I am very sorry to tell you that Splinterlands appears to be a project that has failed to receive very wide community support from the cryptospace and the gaming community. The pump and dumpers deserve much of the blame. They were only speculating on the token and left many bagholders who were loyal to the project. Will this be a 100x gaming token? It might be, however, there will be newer and more attractive investments in play to earn on the bull market.

Splinterlands is still the most active web 3 game by every metric, most daily active users, most transactions, most active discord and the only web 3 game with an active DAO decentralized autonomous organization. To date the SPS DAO has passed 33 proposals, shut down 12 more and has 5 proposals in progress. It will take years for any other game to build the blockchain infrastructure that has been built by the 20 developers in SPL.

Phase 1.5 Release

Phase 1.5 of the Secret of Praetoria expansion to the Splinterlands game is currently scheduled to be released next Tuesday, November 14th, 2023! The first phase of the project was released earlier this year allowing players who had purchased land claim tokens to redeem them for land plot NFTs with specific locations around the continent of Praetoria, which could then be surveyed to reveal additional details such as the terrain type, rarity, and available resources.

In Phase 1.5 players will be able to begin staking DEC tokens and worker cards on their land plots in order to produce a small subset of the resources that will ultimately be available within Praetoria starting in phase 2 and beyond. Most notably, players will be able to begin researching the mysterious continent and get a head start on unlocking the Secret of Praetoria and the rewards that lay within!

Please keep in mind that some of the items in the whitepaper are still in progress and will not be part of the initial release. The team did not feel that these features should hold up the release, and they will be added in to the product in the future as soon as they are ready. Phase 2

As most of you know, phase 1.5 is meant as an interim phase that will allow players to begin experimenting with a small subset of land and resource management before the full release of buildings and resources in phase 2 which is expected next year.

Phase 2 of the Secret of Praetoria expansion is set to feature over 30 different types of buildings that can be constructed and upgraded on players' land plots in order to produce over 50 different resources, as part of an intricate and interconnected system with the end result being the crafting of Item and Spell cards beginning in Phase 3. This phase will also allow players to begin the reconstruction project to discover the Secret of Praetoria and to unlock the full value of their land ownership in an expansive new gameplay experience.

The first draft of the phase 2 whitepaper is expected to be released in the near future in order to give everyone more information on what is to come and to begin collecting feedback from the community, so please stay tuned for that!

Splinterlands is one of the games that I'd like to play before but when I have seen that most of these games have fell down in value and it's more of a hype that's built on them, I have never checked them again.

None of the in-game assets have fallen nearly as much as the governance token (sps) The nft's didn't even fall as much as bitcoin. Runi, an ingame corssbridge nft is actually up 300% during the bear market. SPS is only a tiny fraction of the overall economy of Splinterlands

With the current 21M marketcap it can do 100X from here but is this game really unique or just another copy of other projects business model. When a lot of GameFi projects failed due to their bad tokenomics, how did this project manage to survive the market and keep its token value? To keep its token value the game needs a dedicated player and needs to generate money from the game. Anyway, the ETH and BSC chain are not the best chain for the GameFi project. A gamefi project requires frequent transactions or interactions that require low fees otherwise players will turn away from the game. I am not sure if your game requires something like that or not.

I didn't know that but I'll take a look and see on how is going to be. But IMHO, the timing is good because we all know what comes next year and that's also going to affect every game. And as long as there is a demand, it's probably that will be better than the past years.

A gamefi project requires frequent transactions or interactions that require low fees otherwise players will turn away from the game.

It is on Hive blockchain, which has free transactions although you have to stake some Hive for that, $10 worth hive should be plenty, you can also lease from other Hive users, but imo purchasing some and staking is better.
