I never imagined that the Brazil team would perform so poorly, because they had so many opportunities but failed to capitalize on them. Tribaker was where they failed too, my question is why did Brazil team fail after so many opportunities. In the past, the Brazilian team was the most aggressive and strong, but why did they perform so poorly in this Copa America?

On the other hand, the Uruguay national team have a precedent and antecedent of high-performance in the Copa America Cup. They are not your regular national team for a while now. Before you play with them, you need to be ready to face them head-on and win. This is one aspect of the team I so much respect with them. I have envisaged the Uruguay team to reach the final as against the chances of Brazil. While the Uruguay player Nandez was served a red card towards the end of the match, that did not reduce their performance in winning the quarter finals.

It is a shame to see Brazil eliminated too quickly from the Copa America, we realize that Brazil is experiencing a gradual decline in performance, in the World Cup qualifiers Brazil also had great difficulty winning. Uruguay now has a golden generation in almost every line in the squad, and they deserve to advance to the semifinals. Dorival Junior doesn't seem to have had enough time to prepare his team since being appointed as manager, the absence of several big names such as Neymar is also another reason. In the match against Uruguay, Dorival Junior was also unable to field Vinicius due to an accumulation of cards. Uruguay managed to take advantage of the opportunity well, and in my opinion Uruguay and Argentia are the favorite teams to win this edition. Next, Uruguay will face Colombia, on paper Uruguay should be able to overcome this match easily.

I am actually surprised they didn't exit the tournament much earlier. They have been completely horrible for quite a number of tournaments now, despite have very great budding talents. Argentina has got to enjoy the spotlight given the decline shown by their major Arch rivals.

If there's any team that is going to try and stop Argentina, It is Colombia.

I fancied seeing Brazil exiting the Copa America and it happened earlier today. Imo, they should've tried to close out that game in regular time. No Vini Junior in Brazil team yesterday meant no party. Their exit from the tournament only confirmed what Ronaldinho have been ranting about lately. Brazil is no where near where they used to be abd that's just sad to see. I watched the entirety of the second half and only Uruguay looked very serious about progressing forward.


Now that Brazil is out, only two teams have my support moving forward.

Brazil has come too far, this team is very, very bad, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that it is the worst Brazilian team of all time, it has many mediocre players and others that are overrated, they are common players from small teams that don't have conditions to play in competitive teams. There's nothing that can be done, this generation of players is very bad, maybe in a few decades another good team will emerge, but this generation: no chance.

I strongly do not believe that the Brazilian national team is filled with players that should be termed mediocre teams or overrated players because of what these same set of players have been able to achieve over the year in their different clubs. Before the Copa America kicked off, Brazil were regarded as a team that's very beatable despite the number of world class players in the team not because these set of players can not deliver but because the current coach of the team isn't showing enough signs that he can actually win trophies with the team. The Brazil national team needs a manager that's tactically experienced enough to make them rely more on team football instead of their usual reliance on individual brilliance.
I'm not happy that Brazil have been eliminated from the Copa America at this very stage because I support them and wanted to see them win the Copa America tournament this summer. Now that they're put of the competition, I hope Brazil football federation gets another manager that'll help improve the performance of the Samba Boys

Was at first having issues with where in particular to drop this but then since it's coming from a personality from the South America I felt this should be the right place for this.

After carefully reading what Marcelo Bielsa said and contrasting it with the perspective today about how football games in tournament's, leagues  in the world has been viewed  and given priority akin to the team's and players over others, one will be persuaded to agree with Bielsa about the future of football among other sports.

Do you agree with his statement as a football fan or you have a different thought about this?

Haha you are not alone, I'm sure there are many gamblers experiencing the same thing because no one expected Uruguay to beat Brazil but this is the fact that happened. Now Copa America has 4 teams in the semifinals and I am favorite Argentina vs Colombia in the final, I can see Colombia playing impressively and aggressively throughout the tournament with a record of 3 wins 1 draw well, Colombia  have to watch out for as an underdog team.

Talking about Argentina, yeah of course there's nothing to argue about they are the main candidates to go to the final, against Canada in the semifinals I think is not something difficult I mean Argentina will beat Canada any way, in regular time or on penalties. I agree with the Sportsbook when predicting Messi and the team wins easily and Lautaro Martínez will be the top scorer.

Although Brazil's position in this Copa America was not promising from the beginning, it was predicted that it would be difficult for them to win against Uruguay. Although Brazil has a long history of football, there is a lot of legendary players, but it has started to decrease with time. After 2002, Brazil could not win the World Cup. It is now common knowledge that their football performance continuously is going to be poor. Brazil could not provide a permanent coach for the national team for a long time but after the arrival of Dorival Jr. the lack was filled but the performance was not good.

In today's Copa America, Brazil vs Uruguay match, Uruguay performed really well, Brazil also performed very well. Due to the strong performance of both teams, the goal score of both teams remained 0. There were many fouls in this match, out of 41 fouls, Brazil committed 15 fouls and Uruguay committed 26 fouls.

