However, the current bullishness of Bitcoin that I see in the market seems to indicate that Bitcoin will rise even more very soon.  If I had held on to my bitcoins I might have made more profit when the bull market started. But I have no way to do this because I don't have money.

You sold your bitcoin earlier its a mistake but you sold it because you need money for buying laptop and also you get profit from your bitcoin is a good point towards achievement. If the goal is just to invest in Bitcoin, I think this can also be done via a smartphone or tablet device that we already own without having to spend more money to buy a more expensive laptop or PC for that. Someone can easily invest via their smartphone and use the money for purchasing the laptop into their own investment capital so that they can invest much larger capital than just spending it on buying a new device to invest in Bitcoin.

Because this is not a difficult thing for everyone who wants to invest to do, so there is no need to apply the wrong understanding that investing in Bitcoin requires a laptop if someone wants to do it. Just do it with the existing device as long as the device is sufficient for investing and accessing any exchanges and wallets that we need.

However, seeing you regretting OP is not reasonable based on what I've understand your situation. There are life's decisions that are sometimes hard to control, especially if you are in the state of financial struggles because you aim something that your finances can't afford, but if selling bitcoin is the best option, I guess that would still be a positive idea, not a negative one. Sell when it's needed, because that's the main reason why you invest in the first place. I understand your regret but you actually needed to buy that laptop, you said yourself that you really needed a laptop but you couldn't afford. You spent your bitcoins for something actually useful, think that there are people who sell their investments in order to spend the money for restaurants or clothes, those, in my opinion, are stupid choices, yours is not, don't beat yourself up.

There is no hard and fast rule that you must invest the money into Bitcoin even when you don't have money for basic necessities or survival, I would always prefer to invest the money which I have saved additionally which has been accumulated by saving on unnecessary expenses. Whenever you cashout you will feel that you should have hodled it but longer as price continues to increase but luckily we have accumulation period in the name of bear market. Even if you have to cashout you can buy more during these period.

I think it's okay to follow other people's interest in bitcoin investment - it's because of the profit. Someone won't be interested in something that doesn't make a profit  and as long as bitcoin allows whoever the investor is to make a return, then bitcoin can always be an option even if he doesn't have much passion for it yet.

My interest in bitcoin grew because of other people – of course because they could make a profit from bitcoin. I learned how it works and what the benefits are - so investing is not just buying and keeping it in your wallet and selling when the profit target is reached.

If in the end you prefer to be more important and have made a profit from the bitcoin you bought before I don't think thats a bad thing because in the end even though bitcoin is one of the very good assets today but if you really need something important and have to sell the profits you receive I don't think that's a problem because bitcoin is like secondary and your urgent personal needs are primary so when bitcoin is the only way you have and there is no way but to sell to complete the needs you have then why regret it as long as it is profitable.

OP Don't regret because you didn't lose your Bitcoin just use it for what you need.
You may have bought Bitcoin at the right time for which you got the right profit. I haven't bought bitcoins yet or I haven't had the chance to buy one for which I'm still waiting to buy bitcoins.
When I get the chance or when I have the money to buy bitcoins I will buy bitcoins and present them to you and discuss them with you.
I have seen many people on this forum say that investing in Bitcoin is life changing.I also want to invest with that hope but for the long term.

I agree, very well said, many people here in this topic is saying that what OP did is not a good idea or not good, yes we are there, he missed a lot of opportunity as he sell his stored bitcoin in such a price, but he didn't just sell his bitcoin for nothing, he sell it for him to buy his "essential" thing and that essential thing is very important as he said, he needed that laptop for his study and for free lancing meaning he is just think about his future and to earn more by freelancing which is a good thing, so although there is a regret because of selling the bitcoin a bit too early still he achieve one of his goal to continue studying and to earn by doing work, so you over there who blaming him or adding more regretful statement about selling the bitcoin, we all have different needs, some are not fortunate enough just to wait and wait, at least bitcoin help him continue his study.

At whatever price level anyone sells off is their convenient level, whether in profit or in loss. As we chat now, there are many people who are selling off with the little spike Bitcoin has witnessed in the past few days. They think it will dip again and they want to play smart by taking profit now. I wouldn't say they're stupid selling because those of us here know that Bitcoin is trying to rally up. So, why sell this quick? Many would ask. Buying and selling is what keeps the value of Bitcoin or any other up. If no one sells, nothing happens. We all can't hodl forever. To say the truth, hodling doesn't bestow any value on Bitcoin until we set our prices to sell. It's the actions of those trading it that determine the value we see on our hedl Bitcoin.

OP, you shouldn't be regretting your action of selling; provided you achieved a purpose with it when you sold. You can find a convenient level to still get in back. The market is just commencing its rally. 2024 will be a bullish moment in this industry. That's the expectation from past historical data.
