Focus on gambling as your main job? Wow, this is really brave but the risk is very high.
If it were me, of course I wouldn't dare take this risk. Even though we know that sometimes gambling gives quite high and tempting profits so that we feel like we are above the clouds. But on the other hand, gambling is also very risky. So it is not easy for everyone to get gains easily, instead they end up losing. For me personally, I wouldn't be able to and wouldn't want to do it as the main focus of my main job. If it's just a side thing or just for having fun, it's no problem as long as we can still control and manage ourselves.

I could gamble but thinking about considering this as a source of income, I couldn't imagine if I could do it knowing the fact that I was not too lucky enough in gambling. Making a full-time journey in gambling is not actually a wrong decision but it was not recommended knowing that gambling is too risky and aside from that, we don't have to rely on our future for luck. We have no assurance in gambling and if you know that only a few become a successful gambler and it means something. It could be a good option if we run a business like this, not as a gambler.

You mean as a "player" and build a career? Professional gambling where your games are hosted and sponsored and stuffs like those? Then sure, why not. It is possible. But you wanting to bet with little risk or no loss at all is not possible. No matter how much you try, you can't beat the casino. Also since you will have "deep knowledge" of casino and gambling, you should already know that in the long run, the casino will win.

Poker players and sportsbetting are about the only 2 ways I would consider gambling a feasible option for making a living from and even those 2 aren't easy at all to make constant earnings from.

With sportsbetting you can get information on the sporting event you are looking to bet on. Injury reports, weather, record vs each other, record on the year, good home team, good road team, or whatever. Even knowing all this and making an educated bet does not guarantee a win on the bet, anything can happen still.

Poker is a game where a person can win upwards of 5-15 million in 1 tourney if they have skill and luck. Buyin to the world series main event every June in Las Vegas is $10000 and top prize goes up each year as more and more enter the tourney each year. You have to put a lot into learning the game of poker. Learning to read opponents, using math to figure out your odds of winning a hand, odds of whether a bet is worth calling, or a number of things.

IMO, you're better off getting a normal job and gambling here n there.

You can make gambling a full time job if you want, but the question is can you be able to make it out without getting your self stocked in a financial situation where your gambling can’t be able to free you from? Like if you are confidence on your self that your luck and skill is in your favour to grate win then you can give that a try but have it in mind that everyday can’t be a winning day for you and when you don’t win in three to 4 straight games or a week or two what next will you do, how will you foot the bills or what will be your next option, we are free to do what we know it can give us our desire financial comfort providing that it’s legal, we just have to give it a second taught before going into it fully.

I have heard people say they are professional gamblers and rely on gambling for a living. For me, that is not possible because there are times I might not win any game for months but have bills to pay. If I rely on gambling as my main source of income I would be deep down in debt because the income is not steady. I suspect that those successful full-time gamblers might have been lucky to make a fortune from gambling through big wins which could make them gamble with little sums as they use the big wins to sustain themselves and family.

I don't also think that  there is any sustainable strategies that will make one win games consistently. The house will always have an edge over players so it will be risky not to engage in other work activities because you are relying on gambling for your financial support. I know gamblers in my area who spend almost their entire day in physical game shops many of them end up becoming beggars or engaging in criminal activities. Nope! It's similar to how you can't exactly consider professional gaming as a "full-time" job. It's more situational e.g. tournament based + some adder sources of revenues/activities such as fan meets, adverts, etc. In gambling cases, you'd mostly be in a tournament-based setting where you'd get your money's worth where even if you lose, there's still some money there from the org that sponsored you plus advertisements and probably some tournament rewards. 

In regular old gambling instances? You'd be hardpressed to stably earn a steady amount of upward idk, $100? per week at least and that's a minimum. I imagine you'd need more in countries like the US where cost of living is higher.

This is not the first time I’m responding to a topic like this and each time I respond I always like to keep at that from of my mind that; Gambling has to do majorly with “luck” so if you’re to take it as a source of income neglecting all other sources then you’re doing nothing more than digging your own grave.

I can't make gambling a professional career, I prefer to gamble for entertainment and doing that only during my free time. I prefer not to rely on gambling before I can get money as I know the disadvantages of been dependant on gambling for earning money. There are different money earning jobs that I can do than just waiting on been lucky when I gamble to make money. Professional gambling is a career that those individuals who do it take a very big risk in life.

I'm not ready to be addicted to gambling or doing it always because I depend on it for earning. I want to be able to stop gambling at anytime I want without been afraid of not having money for the day or week. With full awareness and without coercion I personally cannot make  gambling a means or profession. This has been pure entertainment for me for as long as I have  known gambling.  Because the reasons are quite reasonable realizing that I don't have enough ability to hone my skills in skill based gambling I just play  luck gambling. If you occasionally play poker cards  it's not a hobby to be indulged in.  Moreover casino partners  I also have no followers on  social media so I just enjoy gambling and nothing more. You  also said that “gambling is just a game of trial  and  error with uncertain results” which is the main reason why I and several  people here have not considered  gambling as a profession choice in seeking regular  profits  until now.

This is not a recommendation but  a question for yourself and adapted to the  conditions that you are fully aware of.