A lot of fouls in this game, and it'd rather call the game brazil vs uruguay as brawl game instead of a football game. This game is far worse than Venezuela vs Canada. I expected an entertaining game from these elite countries, but what I got was a brawl between Brazil and Uruguay.

It represented from 41 fouls happened in this game, and these nations must be feeling shameful with their gameplay. That ref should have handed out yellow cards from the start, but instead he let the brawl continue, and yeah what we have see was fouls every minutes.

In all, this game is not worth watching. Uruguay beat Brazil through a penalty. But, Uruguay is not playing like a professional team.

The inability of Brazil to score a single goal in 90 minutes is what I consider total disappointment because they have the team to win the match. They have been scoring goal well and how Uruguay was able to hold them to a draw is still surprising to me.

Brazil's exit from the tournament just makes it easier for Argentina to win because I do not see any teams that will be able to challenge them now not even Uruguay or Columbia. Argentina have a way of playing those teams to get the right result, it was only Brazil that would  have been a big threat to them. Losing to Uruguay, Brazil can only blame themselves. They were outplayed in the last 15 minutes when Nahitan Nandez received a red card directly from referee Darío Herrera. Brazil continues to show an unimaginative playing style, no longer as flamboyant as the samba tradition, but instead with a toughness to the point of brutality. Brazil's elimination marked an important moment in its football journey. This defeat shows that Brazil needs to adjust its tactics and mental strength as they now have to focus on qualifying for the 2026 World Cup. The road to the 2026 World Cup will be long and difficult.

You are right but we all also have to always remember that Uruguay is not weak team, they are one of the strongest and have been the top team that won many Copa America titles and have success ratio that is equal to Argentina.
Argentina, Uruguay and also Brazil are the three teams that have entered the most Copa America finals so far and it is not surprising that Brazil had difficulty facing Uruguay, what is quite shame is that Brazil had several very good opportunities but they all failed.

I agree with you that the elimination of Brazil will make it easier for Argentina to win the title because one of the strong competitors has fallen, the only team that can make Argentina feel difficult is Uruguay and they could meet in the final.

Currently the Copa has entered the semifinal round and 4 countries are ready to show their quality and abilities in order to qualify for the final round of the Copa, the Argentina vs Canada match will of course be a replay of the previous match in Group A, Argentina and Canada are the two teams who were previously in the same group so I think the final result in the semifinal match will not be much different from the previous result they got, so far Canada is a debutant team that was able to surprise us because they were able to beat Venezuela and qualify for the current semifinal round, however Seeing that Argentina is their current opponent, of course it is unlikely that Canada will be able to reach the final round.

In other more interesting matches, of course we will see two fairly evenly matched teams fighting for a place in the final later, Uruguay, who succeeded in destroying Brazil And of course has huge hopes and motivation to reach the final, but Colombia also has a perfect journey until the semifinals, of course they won't be an easy opponent for uruguay.

the fact is that things have changed with regards to how football had been in the past with respect to how it currently his now, the technology that has been brought into the game of football is to make it more accurate and to assist most referees and linesmen make better decision which will go on to create a free and fair decision and Although we've seen some lapses in the use of these technology most expecially the extent to which it has become too strict with off sides that has led to the cancelation of goals that should have stood in the normal case, it's just normal to see an opinion of this sort most expecially from someone that has been part of an era when decision where left in the hands of referees and linesmen.

Football is still fun and I've had to watch some of the matches that where played in the late 90s and truth be told, they were damn boring. Football has become more competitive from a lot perspective and without the use of these technology, it would almost seems impossible to handle what's going on in the world football at the moment combined with the reality that a lot of business and interest have been built around it and it's easy to manipulate officiating teams to ones side.

If talking about Canada i have to says they are impressive because this is their debut to playing at Copa America and i thought their journey will be ended at group stages because at that time they were joining into hard group with Argentina, Chile and the semifinalist of Copa America 2021 Peru but surprisingly Canada can qualified even on quarterfinal they can eliminate Venezuela from penalty shootout so i think as debut team they are very impressive and about the match against Argentina later both teams has been met on group stages at that time Argentina can able to overcomes Canada with final scores 2-0 and for this match too i think it's not necessary to analysis again because from if we see from whole condition certainly Argentina is much better than Canada so i didn't surprised if the odds for Argentina is quite low however i think besides Argentina the team who possibly will playing at the final match is Uruguay and my prediction is for the current final match of Copa America probably Argentina vs Uruguay

Brazil's performance in FIFA World Cup Qualifying is very poor. Out of 6 matches, Brazil won only 2 matches and lost 3 matches. Brazil is now in sixth place in the table. The first 6 teams will qualify for the World Cup. Brazil is now in sixth place. The team is performing very badly.

There are plenty of talented players in Brazil's squad. Every player in the squad is a regular performer in all the renowned teams in Europe. Yet these players are completely failing to perform well in the national team. We saw the failure of the Brazil coach in the match against Uruguay. The influence of the coach on the players is very little. The coach completely fails to control the players in the squad. This is one of the reasons for Brazil's poor performance. Brazil should now look for an experienced coach.
