After the fuel subsidy removal.many people started converting their various generator to be gas powered. When the country saw their successes and bravity, they started a slow and steady increment in the price of the gas leaving so many with regret meanwhile deterring others from following the trend.
One advantage of the gas is its inability to produce fumes and extends the lifespan and performance of the engine. But as a saying goes that every thing that has an  advantage must surely have a disadvantage. The disadvantage is that the qauntity and level of the gas can not be gauged or checked. Once the cylinder is epmty, the engine shuts down without letting you know. This has been the principal motive why vehicles are not using it since they can't see the level as not to finish while driving especially on a risky road.

If you are not that rich, get a small solar panel and battery to power just 3 energy saving bulbs, your laptop, tv and home theater. That is enough to use with blender and small devices.

If you are an average, get a solar that can power your fridge (not deep freezer) and other mentioned devices.

Some gas cylinder are transparent, you can buy it. If you go for brass cylinder or the common one, when the generator is no on, you can carry it to know if it is still heavy or not. When a gas is about to finish, you will know it when you carry it. You can also have two cylinders. If one has been used up, you will have the other filled up already.

Op you have a point the country is really confused and we the citizens also have hand in this the price of fuel Is very high some started changing there caprator  from fuel to gas now the price 1kg gas has gone very high it's very bad Nigeria always wants to take advantage of everything just to make money and it's not even fair I pray the government repairs the country's refinery do we can have fuel in the country

Talking all about this here and now, won't even stop the price as Nigerians is always full of this attitude, they keep giving excuses to why there has been an increment in the price of goods and service. While our hands are tied on this it is our concern to adapt by any means, within the both you have mentioned the one with higher advantage over the other becomes the one best and suitable for use.
I would still prefer using the gas cylinder as it is more economical than using the fuel generator, even with the disadvantage you mentioned it is still not enough reason to rule out using the gas cylinder

I think people didn't continue with gas again is because of how gas is very expensive in price.  I don't really blame people,  some people are just trying to cut the price of things in the market.  The government needs to be blame for all this, they are tge most confused set of people we have in the country. They just care what they can gain , the government never consider for the citizens,  they go after things which they will only gain from.

Should we blame the government again? It's really bad cause everything happening in the country the government will take the insult, I know the government should tidy up the mess they created cause the removal of fuel subsidy is really causing problem in Nigeria, I don't know if the government have a solution to this matter yet but they can't just keep the country like this, the government will have a solution concerning this matter maybe building an oil refinery. Actually president Tinubu stated that fuel subsidy was removed to increase the allocation of every state so workers salary can as well increase, I don't know what's wrong with the state governor and salaries of workers still not increased.

I never supported the gas generation of a thing anytime I see the gas connected to the generation it looks risky, although it's something new and at that time gas got really cheap and a lot of people could afford the gas.
Now wey the price of gas don increase everybody dey wonder abi una don forget marketers strategy, when the demand is high the price will also increase for more profit and gain.

Omor no be small thing oo, gass now for my area na 1000 for filling station and gas plants while for normal street where Dem dey fill gas na 1100 per kg, some wey been dey for 700 before we start to convert generator Dem. This na one of the reason why this country leaders wey dey influence price are all wicked, no be say the gas follow for fuel subsidy seff oo, na just petroleum naim Dem just increase the price of gas like say e wan finish for market. no one is confused , what happening is that people are actually sourcing for alternative ways of remaining in their business by cutting down on expenses that comes their way as a result of the increase in the price of fuel. It's just unfortunate that they have to still consider the use of gas in the midst of the risk associated with it.

E de always pain me say whenever we want talk negative things about our country, we see always get wetin to talk because matters full ground but a situation when you done remove fuel subsidy but no put a reasonable modalities in place in ensuring the things becomes easier for the average man, what do you expect? I even thought that since they know that the price of fuel has seriously gone up that they will even think on making nepa to be coming regular but it even seems that they have even reduced the number of hours that they bring light. This was not about following the trend at that time but it was about the risk that is involved in using cooking gas as energy source to power the generator. I love the initiative because it helped reduce the cost of consumption of the generator which will in turn reduce the cost of living of every Nigerian that used that method then. Now the cost of gas has increased above the cost of petrol which the generators was designed to work on initially, this people will have to convert their generators back to the fuel powered one. They must have enjoyed that period but to me, safety of life should be priority over cost of living.

Are you talking about the gas that was been used by those that converted their generators into a gas powered one or CNG that can be used for cars as substitutes to fuel? I have not seen in any place that cooking gas can be used to power cars and that it doesn’t show the level of the quantity of gas in it. Maybe you mean a different gas and not the one that was used to power generator when the price of the fuel increased in the past.

Even though we no fit compare solar power with Hydro-Power in time of durability and energy supply but still for now solar power is more favourable in time of get access to light, many companies are suppling our people, like MySol and Sun king which I have tested their products and it was very good.
