If someone has made a loss in buying and selling Ethereum, what is your suggestion? Should he\she hold Ethereum?
Is it possible for the price to reach $2300 before Christmas?

Meanwhile, the price of Ethereum has touched up to $2382. The price of ethereum may go higher around Christmas. If someone has lost a lot of money investing in ethereum, I would say that he should stay invested for a long time. Ethereum market will make better position very soon, nothing to worry here.

I sold some of my Ethereum coins just before the last relatively sharp increase in the price of this coin and its current growth does not make me very happy. For now, I hope for a correction for the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays. I think there will still be price fluctuations before the Bitcoin halving. Before the expected big growth, whales almost always arranged for prices to fall. This is a very good technique to skimp on the eve of a big bull period. But for now, Ethereum may continue to rise for some time.

ethereum is good altcoin, so why worry about it? it's not random altcoin so must be it will increase in future no way to make lose in ethereum i think.
if now loses need to hold for the long term until recover the loses. it's current price is 2360$+

Especially if you believe in the long-term potential of cryptocurrencies. So my advice would be to hold on to Ethereum. After Bitcoin, Ethereum is the only coin that has shown much bullrun in the market. Many may have sold Ethereum in the current market uptrend and many are holding it, but I think Ethereum should be a thoughtful decision. Short-term price movements in the cryptocurrency market are difficult to predict, although it has already crossed $2300, but I am optimistic that it will cross $2400 before Christmas.

If you are in profit, sell 50% of it. Christmas to Chinese new year  is considered to be slow days for crypto trading. The market remains sideways or falls at this time.
As Ethereum has gained a good percentage and it could go through a correction. The price rise comes in waves and we might get chance to buy it back cheaper at later time.
Selling 50% and keeping the rest would save you from FOMO as well as loss. No one can guarantee the market movement, so its upto us to play safe.

As of this time it already exceeded your expectations. We’re just 17 days before Christmas and Ethereum is already up $2,300+, but I could be wrong if there’s a pullback that would happen anytime.

Before my Metamask ETH wallet got hacked, I bought Ethereum when it was still around $200 that time and it is one of my major altcoins. Could have been 11x for me! It was my mistake of not transferring it to my Ledger due to being very complacent. Thankfully my sister’s ETH is still here untouched, but she bought it at a price of $2,100 during the 2021 bull run.

I would gladly sell my profits and keep the capital if that’s the case when I am already happy with my gains. 

If the momentum keeps going further for the bulls, I can see ETH’s price between $2,400 to $2,500 by the end of 2023.

just hold on, ethereum coin is a good project and not a shitcoin, you don't need to worry about holding it for a long time, because all it takes is time and patience, that's why holding coins in the long term requires patience.

Yes holding bitcoin is a good decision and if you don't need money then hold until it gives you greater success, Christmas is near and hopefully price will rise but I think holding of Ethereum should be keep until halving because Bitcoin will hit the value of above 70k$ which will have positive influence on the Ethereum also.

Long term also requires patience but another thing is the amount of money which should not be used for another purpose because if a person has a lot of patience but taking out money from Ethereum become necessary for another aim then there is no role of patience here therefore choose Ethereum only when you can manage all the rules of crypto. There is no doubt about Ethereum surge but its up to you that how long you hold it.

maybe if you say what altcoin is good for preparing for the next bull run, ETH, in my opinion, is the king of altcoins. ETH is still far from its all time high. I think during the bull run, eth will also make new history and you said whether eth can touch 2300$ before Christmas? the price has passed your target and my eth will also hit 3000$ at Christmas but it's just my speculation, what do you think?

Ethereum in connection with other Altcoins can be rated far above  others, it is sometimes compared to Bitcoin while others sees it as a successor to Bitcoin.
If you have purchased Ethereum at a price at which you deemed it fit and it has fallen in price below your entry price, the question you need to ask your self is, what is my profit if I should sell now below the price I invested. You gain nothing, so it is best you hold on and observe, definitely there will be a pump in Ethereum as it's pump is closely associated with the growth of Bitcoin.

Assuming the price of Bitcoin before the festive season, can not be absolute correct but laying speculation is just hoping for the best to happen as everyone will love to see the better part of the market.

with current pace of growth reaching $3k is a piece of cake but reaching it at christmas is what I would doubt. after all there's not much time left but honestly it only requires on bullrun and then ethereum could easily reached $3k but speaking from past chart historical data I think the rise will be slowly but sure, but we still have news about the ethereum ETF as well, currently i think though the bullrun will be more focused on the bitcoin and any altcoin that are strongly related with bitcoin like ORDI, other than that we will be waiting for the altcoin season in the future.
moreover, the fact I also expecting ethereum demand to kept on increasing due to the presence of many new projects that requires staking Ethereum, it just simply a good bright future for ethereum.

Maybe this is a Christmas present for you for one year 2023 is currently the highest price, then try to check your portfolio, what % of profit have you made from hodl ethreum from the first time you bought? currently $2362 is more than $60 per piece of eth from your expectations, it could even potentially go to $2400, if you intend to find more value there is nothing wrong if you sell the profit you get. If you are sure to hold the rest of it towards next year ethreum will continue to increase of course you don't worry, especially if you can hold it and even increase it maybe after the Christmas period has passed. I'm just imagining when I'm in your position, of course it's confusing  there are needs and investments should not be a separate fund, but it's your right to enjoy the results at any time.

The current price of ETH is above 2300 USD, and I don't think it will stop here. From the middle of this year to now, the spotlight seems to belong to Bitcoin, and all eyes and capital are pouring into Bitcoin. Still, in the near future, I think it will be the stage for ETH to explode, especially with the upcoming Cancun update.

If you are a holder, I don't think you will incur losses by holding ETH. Are you referring to future trading, or are you still holding ETH purchased at a high price in the previous cycle? If you are holding ETH regardless of the purchase price, I advise you to hold onto it. The upcoming trend suggests that reaching the 3500 USD mark for ETH is achievable.

December 7 is the post of OP, that time the price of Ethereum is already trading near $2,300.

With what happened recently in Ethereum, I believe as long as Bitcoin will hold above $40,000 until this year ends, Ethereum will also hold $2,000 then I can say we can still go higher.

Today alone, ethereum has fallen quite sharply to $2,246; it is difficult to predict what will happen in the future. But I really agree with the colleague above that if you really want to buy ethereum, of course now is the time, and it doesn't look like there will be any surprises related to Christmas this year. Instead,  what you are waiting for is when the bull market will start to enter. because next year will enter the halving era, and usually there will be a correction first before finally starting an increase.Once again, as long as there is a good opportunity and sufficient funds, don't delay the time to buy before the opportunity is missed.

I can’t quote you a number, but it’s often seen that whenever Bitcoins go up in price, Ethereum and other major alts follow it. So there is high possibility that in the next bull run when the price of Bitcoins reach new ATH price, ETH will also go up and might break its ATH price. So I would suggest you to hold the coins and don’t sell now. Wait for the bull season to start.
