Kwibuka Women's Twenty20 Tournament

The third place playoff match was played between Uganda Women and Rwanda Women that was won by UGA Women by 20 runs. Batting first they made 107 runs and that was a good score in the context of this series. Immaculate Nakisuuyi made 29 runs while Esther Iloku remains not out at 23. One may think that these are the scores one should be proud of but in this women T20 tournament, anyone who made 20+ runs is considered a good score.

The final of this tournament between Tanzania Women and Zimbabwe Women High Performance XI will be played shortly.

That was low score match because first team made only 107 runs in this match which was very low target and opponent team need run with ball but they could not play well and they lost this match by 20 runs. Rwanda Women cricket team most of players could not enter in double figures and their team could make only 87 runs at the end of inning. The bowlers of Uganda Women team were excellent because they got wickets back to back and stopped the score of opponent team and opponent team could not make runs due to high pressure.I think Rwanda Women team lack in skills and that is reason they are losing matches and they have to be hard worker to win next matches.

Tanzania-W scored only 99 runs. When the first innings ended, i thought that if Zimbabwe-Women High Performance XI will bat with a bit of responsibility, they can chase this score. But as we have seen in a lot of these matches in the series, the chase is always going to be difficult. They could only made 67runs and got all out. Zimbabwe team completely failed to bat, no one could enter into double figure expect Nyasha Gwanzura. In fact he was the only one who made 45 out of those 67 runs, How strange batting it was from a team who reached the tournament final

Tanzania women is very talented team  and their playing styles is also very unique. Watching their players energy and enjoying final match is really lot of fun. It was a one sided game that was won by PNG Women won by four wickets. They only had to chase 64 runs and they did it in only 13 overs. PNG Women won both matches and they are strongest team in this series. They have a strong bowling lineup with players like Pauke Siaka who got four wickets in this match.

Texas Super Kings early batsmen were not looking as stronger as they should be, they got out early after wasting a lot of balls in the  match against Seattle Orcas. However they were still confident because they have good finsiher and especially Stonis who scored 28 off 12 balls. If he would not play this innings then still Texas Super Kings were in lead but to improve the run rate, this innings provided advanatge. Stonis scored 24 runs with the help of sixes, and he was doing clever mind tricks that he was just trying to hit sixes towards straight and two times he tried to hit leg sides but he was playing with strategy.

Washington Freedom got a big win against the Los Angeles Knight Riders today, thanks to the 106 from Glenn Maxwell. Maxi had a poor season with Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League earlier this year, but he seems to be in great form for the Freedom. He got near-zero support from the other batsmen, as the only other significant contribution was 32 from Mitchell Owen. Mitchell also played good in opening of line and made 32 runs in 11 balls and hitted four 4s and two 6s. LAKR team did not encounter this big runs and chased down only 95 runs and lost game by big margin 113 runs. Mitchell effort in bowling was also good with batting and he took down 3 wickets in 3 overs and gave 18 runs. Jack also helped in bowling and he dismissed 3 wickets  in 3 overs.

Second win for Washington Freedom, and now they have 2 wins from 3 matches and a total of 4 points. And the win was mainly due to Maxi. MI New York chased down a massive target of 203 set by Seattle, with plenty of balls to spare. And it was Monank Patel who performed with the bat for MINY.

There was probably no final match in this competition and it seems this tournament was held just for testing purposes among these three squads because all three squads had recently finished playing ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 one day format matches. All six matches of Scotland T20 Tri-Series competition was completed today and last match was finished among Scotland squad against Nepal squad. Every squad were participated three matches each and first position was won by Scotland squad and they lost one match total of three and both Scotland and Nepal squad have same points but difference in Runs Rate. Scotland displayed very strong performance today in batting inning and Nepal did not face their scores and fell short by 34 scores. Thanks to George Munsey, who played very fantastic inning and he collected 78 scores off 39 deliveries.

Major League's 10th game was an amazing expression of the skills and great captaincy by San Francisco Unicorns which guided the team towards victory. Texas Super Kings were to bat first with a fabulous performance by Faf du who scored a century and the first partnership ended at 97 runs. They took a strong start but the upcoming players struggled losing wickets at short intervals. SF bowled out 5 players at 198 runs. SF played with great strategy and mind blowing performance by openers who scored a partnership of 117 runs putting pressure on their opponents. One down player scored 37 runs which brought to runs very closer to target and rest of the 2 players made it possible to score 202 runs and winning this game by 7 wickets.
