Hello
Anybody have any reviews on this site? Saw some bad and good reviews in my google searches. It’s supposed to be backed by Schwab and fidelity.

They have this short  term trade positions where you say wether it’s going to go up or down. For 40secs it usually gives 20% profit and more as the time gets longer.
Are there many sites that do this?  Crypto does something crudely like it but for only small sums of $’s

https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/

Well it’s not listed here in the above site

LOL! I've just responded to your other thread about your experience having withdrawal issues with an unknown exchange. You were rightly advised by other users to stick to "bigger well-known exchanges." And here you are asking for reviews on another unknown exchange. I wonder how hard it is to just choose those exchanges that have long and solid track records.

Are you referring to margin trading? If you don't know how it works, you better avoid it. It's extremely risky.

"Usually" gives 20% profit in a matter of seconds? It's either you didn't get it right or you're dealing with a scam. You seem to be easily attracted to this get-rich-quick promise. You're prone to be a victim of scams. Those who promise you this are scammers.

Coinmarketcap isn't that strict in listing exchanges. If this exchange didn't even make it to that site, it's probably too small to trust.

This is the exchange I first went to before the other multi-banks one.
Yes it is like margin trading but technically called a contract option. But very similiar.
There are quite a few hits  on google.  Done sone withdrawals but not enough to feel comfortable with the site

I wonder how you stumbled upon pretty much unknown exchanges. And I wonder more why you particularly want to try them and risk your money in the process.

Yeah, options, one of those derivatives. I don't trade these, but this product isn't unique to the platform you mentioned. Why don't you trade these crypto options on more trusted platforms? Options trading are also offered in Binance, OKX, Bybit, and other more popular and trusted platforms? I'm not saying it's worry-free there, but it's definitely safer there compared to an unknown and young platform.

None reputable exchange allows you to make withdrawal with the intention of allowing you to build trust with them but whenever you deposit huge amount or even traded there and make huge profits at time of withdrawal you would be frustrated for either kyc documents.

So as the Darker45 commented you should stick to exchange that are well exposed to people especially those that are more familiar with your country it reduces kyc hassle, like my country we are more familiar with Binance and kyc is just some seconds to pass with only ID number facial recognition that is all and you can withdraw any amount.

It is difficult for a bitcoin exchange supported by Schwab Fidelity and there is no news about it in international newspapers, or at least on news sites related to Bitcoin. Fidelity's have Spot Bitcoin ETF, so it is difficult to get involved in supporting a new exchange, and if they did, they would choose Coinbase and not an unknown exchange.

If edxmarkets.com is promoting this, it is a scam.

The below article mentions this anchorage as a custodial wallet. And Coindesk is not part of EDX.  Not sure how much this really means as far as trusting it.
https://www.coindesk.com/business/2023/08/22/crypto-exchange-edx-market-taps-anchorage-as-custody-provider/

"Options trading are also offered in Binance, OKX, Bybit," Quote From Darker45.
Thats interesting and good to know, cause Ive done Ok with it. Buy when the red bar is way down and starting to go green, then jump off as soon as it turns red. If doing a position. Although with the 40 sec timer you only get 40 secs.

Well it’s not listed here in the above site
You are right Bitcointalk is very foreign here, 0% of the community here is directly related to the edxmarkets.com service.

If I may suggest you about edx markets.com Website, follow the instructions below.
Quote
In our opinion, edxmarkets.com - Low-trust Investment/Earning website. We advise avoid that website. The site may, under the pretext of making money, try to steal your funds.
Edxmarkets.com: Flagged as Suspicious – Analysis, Reviews, and Complaints

Maybe the statement above can make you safe to invest in your crypto currency, several other reviews that I saw said the same thing (Negative) so you now have an assessment, whether the website is good or bad.

Where do you find those kinds of exchanges? I think it's pretty easy to get scammed if you trust those unknown exchanges that might eat your money. It's definitely a sign for you to just use those on the link listed and use the top exchanges there. Be careful with the exchanges you are using.

Hello.
Thanks to everyone for the feedback. I am concerned.

I had some funds there before going to the Multi-banks site.

I was reffered there by a FB friend.  Who i dont think has any connections to these platforms. But yes could be. I hope Not
These are some of the information I got from scamdoc about edxmarkets(dot)com.

"This site appears to display risky commercial activities or activities sometimes subject to controversy (Dropshipping, Financial investments...)"

