Splinterlands 1.5 is set to release on November 28
Silus of the Rift and his legions of Chaos hold the kingdoms, empires, and city-states of the Splinterlands in an iron-fisted grip of tyranny. Rumors have arisen of the Secret of Praetoria—an enigmatic project that promises to change the Splinterlands forever—and those of the League will race to be the first to discover what it is.

Phase 1.5 Release
Phase 1.5 of the Secret of Praetoria expansion to the Splinterlands game is currently scheduled to be released next Tuesday, November 14th, 2023! The first phase of the project was released earlier this year allowing players who had purchased land claim tokens to redeem them for land plot NFTs with specific locations around the continent of Praetoria, which could then be surveyed to reveal additional details such as the terrain type, rarity, and available resources.
In Phase 1.5 players will be able to begin staking DEC tokens and worker cards on their land plots in order to produce a small subset of the resources that will ultimately be available within Praetoria starting in phase 2 and beyond. Most notably, players will be able to begin researching the mysterious continent and get a head start on unlocking the Secret of Praetoria and the rewards that lay within!

Please keep in mind that some of the items in the whitepaper are still in progress and will not be part of the initial release. The team did not feel that these features should hold up the release, and they will be added in to the product in the future as soon as they are ready. Phase 2
As most of you know, phase 1.5 is meant as an interim phase that will allow players to begin experimenting with a small subset of land and resource management before the full release of buildings and resources in phase 2 which is expected next year.
Phase 2 of the Secret of Praetoria expansion is set to feature over 30 different types of buildings that can be constructed and upgraded on players' land plots in order to produce over 50 different resources, as part of an intricate and interconnected system with the end result being the crafting of Item and Spell cards beginning in Phase 3. This phase will also allow players to begin the reconstruction project to discover the Secret of Praetoria and to unlock the full value of their land ownership in an expansive new gameplay experience.
The first draft of the phase 2 whitepaper is expected to be released in the near future in order to give everyone more information on what is to come and to begin collecting feedback from the community, so please stay tuned for that!
