Today's the first game of Kabul Premier League, Kabul Zalmi and Kabul Knight Riders both teams tied the game so result was announ after a super over. Kabul Zalmi scored a target of 188 runs and the KKR scored the same for which a super over decided the game. Kabul Zalmi opened the innings with Akram and Gurbaz who scored a 13 runs partnership followed by three wicket losses at 15 runs. Zalmi wasn't expected to score a great target but their final order hitted boundaries so they could collectively score 188 runs. KKR took a powerful start as their openers scored a partnership of 103 runs making an ease for their upcoming players. Always nice to see a lot of associate players in these tournaments. David Wiese is no longer playing for Namibia, but he was one of the achitects for the Brampton Blitz win. He had figures of 2-0-6-3 while bowling, and picked up important wickets of Dilpreet Bajwa and Josh Brown. For the Montreal Royal Tigers, Shakib Al Hasan got a start, but he got out before converting it to a 50. And none of the other batsmen supported him. Blitz chased down the target in 5 overs, with Martin Guptill and James Vince going berserk.

PS vs BAS

In KPL series,  11 th game was played and this game was played between PS team and BAS team. BAS team won toss and they elected bowling first and gave batting lineup to PS team. PS team set 253 big target in 20 overs by losing 4 wickets. Asghar effort in opening of lineup was excellent and he made 63 runs in 38 balls and hitting four 4s and three 6s. Emal was not dismissed in full lineup and his effort really helped a lot team to win this game and he scored 75 runs in 36 balls and hitted three 4s and seven 6s. BAS team played close game and target was very big but their batting effort was also outstanding but unfortunately they lost game by 4 runs. BAS team chased down 249 runs in 20 overs and lost this game.

Zimbabwe Cricket Academy squad unable to defeat big scores and fell short by 23 scores. Blessing Mangove performance was superb and played crucial role in bowling and he picked up 2 wickets in just 5 deliveries.

That is yesterday the matches of Harare be complete and in their last match Marylebone Cricket Club won the match. They gave the opposing team a target of 171 runs in 20 overs but the players of Zimbabwe Academy could not make themselves capable of achieve this target. Marylebone Cricket Club player Alastair Frost score 34 runs in 24 overs and his partner Ben Ellison managed to score 30 runs in 18 balls. The second innings of Zimbabwe Academy start very well but in the end their players could not support each other due to which they are ashamed. But Marylebone Cricket Club is feeling proud of its players.

Congratulations MCC won 7th T20 game. MCC team won game by 23 runs. Watching their players energy and enjoying the match is a lot of fun. MCC showed excellent teamwork and skill on the field. I hope Zimbabwe Academy will fix their mistakes they will play better in the next tournament. The 7th T20  match between MCC and Zimbabwe Acedamy was played at Takashinga Sports Club . MCC won the toss and elected to batting first. The best bowling performance in the MCC team was played by Blessing Mangove and bowled 0.5 overs took 3 wickets and conceded 3 runs. Mohammed Rizvi conceded 29 runs and took 2 wickets bowled 4 overs.

Recent match of Kabul Premier League competition was finished and in this match, Abasin Defenders squad and Band-e Amir Stars squads were participated and both played thrilling match today. Band-e Amir Stars  squad was begun match first with batting inning and batters were managed to collect 184 scores after playing 20 overs inning and lost 6 batter wickets. Kamal Barakzai played crucial role in victory and his performance in bowling was brilliant and picked up 2 important wickets and also other two bowlers picked up total 4 wickets. Abasin Defenders squad emerged victory in match and successfully achieved all scores easily. Bahar Shinwari  played wonderful inning and he collected 56 scores.

Kabul knight riders and Abasin Defenders showed a game full of competition and cooperation. Kabul knight riders opened the innings first with Imran and Sabir who scored a great 98 runs partnership in just five overs which boosted the runs to sky. Kabul knight riders didnt lost many balls so they got an advantage with some extra runs. Abasin Defenders eliminated five wickets but the KKR had a strong lead at that time. KKR scored a target of 247 runs.
Abasin defenders no dought gave a trough competition to KKR unfortunately they couldnt name this game with victory. They couldnt take a strong start but their top order played its role. Just by the small mistakes of last three players they lost this game by 15 runs.

KZ team set big target 222 runs in 20 overs by losing 8 wickets. Masood batting effort was excellent and he helped a lot team to make big runs 74 in 36 balls and hitted nine 4s and four 6s. NOorullah and Akram both batsman also showed good help in batting and both played well with Masood batsmen. BAS did not encounter KZ runs and they chased down only 173 runs and lost game by big margin 49 runs. Lalbaz bowler took down 3 wickets in 4 overs and gave 29 runs.

I watched some of the matches in YouTube and was impressed with the ground and other facilities. For domestic matches, there is always a decent crowd attendance in Afghanistan. Cricket is one of the most popular sports there, although there are difficulties due to political isolation. But even that is changing, as the Taliban government is now entering into deals with countries such as China and India. The success of KPL means that for the next season of the Shpageeza Cricket League, we can expect even bigger crowd.
