hello,
For a long time now, I have been receiving several small Bitcoin transactions from a payment system to my trust wallet almost every day. Until about 2 weeks ago everything was ok and the transactions were usually confirmed within a few minutes. But for about 10 days now, since the blockchain has been a little overloaded, the transactions are no longer confirmed. I can't set a sending fee myself and the only thing I can see is that it is quite small. Now some transactions are no longer unconfirmed but local (I restored the wallet on Electrum and that's where I see it). On Blockchair, every transaction has been saying "in about 24 hours" for days.
I took a screenshot of the transactions from the electrum wallet so that you can see a little more. Is it possible to speed this up somehow or can someone realistically tell me how long it will take and what these local transactions are?
Any information or help would be very grateful
here screenshot of electrum transaction and thats not even all. the oldest is now like 10 days old

All this unconfirmed transactions have low transaction fees that can’t get it confirmed currently, I saw the highest fee you set there was around 27sats I will advice you check   https://mempool.space/ to see the estimated fees that could get your transaction confirmed fast. You use RBF bumping option to change the fee to the ones estimated by that site.

Edit: you will need to use the CPFP method

"Local" means that the transaction is in your wallet file, but it's not in the mempool of the node you have connected to. If you connect to a different server, there's a possibility that their status changes to unconfirmed.

You use RBF bumping option to change the fee to the ones estimated by that site
That's not possible. In all transactions displayed in the screenshot, OP is the recevier.

I have been doing a little research on this topic since the start of network congestion and from what I’ve learned so far I believe you can help hasten the transaction confirmation process.

The first one would be for you to use “Replace-by-fee, RBF”, if you have it enabled before you broadcasted your transaction, from what I understand it helps your transaction by replacing the fee you initially used therefore increasing the fee and more chance of it being included in a block.

The second I have seen others suggest would be for you to use a site online, I don’t know if it actually works but here’s it, copy your transaction ID and paste. https://bitaccelerate.com/

All I wrote are based on what I’ve read so far, so there’s a high probability of it being completely wrong.

For a long time now, I have been receiving several small Bitcoin transactions
You should read my topic on Consolidating small inputs. In short: you screwed yourself big time by creating so many dust inputs in your wallet. With high fees, many of your inputs aren't worth the fee needed to send them. There's only one option: wait for fees to drop, and then consolidate your funds.

Quote
from a payment system
They shouldn't be sending transactions with such low fees. But you shouldn't be withdrawing such small amounts on-chain in the first place.

Quote
to my trust wallet
That's another red flag. There are better wallets out there. By restoring your wallet on Electrum you've exposed your seed phrase to 2 different wallets now. It's better to create a new Electrum wallet, and move your funds there (when fees are much lower).

Quote
Is it possible to speed this up somehow
No. The only options to speed it up are very expensive.

Quote
can someone realistically tell me how long it will take and what these local transactions are?
Bitcoin on-chain transaction fees are a free market. Nobody can tell you when they'll get lower.
"Local" transactions in Electrum mean the server dropped them, usually because the fee is too low and the server's mempool reached it's maximum. This will vary per server.

Quote
Any information or help would be very grateful
Read my first link, learn how Bitcoin transaction fees work, and avoid small (dust) inputs. You're having problems receiving your funds now, you'll have much bigger problems sending your funds later.

you will need to use the CPFP method
CPFP is too expensive for dust inputs.

use ViaBTC free accelerator.
There's no point. ViaBTC is out of spots, and OP has no doubt a long line of unconfirmed parent transactions.

I don’t know if it actually works
Then don't post it! There's only one working free transaction accelerator, and that's ViaBTC. But they're very limited when fees go up.

hosseinimr93 already told you what locals are so fast forward
About the tx themselves if you leave them liked hat NOBODY can tell you for sure if they eve will get confirmed and not completely dropped out of the mempool.

The solution, at least for the eons above 18sat/b is to use viabtc
https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator
Every hour exactly after xx:00 there are 100 free spots for your tx, so you can try that.

Now, there might be a problem with it, if the tx is larger than 0.5 KB they will not accept it so your only choice is to speak with the sender and once the tx are dropped resend all the sum in one single batch.

The second I have seen others suggest would be for you to use a site online, I don’t know if it actually works but here’s it, copy your transaction ID and paste. https://bitaccelerate.com/

Quote
. Our service will rebroadcast the transaction via 10 Bitcoin nodes.

That's not an accelerator that's a rebroadcasting tool, it does nothing your wallet can't do.

There's no point. ViaBTC is out of spots, and OP has no doubt a long line of unconfirmed parent transactions.

This hour maybe, OP can try every single hour to get one or two, he has no other solution anyhow.

Those local transactions have not yet been broadcast to the network you might accidentally click the save button instead of pay.
You can right-click on these transactions and then remove them.

You have multiple unconfirmed transactions did you made all of these transactions?

