VPN related problem but if it changes then that's a VPN problem which gets solved with the change.

+1 for PIA - I have been using them for years.

You have to change to AES-256 in the menu for better encryption because the default seems to be AES-128, otherwise it's great.

Yes, of course.
I used SurfShark VPN
But before that I tried NordVPN just comfortable.
I can't say which one is better, but I think this problem is common for all VPN services.

I think he use free version. I'm has using express vpn, not free, but I've found that its reliability and range of server locations make it worth the cost for me. So, whatever if use free version or trial and yeah service not full.

Even if it's a free version, it is supposed to mask the IP and that is the reason why we use VPN in the first place.

From his above reply, I guess it's not due to the VPN application but something else hopefully it was resolved after downloading different browser.
