Durbar XI vs Dhumketu XI

Is there anyone here who is familiar with this newly start competition with the name of Odommo Bangladesh T20 Cup.

Durbar XI and Dhumketu XI squads were participated in this second match and Dhumketu XI squad was started match first with batting inning and batters were managed to collect 156 scored off 20 overs inning with lost of 8 batter wickets. Durbar XI squad succeeded to defeat Dhumketu XI squad in second match and they achieved all scores after playing close difference and with 2 wickets and 3 deliveries, Durbar XI squad emerged victory. Nurul Hasan was top scorer and top performer of this match and he played wonderful inning and collected 76 scores off 44 deliveries.

The match was between Duronto and Durbar team in which Duronto team did not show the performance that they should have seen because Duronto showed a little laxity in today's match, taking advantage of which Durbar team won this match. Only one player of Duronto, Ariful Islam, scored 41 runs to add to his team's numbers. Apart from this, the performance of all the other players was very poor. Compared to Duronto team, three players of Durbar have shown good performance out of which Mahmudul Hasan Joy scored 58 runs against both teams and won today's match with the loss of only three wickets.

Another competition Odommo Bangladesh T20 Cup was completed tdoay and final clash among Durbar XI and Dhumketu XI squads were participated in this match. Dhumketu XI squad was begun match first with batting inning and batters were managed to collect 208 scores off 20 overs inning. Thanks to Tanzid Hasan and Saif Hassan batters both were built strong and long batting partnership and both were collected 88 and 79 scores respectively. I also appreciate Durbar XI batters and their batters reached quite close to achieve scores sadly they were fell short by 7 scores. Mustafizur Rahman bowler played important role in victory and he picked up 2 significant wickets of Dhumketu XI squad.

Karnataka has qualified for the semi-finals of Ranji Trophy, after defeating a strong Mumbai side. KL Rahul was the star for Karnataka as he scored 130 in the second innings. Apart from Rahul, Mayank Agarwal also scored 92 in the first innings. Indian test discard Karun Nair continued with his poor form, scoring a total of 17 runs from two innings. He recently moved from Vidarbha to Karnataka and it looks like he will find himself out of the Karnataka squad once more (and this time it will be permanent). For Mumbai, it was the bowlers who excelled, especially Mohit Avasthi and Tushar Deshpande.

What a brilliant batting by Dhumketu XI. Mind blowing performance they showed. Every player showed magnificent performance. Especially the openers played very well inning. Tanzid Hasan scored 88 runs in 54 ball and remained not out till end. Also saif hassan played brilliant batting he scored 79 runs in 44 balls, he hit 7 sixes and 4 balls. Very nice batting. But in bowling line they could not perform well because they won the match by 7 runs and if a chance opponent gets then could be they won the match. Almost every bowler bowled with 12 plus economy rate else 2 or 3. And if we talk about Durbar XI  bowling side then they gave much more runs. They did not perform well in bowling line. Almost all bowlers performance not well but some prominent bowlers showed very poor bowling, Khaled Ahmed gave 27 runs in 2 overs and mehdi hassan gave 19 runs in 0.4 overs. So due to poor bowling they couldn't win the match even though they batted well.

Durbar XI chased 156 runs but not easily. If we looked then it was not tough total but opponent made it tough. If Nurul Hasan does not play well then maybe they lose the match he scored 76 runs in 44 balls, he hit 4 fours and 6 sixes. Remaining other players could not stay on crease for a long time.
On the other hand Dhumketu XI team bowled well if a player did not give more runs then they called match winner. Shoriful Islam bowling performance was very disappointing he gave 52 runs in 3 overs and did not take any wicket. Remaining other players bowled well bowling and tried to won the match but they lost the match very closely. The credit goes to the winning team who tried very best and won the match.

Bakal Durbar XL achieved winning despite facing many difficulties. If a team is not able to show their batting, they bowl hard and put the opposing team in trouble. Before Nurul Hassan came, the scoreboard was very low. As soon as he came, he took control of the match. Nurul Hassan definitely deserved to win this match. Despite the uncharacteristic batting of the rest of the batsmen, he won the match by 2 wickets and 3 balls. There is no doubt that Dhumketu XL bowled well, but their batting was very poor. If all the batsmen supported each other, they could have achieved a big goal. Dhumketu XL's great batsman Mahedi Hasan played very few balls but scored a lot of runs. His strike rate was the highest, but he too could not win.

