Hey guys.

What's a good app for watching your crypto porfolio?

Coins manually entered and not connecting the app with wallets, exchanges etc. (I don't trust it) but nevertheless, being able to watch how much I got, how it changes over time, and whether I have gain or loss, from the initial purchase.

Thanks

I always recommend Rotki every time anyone asks what is a good and private cryptocurrency portfolio tracker. It is a project that is open source with a freemium model. Also, the application itself is fully local so the data is only saved on your devices. One consideration for your requirements is that the free version only allows you to watch the total networth graph for 2 weeks. And to be honest, the free version works pretty limited compared to its premium model.

If you considering other alternatives, pretty much most cryptocurrency trackers are able to manually input the transactions. Moreover, If your concern is only not to trust connecting or inputting the address of the trackers, then I believe you have a lot of options. But, if your main concern not to trust is your privacy, Rotki is a plausible option.

I’m not using anymore this kind of tracker since I don’t want to check the price frequently but you can use coinfolio(https://coinfolio.info/) to track your assets without the need to connect your wallet.

Coinmarketcap app have this kind of feature but I’m not knowledgeable on this app because I never use it.

I don't know of any because I think me tracking my portfolio is just adding me more stress since am already planning to hodl my coins for a long term,I don't need extra pressure knowing if the market have started to dip or pump although I do have some app I downloaded for just the price level movement for Bitcoin since we all are expecting the bull market very soon, it would be nice to have a head start to it.

What's a good app for watching your crypto porfolio?

You can find the feature you mean in the Coinmarketcap app, there you can add the coins/tokens you own with notes when purchasing, so you can find out how much profit or loss you experienced after purchasing your coins or tokens. This app is available for both Android and iOS versions. FYI, I also use this application, so don't hesitate to use it. There won't be any problems there.

Hey guys.

What's a good app for watching your crypto porfolio?

Coins manually entered and not connecting the app with wallets, exchanges etc. (I don't trust it) but nevertheless, being able to watch how much I got, how it changes over time, and whether I have gain or loss, from the initial purchase.

Thanks

If you want to see changes in your portfolio then you need to give access to the portfolio such as what cryptos are in your wallets or at least that is how the existing trackers work. But manually entering the value instead of giving the wallet details seems progressive but I don't remember any of that kind and if there is one its better to be used over giving wallet/address details to a company which can be used by them to make money in someway.

I second this, been using this on both browser and the android app it's just a matter of personalization on your part to make it better but overall experience is that it's great plus you're earning diamonds which you can use on things like participating airdrops etc. There are lot of apps out there but I think CMC app has great reach and features too plus it's free on most features.

I have been using https://debank.com/ for extended period of time to monitor coins in my portfolio and stored in my Metamask wallet,  and it works without any issue. However, it displays only those coins created within Ethereum and layer2 networks ,such as Arbitrum, Optimism, Zksync.era and BNB, and numerous other layer2 networks. For monitoring portfolio on cosmos network, use this app. https://wallet.keplr.app/

Youd definitely like coingecko as it does a manual selection of tokens thaportfolio. It might be a good useful free app for you as it also udpates the price and current token valuation details like when you are searching for tokens. But there are plenty of other defi platform such as defidot, zerion, debank. Personally I like debank for casual monitoring of your asset as it can see all on your L1wallet.

coinmarketcap application is my recommendation for tracking your cryptocurrency assets, because in my opinion coinmarkercap application is very easy and comfortable to use, besides that, everything that you want can be done in coinmarketcap application, so I'm sure you will definitely like to using coinmarketcap application.

I have been using delta.app and it has suited my needs in the past. It can be used for linking wallets, but most of these apps had still issues with that by somehow messing up tx fees and money you used for purchasing or trading the cryptos. But you obviously can just manually set up purchasing price to zero and stuff like that.

But may i suggest taking a look at Notion. You can use that among many things to to track your portfolio real time, by installing notion api connector. It takes some tweaking and learning curve might look overwhelming at the start (if you haven't yet been using it for something else). And of course you can use free notion templates just designed for your investment tracking if it seems difficult.

Trustwallet. i have some tokens and BTC and in order for me to monitor them all, i just import the wallets that i am tracking and there i can see them all inside one app.
it's not recommended since it is owned by Binance but because i was curious after investing in TWT, i tried doing this. it helped me monitor the crypto i followed which sort of a portfolio to watch.

there should be something like this that is opensource sadly there is none but wallet. I think you can also do this on Mycelium, this wallet has improved a lot like hybrid where you can also import just about any tokens.

I know that other people have mentioned different portfolio trackers to you and and probably the one I am about to mention has also been mentioned but I will still some to you so can test around and choose the best among them. I will like you to use TradingView and cryptocurrency alerting apps. For the cryptocurrency alerting app, you can be alerted when the price of the coin hit the position your setting placement of the alert. And in the TradingView you can check the price of the portfolio every minute and day. But the cryptocurrency alerting is only when the price hit the position you set.

And to know if you gain or loss. That is you have to check the time you buy it and whenever you are checking, you to check the present price and compare not to the time of purchase then you will know the differences.

Still using trading view and the ledger apps to simply monitor my holdings and still use coinmarketcap to further monitor the current trend of the market. It’s always good to monitor the market so you can know what action you will take according to your strategy. You can just monitor the exchanges, or have the other apps whatever you prefer just make sure you don’t expose your wallet information to any apps and be sure that the apps is legit so you can be safe.

You can use Coingecko, there are also some good online Dapps like Debank and even Etherscan, especially for people that trade shitcoin this can help you manage your portfolio online. It is better with portfolio tracker like Coingecko because it is not public and there is no risk of being targetted by hackers.

Yeah. I use coingecko and that's the app I would have recommend. It's easy and safe to use to track your portfolio especially when you use the app instead of the Web. You can also add your exchange and Wallet holdings to it which makes it support both DEX and CEX holdings because you don't need to connect any of them.

There are two good applications for tracking your cryptocurrency portfolio, that is
1. coinmarketcap app
2. coingecko app
but I personally more interested and recommend you to use coingecko app, because I prefer using coingecko app rather than coinmarketcap app.

I've been used to using CMC for a long time, so I installed the Coinmartketcap application on my smartphone to track the crypto assets I own without needing to connect them directly to the wallet I own. although it is not practical, but I think it really helped me. Yes, maybe many people recommend other places to keep an eye on the portfolio we have, but personally, I am used to using the coinmarketcap application.

Coingecko for me.
Been using it for so long and never had a problem with the application. I think I also learned about it here in the forum but I forgot where was it. Who knows, maybe it's buried deep in all the threads here in the altcoin section.
But it's really helpful for monitoring the value of each coin and they have a wide number of listed coins in that application.
After that, you could add some widgets so there won't be a need to open the application itself. Sometimes it doesn't load due to maybe slow connection but a refresh will do the trick by force closing the application and re-opening it. It's been years that I have been using it, and even when I changed my phone that's the first thing that I installed because it's really a big help for me.

Yes, you are  right in this case, even though it is very commonly used, investors also always check and research the place, whether looking for price information or potential types of projects that have been listed. I usually find out on CMC only 2 points, the first is the type of coin and which market it is listed on, apart from other important information.

If the OP has entered trading in market Crypto, I think this data can also be seen in the stock exchange application that he has downloaded on his smartphone.
