Hello guys

As you may know or not know or don't care... I wasn't quite active the past year, but I'm coming from time to time to read. There are quite some things happening like the Ratimov drama for example which I found out by chance. I really like to know what's going on here, but I don't have the time to go through 10 topics to find what I want to read.

That's why I was thinking about a thread collecting all the gossip and making it easy to adjust the clock to the current forum situation.
Kind of TL;DR for lazy ppl

I am not an expert at this kind of stuff, but that would not require someone to update a thread constantly with all the gossip they see around? Like in the same way people update the thread of signature campaigns in the service discussion section of the forum?

I am not sure how interested people are about gossip and drama (I personally prefer to look and not comment at all) but it would take at least a half dozen of people to be willing to get out their way to collect all that information.

Also, perhaps you already saw it, but there seems to be a little bit of drama going on, concerning some red-tag left on the admin profile. You may want to take a look at it...

Please add the reputation board there's more drama and gossip here than meta, in our country gossip is the national past time so I guess it's going to be our pasttime here i think we should add a gossip section this is going to be oen section that will attract more attention.

reputation and off topic would be appropriate for such topics. Drama does not happen very often and you can join the forum channel on Discord where forum related events can be discussed more quickly. If the topic is not locked and self-moderated, it will turn into dharma in its entirety.

meta is for "discussion about bitcoin forum", so I guess your concern does not belong here, but I'm sure off-topic would be always the right section to accomodate such concerns that aren't belong to popular sections or boards of the forum.

It does not need to be added. The gossip section par excellence is Reputation, which far surpasses the gossip that can be found in Meta.

Why will the discussion be locked? Threads like that are kept opened unless another one to continue discussing it is opened.

Off-topic is not a board for it. Because it is about the members of this forum, it should be on reputation board. There may be some of it that may also be in meta, but if it is about a member on this forum, it should be on reputation.

It's hard to create the summary thread you'd like to see, because there's a lot of gossip on the forum, especially in the meta section and reputation section.

This drama never ends and is constantly renewed. I am sorry that such things happen in our beloved forum, but this is the situation and nothing can be done to stop it.

Also, creating such a thread may turn into another type of drama and gossip that we must work to clean the forum of.

I joined this forum not long ago, and yes, I saw a topic about ratimov or symmetric drama. However, I also don't really understand the overall storyline of the drama, such as many previous incidents and in this thread there is a continuation of the battle from several previous cases.

Maybe it would be a better idea to make a Youtube video about it, with a bearded man explaining what happened, no? Those of us who have been following the issues don't need a summary thread and those who haven't heard about it I think they would be better entertained with a video.

There just ain't enough demand for something like this compared to the amount of work it will take to start and maintain. People who are on the forum and don't know what's going on in reputation are most likely not interested in that board and the drama that comes with it, those who are not frequenting the forum anymore will definitely not be too interested in the nuances that goes on here.

A recap of what's going on in bitcoin will be something I will love to see and follow, but that's just me.

Meta is more focused about the forum itself and i think the real gossip board is the reputation board, there yiu will discover alot of thread there including the old and new on what's happening with some members of the forum, there lies the real gossip and not meta, but i think Meta board should be the next after reputation board, the first three pages on the reputation board alone is good enough for you to hear about the latest.

It has become my habit when I go online to read one by one the posts about drama discussions that often occur on reputation boards.

Of the long plays to read can be a personal experience, not all of them are bad. There are important points that I can learn from.
Imo, OP's question is good. Where to start?
If there are comments that are beyond my reasoning, I will run away.

No, not off-topic for forum drama.  Either Reputation or Meta, and both of these have already been suggested and I'm pretty sure OP is thinking of one or the other.

Welcome back, TheBeardedBaby!  Compared to years past, there really hasn't been tons of drama or really serious crap go down since you've been gone.  Yeah, the Ratimov thing and Royse777 getting his reputation tarnished practically overnight.  Vod came back twice to stir the pot about OgNasty and forum funds....aside from those things, I'll be damned if I can think of anything that stuck in my Teflon memory bank.  It's been almost too quiet.

Gossip is part of every community because it help newbies or people that were not part of the forum by  then to know what happened in the past and most times when I visit the reputation board, I spend a lot of time reading about what I have missed in the past when I was not yet a member of this forum. It also help one to remember what happened in the past and what is happening presently that some forum members are not aware of. Reputation board is the right place to get all those gist and maybe Meta board is also where we can see such but it is limited compare to reputation board.

Reputation board has become the new Drama Section in forum, only thing we are missing there is promotion for new movies based on real life events in recent topics created there 
This is probably the best place if you want to waste time on topics like that, but I would spend time on more productive things instead.

At first, I thought you were talking about crypto gossip, like the kind you'd find on The Sun and the Daily Mirror - well the section for that is called "Press".

But really though, drama is usually over quite stupid things when you think about it, that's why I am not so easy about having the equivalent of a full-page advert showing all the current scandals.

Let me assume that I understand you correctly, but do you think anyone would go through all that when the main topic is lurking somewhere? Even at that, I believe the Meta section has what you seek, Except that you would have to do the tonnes yourself manually. Just continue to browse through and you shall get what you need.

By the way, nice meeting you for the first time here, and I love your beards if I must say.
