Good day everyone,,, I would like to share my winning with you guys, but I am not just doing it because I won the bet, but it is because it wasn't the amount I wanted to stake that I staked.

A friend of mine collected $10 from me earlier yesterday and I wanted to use the money to gamble, but based on, he is my friend. I gave him the $10 he asked for, and the guy said he would return the $10 back ASAP after 3 hours, but he didn't and the $10 was the amount and same money I wanted to use and stake a bet (I have some coins but don't have cash and I don't want to sell any penny of my coins for any reason). But letter on, I used 1000 naira ($1) to stake the bet and I won 49,814 naira (about $50+).

Now I am angry at my friend because he didn't keep to his words. Although I am still happy about the win, I wish he had given me back the $10. Then, I would have win bigger money.

The older you get, the more you should realize that there is no point regretting the past. It is something that you cannot change and dwelling on the "wrong" decisions will just drag you down. You can use prior experiences to improve your future experiences, so definitely do not block it out - as you have the potential to earn valuable lessons which are often much deeper ingrained if they are combined with a little bit of pain. Gambling is one place where it is completely foolish to keep such a grudge and bad feelings, if this person is a friend, because bets are often 50/50 at best in order for you to make a decent sum from it. If you wanted to place the bet, you should have done so, it is all your fault for not doing that.

You chose to play it safe and invest only what you had in the first place and that's the outcome. It wasn't a bad choice, so don't misunderstand me here. It was what it was, but you have regrets instead of enjoying your win. You made $50 and the guy still owes you another 10. Charge him interest for not keeping his word. Make him apologize by giving you back $12

If I'm not mistaken, the OP's current winning was what? $50+, if the friend had kept to his word, the winning would have been over $500 dollars, clearly you'd be feeling exactly the same way OP, and at that point you'd be busy blaming him and not even think about forgiveness or pardon his debt.

It is wrong for people not to keep to their words after borrowing as this act is capable of ruining the trust both parties had for each other, but then, OP cannot be angry with his friend for ever. Same way he would have been grateful to his friend for returning the money late if he loss his bet, he should be grateful also for the one he won. It is common to hear "if I had put in more money, I would have gained more money" from gamblers after winning. But gambling doesn't always work that way, it is one game that is unpredictable. So, there is no need apportioning blame.

I must also commend the OP for sticking to his budget and decision of not withdrawing from any other source to fund his bet. Many will easily withdraw or sell coins to fund the bet, hoping to replace when the Friend returns the Money he borrowed.  It shows he is a responsible gambler and not an addict.

Be contented with what you have won. If you have lost the little that you wager, you could have not been thinking about not staking with higher amount. Congratulations for your winning. It's not always easy to win a game, even if it's just few sport bets that you have chosen. It's still not easy to choose a game that will play in your favour. 
 
What I will just advise you is to not worry about what you could have won and think about what you will do with the little that you have won. That's gambling. We always have choices and you will have another chance next time, but don't use because you won todays game and try to wager with higher amount next time, as you never can tell what the result of that one will be. So be careful when making your betting, don't exist your bankroll.

Nice that you win. But if we lend our money, don't expect the borrower to pay it on time. In my experience that's rare because they always ask for extension. So what i'm trying to say is, don't blame the person who borrowed your money just because you originally planned to use it for gambling.

What if he paid and you stake the money, but you didn't win? You are lucky this time but if the result is not what you expected it to be, I bet you won't feel good that you stake the $10 (if ever he managed to pay on time).

I think you have every right to be angry to your friend but you should also be happy for yourself that you got the bet and won it.I am sure and I am a bit superstitious about sport bets that if you did bet 10 dollars who knows if the bet would have still come true,most probably it would but be happy that you won the bet and you have now more than 40 dollars to replay your bets with 10 dollars or more per bet and that is a great idea to try and win the desired amount,you have at least 4 new bets at your disposal to make that bigger amount of money you imagine would have gotten if your friend did brought you back the money.

No, it's right that he blames his friend. In the first place, his friend didn't return the money he borrowed at the said time, which is why the OP doesn't have enough money to bet. Still, it's good that the OP earns or wins a bet. But I agree that because his friend didn't comply with the time that he was supposed to return the money, it's justifiable to put an interest on it so that next time his friend will never do that again. But we still can't fully judge the friend, maybe because he has something to fix or something urgent, so he didn't return the money right away.