Today's match was played between Dhumketu and Durbar, which explains that Dhumketu's team won this match in a very good way. In the previous matches, Durbar's team showed good performance, but today's match could not be won because only two players of Dhumketu played this match in a very good way and won this match. In 5 matches competition, first match was successfully finished among Qatar and Bahrain squads and Bahrain squad was begun match first with batting inning and batters were managed to collect 113 scores after playing 20 overs inning. In first match, Bahrain squad failed to face Qatar bowler strongly and their batters displayed bad strength. Shariq Munir bowler played crucial role in getting victory and he picked up 4 important wickets of Bahrain squad. With 7 wickets and 20 deliveries, Qatar squad successfully emerged victorious and Bahrain faced first defeat. Saqlain Arshad was top scorer of match and he played superb inning against Bahrain bowlers and he managed to collect 54 scores.

That sounds good that the USA is looking all set for this tournament. Just like in the previous T20 World Cup, when they joined as a host and even beat Pakistan, they qualified for the next stages, so the wait is now about what milestone they achieve this season.

In the warm-up games before they played a good game against India A team but missed it by several runs, however they scored up to 200 runs that time and this time once again against New Zealand, they scored 201. Lost the match by 7 runs.

To beat Pakistan was not a big deal, especially in 2024 when Pakistan was suffering from their poor form. It is normal for the Pakistan team to lose against every weaker team like they lost against Ireland, Zimbabwe in ICC World Cup 2022 and against USA in 2024 and if we start to count these kinds of upsets so it might be too many of them.

However, it is good to see that they are doing well right now and hopefully will perform the same in the group stages game and qualify into the next stages which helps them to qualify for the next T20 World Cup, because I am sure USA are not going to qualify for the Semi-Final or playoff rounds.

Scott Edwards is good Captain and he applied pressure in this match and opponent team could not make big target in this match and he is aggressive player and he handled the pressure of this match. Bas de Leede was player of the match because he made 72 runs in this match and played only 48 runs and hit 4 sixes and 5 fours in this match. Scott Edwards contribution was great in this match but Bas de Leede gave all round performance because he took 2 wickets in this match and that day was of only Bas de Leede. Yes, Oman team lost this today's game by big margin 105 runs and this was 16 th game of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup series. Oman team won toss and they got chance to take first bat or bowl and they elected field first and gave batting lineup to Sri Lanka team. Sri Lanka batsmen gave big target 225 runs in 20 overs by losing 5 wickets. Opener batsmen of Sri Lanka team was very strong but in this game both Pathum and Kamil batted poor and made small runs. Kasul made brilliant half century total 61 runs in 45 balls and hitted seven 4s. Pavan and Dusan also helped a lot team to win game and both also performed well with Kasul. Dasun made 50 runs in 20 balls and Pavan  scored 60 runs in 28 balls. Oman team only chased down 120 runs and lost game by 105 margin. Sri Lanka team did not lose any game and they won both games.

In Ranji Trophy (Indian domestic 4-day competition), the semi-final matches will be played starting from this Sunday. Uttarakhand will take on Karnataka in the first semi-final at the Ekana cricket stadium in Lucknow, while Bengal will take on Jammu-Kashmir at Kalyani in the second semi. Uttarakhand was the surprise for this season (similar to Vidarbha in the previous season). On the other hand, Karnataka is dealing with the poor form of a few of their players. Bahrain team won toss and they chose fielding first and gave batting lineup to Qatar team. First 3 games of this series were successfully played and all games Qatar team won and Bahrain lost all games. Qatar batsmen set 201 runs target in 20 overs by losing 4 wickets. Zubair and Imal batsmen helped alot team to win game and their effort in opening was mind blowing. Zubair scored 86 runs in 58 balls and hitted eight 4s and four 6s. Imal also batted well and he scored 36 runs in 26 balls and hitted four 4s and one 6s. Bahrain chased 170 runs and lost 3 rd T20 game by 31 runs. Saqlain bowling effort was helpful and he bowled 1 over and took 1 wicket and gave 1 runs.

This series is going to be quite interesting because this is the third T20 match between Qatar and Bahrain. The results of the first two batches have come, which the Qatari team has won. In this too, the Qatari team batted first and set a target of 201 runs, in which they made their full name. But the Bahraini team is not at all ashamed that they have lost three matches in a row. They should have won if not for yellow, if not for the second, if not for the third, but in this match too they scored 170 runs and this match ended because they did not set a plan in this match, due to which they could not cover the overs and only five of their players were out and all the overs were finished. Qatar's performance in this match was really amazing because they have a spirit of encouragement and enthusiasm.