Pretty bad the recommended fee from mempool.space spikes again and all of your transactions use 15 to 40sat fees it's 4x lower than the recommended fee.

You can try to submit all of these transactions(except local transactions) to https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator
To accelerate them(as suggested above).

RBF can be opted for only by the sender and here OP is at the receiving end he can't use the RBF option. Well, you can do CPFP (Child Pays For Parent) but if the receiving amounts are small or dust then it isn't worth paying 50% of the transacted value as fee.

The second I have seen others suggest would be for you to use a site online, I don’t know if it actually works but here’s it, copy your transaction ID and paste. https://bitaccelerate.com/

This isn't an actual transaction accelerator, it's just a platform that rebroadcasts your transaction again and again which will not make any change unless the fee drops in the bitcoin network.

https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/ This is an actual TX accelerator with certain criteria to speed up the TX with low fees.

There's no point. ViaBTC is out of spots, and OP has no doubt a long line of unconfirmed parent transactions.
If a transaction has unconfirmed parent, electrum would display its status as "unconfirmed parent".
The local transaction may have unconfirmed parent, but we can be sure that those transactions that are displayed as unconfirmed transaction in OP's screenshot don't have any unconfirmed parent.

Those local transactions have not yet been broadcast to the network you might accidentally click the save button instead of pay.
This can't be the case. OP didn't make those transactions. OP has received them.

There are two possibilities.
1. The server OP has connected to had those transactions, but dropped them.
2. OP connected to a server which had those transactions, but now is connected to a node which doesn't have those transactions in its mempool.

On Blockchair, every transaction has been saying "in about 24 hours" for days.
More details, you get information like
Code:
Queue: 50000 of 190469
Est. time to 1 confirmation:  in 1 day
The queue ordinal number is temporary because new transactions will be added to mempools.

Quote
I took a screenshot of the transactions from the electrum wallet so that you can see a little more.
In Electrum, you will get information about your Unconfirmed transaction in two places
History tab: you will see that Unconfirmed [ 10 sat/byte, 20 MB] (example)

Right click on the transaction, choose Details, you will have
Code:
Position in mempool: 20 MB from tip
With this example, your Unconfirmed transaction will be confirmed next 20 blocks if no more new transactions relay in mempools with higher fee rates than yours.

You can manually watch mempools and see chances and estimated time for your transaction confirmation.

Transactions which have been purged from the mempool might not ever get confirmed because the original sender could spend those coins again. You could bump the effective fee rate of those unconfirmed transactions by sending the unconfirmed outputs to yourself with a higher fee.

I don't know what payment system you used, but if it's something custodial I would disable auto-withdrawals and only manually withdraw once a day or when the amount reaches a certain threshold.

"Local" means that the transaction is in your wallet file, but it's not in the mempool of the node you have connected to. If you connect to a different server, there's a possibility that their status changes to unconfirmed.

Also there's a possibility that you can ask the sender of the transaction to broadcast it again in the event it becomes local, if the mempool size is low enough to allow your transaction to get in again. For example if you had a 20 sats/vB local transaction yesterday, you can broadcast it now and see it as unconfirmed.

You can do that by yourself, right? I can't current test it as I don't have a "local" transaction, but I assume Electrum stored the raw transaction, which you can broadcast.

Right. To do so, you should right-click on the local transaction, go to details and then click on "broadcast".

If the server you are connected to doesn't allow you to broadcast the local transaction due to the fee rate being lower than the nodes purging fee rate, you can export the raw transaction and use other tools to broadcast the transaction.

Wait, but you need the raw transaction to make a broadcast, it doesn't work with just a transaction hash. So I think what is happening is that Electrum keeps a copy of the raw transaction hash and broadcasts that, correct?

Clearly this won't work for all wallets, although it's trivial for any SPV wallet to implement.

Right. Electrum keeps the raw transaction.

Clearly this won't work for all wallets,
If you are using a different wallet and all you have is the transaction hash, you can import your address in electrum. There's a chance you can find a server which has your transaction in its mempool.
(This is assuming the transaction has been broadcasted to the network before and is still valid.)

The top of the page states “ Free Bitcoin Transaction Accelerator” that was why included it in my post. Sorry to ask if a user should use this site will there be any risk? Let’s say I went online and search for a free bitcoin accelerator and then this one(bitaccelerate) comes up as the first result and I decide to use it will I be putting anything at risk here?

At that point it's probably easier just to put your TXID in to somewhere like mempool.space which has very high mempool limits and rarely drops any transactions, and then pull the raw hex from there.

I think it's because people don't like false advertising.
And calling themselves "Free Transaction Accelerator" for not being a real transaction accelerator is a bad thing, not generally a risk.

Plus, they are accepting donations that received quite a few satoshi.
Newbies who are fond of donating but don't know how accelerating works may think that their transaction that got confirmed through normal network conditions may think that they're the one who done it.
While in reality, its fee rate just made it through the priority to get mined while mempools are low in size.