"The design or template of the site is highly similar to that of other sites. This could indicate an attempt at deception or plagiarism."

Don't trust a platform with your funds because a friend referred you, take your time to do your own findings.  Sometimes scammers pretend to be a friend and act all nice, only to scam you. As you can see from the responses you got from the previous topic and this one, stay away from these platforms for they are all fake.

I never heard about this "edxmarkets" but that right there (the way you heard about this exchange) is a major red flag as its a known scammer tactic in whihc they contact you voa social media platforms or dating sites, pretend to be interested just to switch conversation towards completely unknown exchange.

Another major red flag is that exchange is not on CMC/Coingecko. Being listed there is not sign of legitimacy, but not being there at all is very suspicious.

There are quite a few hits on google even if you ignore those coming from edxmarkets. Some bad as shown above, others better. It’s technically listed as a digital trading marketplace and not a Crypto platform.  Looks more like a Forex site.

Is this a new thing where Forex platforms Also trade crypto?
Am I posting on the wrong forum?

I don't think you could find any personal reviews here seeing how the platform does not take retail customers and internet message boards like bitcointalk being filled with average people AKA retail customers

Institutions seeking to join the growing list of EDX members should follow the steps below. EDX’s Membership team will coordinate an introductory meeting which will lay the groundwork for the Membership and technical onboarding process.

... EDX does not onboard or accept any deposits from retail customers.

There's also the fact that they just started:

The exchange began processing trades in June 2023.

He says a "friend from Facebook" referred the site to him. Personally, I wonder why he keeps trusting those random social media friends even when members here are telling him to opt for more established, trustworthy platforms.

The domain name alone is just slightly a year-old, meaning that the website is mostly likely to have been active for less than a year.

By join, did you mean you have passed their rigorous onboarding process? -- you know, all that evaluation and whatnot.

Could you also triple check you're not on some phishing website? specially if you've got the link from someone online, scam PMs are pretty rampant.

This is not an exchange which is why is not listed on Coinmarketcap and Coingecko.

Another thing I noticed the website is using WordPress hosted on AWS(possible 1 yr trial) it also uses Apple Business Manager and Cloudflare which is free.
It also uses Google Analytics without consent or even added it its terms.

There are lots of flags on this site so for me I can't trust this site be careful your FB friend may be a scammer trying to scam you in a cheaper way.

Wonder  why I coukd join. I am retail.
Oh well I am still Leary but will see.

As you found out there are quite a few links about it

By join, did you mean you have passed their rigorous onboarding process? -- you know, all that evaluation and whatnot.

Could you also triple check you're not on some phishing website? specially if you've got the link from someone online, scam PMs are pretty rampant.

I did send 1500 to my bank. And at one point sent all $ to another account. Well will see how it goes. Not putting anymore in till take it out again

Hello
Anybody have any reviews on this site? Saw some bad and good reviews in my google searches. It’s supposed to be backed by Schwab and fidelity.

Quote
EDX Markets is a new digital asset marketplace designed to meet the needs of both crypto native firms and the world’s largest financial institutions.

Just so you know what you are dealing with, I added a quote from the exchange for better understanding of what you are getting into, that's not the kind of exchange you need as beginner.

Do you know the advantage of using a popular and reputed platform, it's help you reach out to people when you have problem. Exchange like Binance might not be the best to some people but they have been here for a while and if I'm to choose a centralized exchange, I will picked them over others because they say that the devil you know is better than the angel you don't know.

Quote
They have this short  term trade positions where you say wether it’s going to go up or down. For 40secs it usually gives 20% profit and more as the time gets longer.
Are there many sites that do this?  Crypto does something crudely like it but for only small sums of $’s

https://coinmarketcap.com/rankings/exchanges/

Well it’s not listed here in the above site

Let me tell you something, any platform that gives you a high return either it's an exchange or investment, please avoid them, you will regret using them because 99.999% are usually scam platform. What I think you need is on other popular exchange.

You can also make use of more trusted exchange on coingecko for more good rating if coin market is not enough.

Quite a big amount if you're just testing the platform I'd say. It may be backed with big fellas but being one of the early adopter has its risk as always. In any case, good luck!

Also, strange. If they're claiming they don't accept retail customers, they most likely don't have the legal rights for it. I'm not saying it can't happen but with how rigorous their onboarding process is [from what i see on the website], it'll be a lot harder to slip through retail customers "by mistake".