For the OP, it's okay; don't have any regrets that you only won that kind of amount. A win is a win no matter what amount it is; it's better than losing, right? So next time you bet, don't have an idea of your winnings or set an expectation because not all the time you will win, so gamble moderately.

We are the same, this scenario has also happened to me. I would have won a lot if my friend had also paid immediately, I am also angry with my friend but it seems to be natural between friends so there is nothing I can do because he also paid on that day just late as he said. He's still my friend now because I can't blame him because I already won and then I'll blame him just because he paid his debt late, I'm not that kind of friend.

Just focus on the amount that you have won, that alone is already a good profit. Do not think of the money that your friend has borrowed from you, he will surely give it back when he has funds already. And when you have it already, then try to gamble it as you might be lucky again and win another significant amount.

My point is once you let someone borrow from you, then trust that he will return it to you in time. And if ever he missed his promise, most likely he's in a bad situation that he finds it hard to pay you back so be more patient about it. OP you must be really angry at him now, we all know this chance comes ones in a while and we always hope to get the maximum profit we could have earn from such bet but in the end its never really so, there is always that thought of why did I not put all my money or more, which is why you are angry at your friend about aside the main fact that he never stick to his word, this is one of the reason i don`t like lending to people most time they fail to keep up to their words intentionally while some is understandable others just care about it and its annoying especially when you need the money for an emergency, they will just snub you for own cash. I'm sure that was not his first bet and if you ask OP for other games he has played in the past before that one he share to everyone, you will be shocked that he doesn't win much, he win little and that's why I don't celebrate people when show their tickets to the public about win games, I don't believe them because it's always misleading, people who don't gamble much get excited by this actions to gamble but misleading.

Let's say the OP lose that bet, he would have not say anything about it or share that ticket, he will not complain about the person that he lend the money and might not even tell anyone that he lost the ticket. It could have went either way, don't you think? If I were in your position, I'd be happy with what I gained rather than think of what I could potentially gain with the amount of money I could have at the time of my bet. Things could go wrong real fast with gambling, and there's no guarantee that I'll be winning with what I put in. Regardless, it's really an awful experience to not get the money you're expecting from a friend at the time that they promised it, then again I wouldn't have thought of using that money to be risked in gambling as I know it could have went either way.

Friends sometimes it's annoying if you borrow money but don't give it back immediately, especially if you want to use the money to bet. If only the money had been returned, you would definitely get a bigger win, but unfortunately you just bet with the money you have and it turns out to be your luck by chance.

I don’t think that the advice to wait until the debt is repaid and then use this money for gambling is good. As I understand it, the OP is not just playing for fun, but is very focused on the possible profit. Considering that the odds he bets on are quite high, it is difficult to hope that he will again receive such a win in the next few bets.
I would advise him to cool down, not try to change the past and only then make serious bets again.

Congratulations to your winning but it sounds like you are the mind who could risky and bet with your last fund in the gambling.
If you have lost the bet if staked with the said $10 which you borrowed your friend, you would had regretted that if you knew, you would had borrowed your friend this money that hopefully you would had bridged you from the amount lost or may would had minimized your lost for you whereas you would had beted with a lower amount of fund current with you.
I will advise you to appreciate your friend for any cost probably your kind gesture heart to had given him the money in the first place may have followed with his food wished to you which had got you won the bet.

Yes, we don't know the reason why his friend borrowed the money, but if the money was for gambling, he shouldn't have to lend the money to his friend anymore. Not sure if I fully understand the issue here, you gave your friend 10 USD for him to gamble with and he would return the money ASAP? But how can he return the money ASAP if he losses in gambling? He either has his own money to repay you, but why loaning out the money from you in the first place then, or he doesn't have any money at all and after losing his gamble he will be broke. It would be always a bit cautious if a friend wants money for gambling and still wants to repay me quickly. And then you wanted to use the same 10 USD for your own gambling? But why give it to your friend then, you should have gambled yourself first and only give your friend some money after you played. Also, relying on a bet with 50x multiplier doesn't seem so realistic to be winable in many cases. I would say you got lucky here and should be happy about your win. In the end you end with the 50 USD profits + the 10 USD from your friend. You can place many more bets with your bankroll now and keep growing your balance.
