Hi all,
I tried to transfer my 0.00052172 BTC I have on ViaBTC to my Electrum wallet, and I got the message that the amount is too small. Can I somehow workaround it?
Thank you

Are you referring to ViaBTC's wallet: ViaWallet, the noncustodial wallet? or ViaBTC the mining pool? If the later, then I'm guessing it's a centralized service? Electrum will show whatever amount you send. If ViaBTC doesn't allow you to withdraw that amount, it's probably because they have a min. withdrawal amount just like exchanges does.

You are right, Viabtc has a minimum withdrawal limit for coins and for Bitcoin, it is 0.001 BTC which explains why OP can't able to withdraw his 0.00052172 BTC. ViaBTC minimum withdrawal limit

Did you create a request in electrum receive tab? If so, take note that you don't have to make any request in electrum to receive bitcoin. You can use any of addresses listed in "addresses" tab to receive bitcoin. I guess the problem is that the base unit has been set to mBTC and with entering 0.00052172, you make a request to receive 0.00052 mBTC which is equal to 0.00000052 BTC. Note that any bitcoin address can receive any amount bigger the dust limit. The dust limit for legacy addresses (those that start with 1) is 546 satoshi and for native segwit addresses (those that start with bc1q) is 294 satoshi. Again, you don't need to make any request to receive bitcoin.

Simple question - where are your bitcoins at this very moment? Still in your ViaBTC account, or did you already transfer them over to your Electrum wallet? Im guessing you are trying to withdraw your coins from ViaBTC into Electrum, right? If so, just know that Electrum has nothing to do with setting restrictions on withdrawals from ViaBTC. The only way Electrum can get in your way is if you try sending an amount from Electrum thats less than the recommended transaction fee, which is not the case here. But other than that your Electrum wallet wont interfere with a ViaBTC withdrawal at all.

This error wont show if you just copy the receiving address from your electrum then use it when sending from viabtc wallet. Just like the user above said, probably you're using electrum's request feature.

Deposit 0.00047828BTC + withdrawal fee You mean, if I buy 0.000747828 + withdrawal fee, I would be able to withdraw the whole thing? How can I deposit the "missing" BTC amount? Supposing the rejection is caused by the withdrawal amount being lower than the minimum limit set by ViaBTC pool, then you will be able to withdraw the whole thing after your balance reaches 0.001 BTC, the minimum withdrawal amount, plus the withdrawal fee, of course. What you have is 0.00052172 BTC. To make it to the minimum withdrawal limit of ViaBTC pool which is 0.001 BTC, you need 0.00047828 BTC. But you have to deposit more than that because you will also be paying the fees. So, if I were you, I'd rather keep it there for a while. The fees aren't cheap these days. Even low priority transactions will have to pay 117 sat/vB. And for you to be able to withdraw your Sats, you need a couple of transactions at least. You only have $20 worth of Sats. After all the fees, how much would you be getting? If you're planning to convert it into cash, you might end up with less than $10.

I'm basically wondering why you're requesting a deposit from an Electreum wallet? You do not need to request a deposit. All you have to do is put the Bitcoin address of your Electreum wallet in the ViaBTC withdrawal box, but of course you must have the minimum withdrawal amount. However, despite this, I tried to request a withdrawal from the Electreum wallet for the exact same amount, 0.00052172 BTC, and this is what I got: The order was created without any issues so you may have some issues with your Electreum setting.

Not really sure what's the problem, the another possibility is you lack of coins to pay for the mining fee since someone created a thread where he need to send $20 for the mining fee. How can I deposit the "missing" BTC amount?
Just click the receiving address, or there's no way to make deposit?

You mean, if I buy 0.000747828 + withdrawal fee, I would be able to withdraw the whole thing? Yes but where will you buy? How can I deposit the "missing" BTC amount? Seeing how this platform works, there is no way to deposit. You have to accumulate more bitcoins on the platform itself until the minimum withdrawal amount is reached.

Basically, yes, you can transfer any amount you want from one wallet to another. But, keep in mind that transaction fees on the Bitcoin network are quite high at the moment. The question of cost effectiveness... How can I deposit the "missing" BTC amount?
That depends on the specific platform. Check their terms or customer support.

The order was created without any issues so you may have some issues with your Electreum setting.
The problem is probably with the base unit. The base unit has been set to mBTC and OP is entering the amount in BTC. Basically, yes, you can transfer any amount you want from one wallet to another.
This is not accurate. You can't make a transaction creating an output which is smaller than the dust limit. As I said in my previous post, the dust limit is 546 satoshi for legacy addresses and 294 satoshi for native segwit addresses.

I think the thread is still confusing; we aren't getting what's actually the issue. From where are you going to withdraw? From ViaBtc? If ViaBtc isn't preventing you from withdrawing, then where is the issue actually? Just simply copy the address from the Electrum and send it. Because the amount doesn't seem like dust and it should be approved. When are you going to withdraw something from a centralised platform? They would have withdrawal fees and withdrawal limits as well. To get a solution, please provide more details. Otherwise, we may just speculate instead of giving you a better solution.
