I don’t think this will be any type of problem for the forum or its users. I actually think it’s the people selling goods or services that will likely feel the impact of this, as it seems there will be less coins floating around as a result. I still support it though. Had to be done.

But by continuing with the URL, the forum would be generating organic traffic to these mixing sites. The purpose of this measure is for the forum not to be a provider of organic traffic for these sites. Therefore, it ends up being the readers' responsibility to find these sites in the way they find most appropriate for them.

So, like I say Coca-Cola, I don't generate any traffic for that company. But, if I say Coca-Cola, I will generate traffic for that company.

If a clearnet site has been seized wordfilter would defeat the object because the site will not be accessible. Also, stating the name of the mixer without posting their URL is allowed. Well, I guess that settles that then. By now all members should be clear on what is allowed to be posted as well as what will get them in trouble (but just wait a while and you will see some very strange questions being asked).

They (people) will know how to not fall in a phishing site. And new mixers are not usually targeted by phishing TLDs.
As long the rules are respected, there's still a use for some. Probably less usefull we can think but let's try it

Yeah, the ones who use mixers probably have some good technical background and they won't fall for the phishing sites in most cases. You're also right the phishers don't really target new mixers because they believe that the users won't use the new mixers. Their main target is always going to be a reputed mixer that has been on the market for quite some time.

Most of the mixers that were on this forum have shifted their threads on another forum. Who knows in future people may find trusted mixers on this forum. The people will always do research before using any of the mixers and as long as their research takes them to a good place then they might not face those phishing sites.

True.  The clear net website shows the seized image from FBI and only one of the Onion links works but it also shows the seized image once you press Mix.  I wonder why they let the website running and only show it once you press Mix however.

Even funnier than that is the Contact page and the About Us link at the bottom leads to The Federal Criminal Police Office of Germany with the text 'Want to earn an honest living in crypto? Visit our career page!'.

I find it annoying how the Mixer names are word filtered using []s.  In one of my PMs 'Webmixer' with a link to the website has been filtered to what now shows as '/en/]Webmixer' due to the []s in '[banned mixer]' which closes the URL code.

Yes this is true. But in these fields, it turns out to be a little irrelevant that a wrong link can occur in any case.

I understand the idea that there is no longer a minimally viable place to validate the information.

Anybody compiling any stats about how this change has already effected the community?  I'm curious if the amount of posts per day is down at all.  I'm also curious what the result for mixer signature campaign participants is.  Did they just move to other signature campaigns and continue their posting habits or did they leave the site altogether?  Has new account registrations been effected?  Are signature campaign managers being flooded with new requests?  Rather than continue to beat a dead horse about no longer allowing them to advertise on the basis of money laundering, I think it would be more useful to start to analyze the effects of this decision (on the community, not the mixers).

I guess the typical number of posts per day or week won't change that much, long as stuff like Bitvest and Eloncoin campaigns keeps going.  Those reward up to 60 posts per week!  There might be a little drop off, but probably not significantly.  All participants doing the mixer campaigns seemed active and engaged posters.  So they shouldn't have trouble getting into new signature campaigns if they ain't already.

As for other impacts, hard to say just yet.  Too early to make any real judgements on that.

And here I was hoping and expecting the number of low quality posts and spam to decrease substantially. If any campaign is rewarding participants to post with up to 60 posts per week then I think the full effect of the mixer ban will not be visible when it comes to numbers of post or assessing low quality posts and spam.

With mixers now banned it will leave many members searching for campaigns. How many will continue frequenting the forum if they do not get paid for posting? That also should become apparent within a short space of time.

Well, looking at the ninjastic.space graphs and without doing much math, the data looks very similar to previous weeks:


Therefore, I would say that there was not such a big impact on the pace of posts on the forum.

I do not believe this new policy changed their income dramatically.  From a quick search, there is jambler, exch, yours, wasabi and probably more.  They are all paying more than a hundred bucks per week.  From the popular, is it mixtum, sinbad and mixerio which suspended their operations?  No big deal.

Since majority of mixer campaign members moved to other campaign, that's really not a surprise.

Dramatically no, but change is noticeable and probably will be even more in the long run as mixer campaigns were traditionally the most paid ones. Still, even with the mixer ban situation is much better than it was few years ago when standard payrate was $50 per week for a Legendary member.
