Hong Kong Tri Series (OD) has been finished. The final match was played in between Hong Kong and Uganda. Hong Kong gave good target of 234 runs that was quite hard for Uganda to chase it up. However Hong Kong bowlers made it looked easy, at the last two balls Hong Kong picked two consecutive wickets and won the final. Anshy Rath who named as the player of the match by scoring century in this match.

Uganda were batting in the second innings. They tried their best with Dinesh Nakrani making 49 runs but it was too hard for them collective as a team to chase this big total.

Today was the 28th match of the International League T20 that was played between the Mumbai Indians Emirates and Sharjah Warriorz. Sharjah Warriorz also have a good position in the table, 4th before the match, but not too good as compared to Mumbai Indians Emirates, they are on the second number in the table by having 10 points. However, after this win, Sharjah Warriorz not only moved to third position but also they are not equal in points with MI Emirates.

Their batsmen played well, if their bowlers played hard, their target could have been much better.  But their bowler took only 2 wickets and allowed the target to be achieved in 17 overs due to which they will soon lose the match and their given target of 173 is also weakened.  A better performance from SW though as they took the target easy and put as much pressure on them as they could.  Apart from this, their batsmen scored runs at a fast pace and achieved this target in 18 overs and won the match.  I feel sorry for MI's performance that they did not play well and their bowlers who could have won the match but lost the match due to weakness and lack of pressure.

Central Districts won the final match by 6 wickets. It was a good win for them. First they bowled well to keep Canterbury under pressure and doesn't let them score freely. Toby Findlay bowled exceptionally well and took three wickets. All in all it was a combine effort from the bowling and fielding side.

Then when they came to bat, they didn't took any chances. Although Jack Boyle was out early but the remaining players played a responsible innings and took the team to the win. Dane Cleaver 43 runs was a important innings in the middle order to keep the things under their control.

Another league has been finished, the Super Smash. After many games we reached here that Central Districts is the champions of this season. Last season Northern Brave was the champions.

In the final game, Canterbury were batting first and they tried to score good but failed in thier missions and from that stage the bad vibes for Canterbury were coming. I understood the champions will be Central Districts and when Central Districts come to bat, at the first they lost a single wicket of Jack Boyle that could be a trumatic event for them but the other players did not care and played well, smashed boundaries.

Cape town won this game really showed great effort their batsman and their bowlers. PC rank is not good and they lost mostly games 6 and 2 won and other 2 drawn. Bit Cape town team playing very well and they won 7 games  and lost 2 games and one was drawn. In this game, Cape town team set 201 runs target in 20 overs by losing 5 wickets. Opening was brilliant of Cape town team and both batsman Atal and Connor showed brilliant effort and Atal made 74 runs in 46 balls hitting four 4s and six 6s. Connor made 69 runs in 43 balls and hitted six 4s and three 6s.  PC team lost this game easily and chased down only 106 runs and lost game by 95 runs. I feel sad and disappointed the performance of Rangpur squad in eliminator match as well in some previous match after successfully emerged victorious in first eight matches and two international Pakistan cricket player was left Rangpur squad for practice matches Khushdil Shah and Iftikhar Ahmad and their downfall had started. Rangpur squad consecutively lost 5 to 6 matches and eliminate from this competition. In eliminator match, Rangpur squad was begun match first with batting Inning and their squad members managed to collect 85 scores after playing 20 overs as defend which was quite low quality and quite simple to achieve all scores. Nasum Ahmed and Mehidy Hasan Miraz both bowlers displayed very strong performance and played crucial to win match and picked up 3 and 3 wickets respectively. Both Nasum Ahmed and Mohammad Naim build strong batting partnership and managed to collect 48 and 29 scores respectively. Next first qualifier match will start among Kings against Fortune squad.

Rangpur Riders lost the Eliminator match against the Khulna Tigers. This is something we didn't think about initially when the match started. Remember Rangpur Riders was one of the best team of BPL in this season but they are losing consecutive back to back matches and now lost the knockout match.

In this match, Rangpur Riders completely failed in batting. They could only make 85 runs and that was never going to be enough for them to survive in this match. Just looking at their batting line, no was looked to play for long. Akif Javed made 32 right at the bottom of the innings, otherwise it would have been much worse scoring for Rangpur.

I think this is the lowest score in this season of BPL. Rangpur was in such a mess at the beginning and they could not recover from it. They lost in the power play by just 19 runs for 5 wickets. Such a mess does not happen normally. The team's total was only 50 in 11 overs of the match. No one could pull the team back in such a desperate situation. If Rangpur had not lost wickets very early in the match, then even if the team did not win that match, we would have been able to see a total score of 100 + but that was not possible.

On behalf of Khulna Tigers There is no way to say that they have done very well in the entire tournament of BPL this season, but towards the end, they made it to the last four by winning a few matches. But gradually they are doing well and they will dream of going to the final. The team has become much stronger now. With Alex Ross, Shimron Hetmyer in the team, the team has become much stronger at this stage.

Khulana tigers outstanding performance assisted his team to winning by huge 9 wickets victory over Rangapur Riders. In this match the man of the moment is Nasum Ahmed for his amazing bowling performance picked 3 crucial wickets by just giving only 16 runs with an impressive economy rate of just 4 runs per over in his bowling spell and restricted Rangapur Riders under 90 runs. Ah! I was supporting Canterbury and they did not start well. When the toss happened Central Districts won it and they decided to field first which can be a relevant decision according to the pitch. Central Districts had a big advantage here in the start and their bowlers came with full of energy and with one motive of winning. Taking back to back wickets, the openers were struggling of the opponent team, Canterbury lost 8 wickets, and then their bowlers also understood there is less chance for their win and at the end of the day, they lost the big finale.

Fortune Barishal  won the qualifier 1 against Chittagong Kings by 9 wickets. This match was easily won by Fortune Barishal  and Chittagong Kings played really bad.

Chittagong Kings did had a reasonable batting where they were able to score 149 runs. However they bowled pretty badly and didn’t put any pressure on Barishal team. They took only one wicket and that was by Khaled Ahmed and  Fortune Barishal  chased this score with ease.

Rangpur dominated the initial 80% of group phase so comprehensively, only to lose in the knockout phase by such a heavy margin. They got bundled out for just 85 runs. Khushdil and Iftikhar were not available, so the burden fell on the shoulders of James Vince and Soumya Sarkar. And these two made a total of 1 run in this match. They were 15/5 at one stage, BTW. Somehow reached 85, thanks to some late hitting from Akif Javed.

Yes, that was the sad ending to their progress in this BPL. They started well but finished this series in the worst possible way. Initially, when I saw Rangpur Riders at the start of the BPL,  they were winning every match and were the strong team to qualify for the finals or even win it, but they lost them in the last five or six matches.

Khulna Tigers will play their next game tomorrow against Chittagong Kings in a knockout match. Do you think this big win against Rangpur Riders will have a big impact on this match, and will they play with a lot of positivity and confidence?

MI Cape Town are batting first and they have scored 140 runs in 16 overs. This is not a big score and MI needs to really accelerate in these last four overs. Their batting has been their strength. They had an excellent opening wicket stand of 87 runs. Ryan Rickelton made 44 runs and was out by Wellalage. Rassie van der Dussen was bowled by Galiem at 40 runs. Both of these openers weren't able to get to their 50s and were out before getting to that milestone. Dewald Brevis is playing at 23 but the big question is what target will they be able to give to Paarl Royals. I guess we are in for a close match today.
