I don't understand why it's a must for you to use web/online wallet in the first place?

I guess you're looking a non custodial wallet e.g. electrum, bluewallet, samourai, etc. I suggest to use electrum because it support desktop and many operating system, while the other mostly only support mac.

Why does it need to be a web wallet? If you just want convenience, then just go for a software wallet like BlueWallet. Web wallets are unnecessary; it was just the trend back then because software wallets weren't that good compared to today.

Why?

Web wallets are the most vulnerable wallets that you can see today. Do not use any of them.

For small amount of coins, you can use Electrum, Sparrow or Bluewallet.

For large amount, you can use a hardware wallet like Passport if you do not have a device to setup a wallet on an airgapped device. Or you can go for a multisig wallet.

Web wallets are high risk wallets, they can be easily exposed to hacks etc.
It was before that people prefer web wallets but now it not longer good enough for storage.

Here you can download any of this wallets, it more safe than web wallets.

Download Electrum

Blue wallet for Android

Blue wallet for IOS (iphones)

Download sparrow wallet

Try this one's it better

I don't know/use any web wallets, and above mentioned reasons are pretty valid why you shouldn't use them.

If you are so keen on using web wallets then I think extension based wallets are pretty close to web wallets, and unisat [1] is one I have used. You can use it to store Bitcoin and ordinals, it's open source too.

Can you recommend a web wallet other than blockchain.info for bitcoin primarily and with no kyc (no id). Thanks in advance

Web wallets are not popular these days because they are not secure and we have better options, so I think you need to learn more to get a better option to store your bitcoins. If you can't get your hands on a hardware wallet yet, you can also consider some of the suggestions people mentioned above. Among them, I am also using bluewallet for my iOS devices and electrum for my desktop. Those are the two wallets that in my opinion are the best and easiest to use for those new to this market. Both are open source wallets, no KYC required as you requested.

I generally don't recommend using web wallets, except in some specific and very rare cases. But, I'm curious about the issues you're experiencing with the blockchain.com wallet. Why isn't it working for you? It might help us point you in the right direction if we know what problems you're currently running into.

Web wallet is very risky and close source. I don't recommend web wallet to use.

I used to have Blockchain.info, but it's considered less safe than other options. Honestly, though, my primary reason for switching to a different wallet wasn't that: it was an occasional bug with 2FA, locking me out of my wallet for some time because of confirmations not arriving. Like many others here, I don't understand why you're looking for a web wallet, and I support the recommendation of Electrum that a few other people made here. There's no ID required, no KYC, no other private information. It's free, it's non-custodial (so you're the only one who has access to your money), and while it is a bit less used-friendly than Blockchain, in my opinion, it's not hard to switch to it and get used to its design. Just make sure you keep your pass phrase and password safe because if you lose the phrase and the password, nobody will be able to help you get your money.

As mentioned above, web wallets are probably something you should stay away from but if you want something in your browser, then any extension should do. There are plenty of them: Trustwallet, SafePal, etc. all have browser extensions and support BTC.

I don't think that using a web wallet is a good thing, because the wallet could be exposed to security problems that could potentially harm you

Compared to using a web wallet, it is much more secure using a custodial wallet that you can install on your PC or smartphone

There are several apps that you can use, such as BlueWallet, Trustwallet, or Safepal, these are custodial wallets that are usually used by members on this forum and you can try to install them and see if they suit your needs

I think you're a bit confused here, the wallets you're recommending to the OP are non-custodial wallets, not custodial wallets. And there is a difference between the 3 wallets you mentioned: only the bluewallet wallet is an open source wallet, while the other 2 wallets are non-custodial wallets but are closed source wallets and are not recommended for use. You should stay away from custodial wallets and closed source wallets.

But the OP also makes me curious because web wallets aren't talked about much these days and aren't used anymore, why does he keep looking for them when we have better options?

Why were blockchain.com, and bitpay booted out of bitcoin.org? What web wallets do you recommend other than those on that list there?

OP is still looking, even after 5 years the same question bothers him Roll Eyes

For those who wonder why and give him suggestions to use a non-custodial desktop wallet, I can say that he is already familiar with Electrum, which he used, but some things were obviously not clear to him then, and it seems not even today. I just hope that in his search (if it's true at all) he won't find that online wallet that has "free" in its name, and because of which many were left without their coins.

Much like keeping funds on your phone using a web how wallet has a large risk of loosing all your funds.
On that same note, keeping a small amount of crypto there for convenience may be an acceptable risk for some people.

The only one I know guarda.com but I don't know anything about it other then it exists.

I remember promoting bitamp in the past, and occasionally using it some time later to receive emergency payments without any problems.
This is not a recommendation, especially since I haven't used it for a long time. DWYOR

Blockchain.info? I lost some BTC to that online wallet, its a wallet where the maker or builders are in control of your key, meaning they have access to your fund too.

This is just like other scammy online wallet, never ever store your BTC using online wallet, it's not safe, get a noncustodial wallet like Electrum wallet and blue wallet.

With the way wallets are easily getting compromised this days its best to invest on a hardware wallet but if you can't, then go for electrum wallet or trust wallet if multi wallet is what you are looking for, write down your recovery seed, that's your key, and it should be private, don't share with anyone and keep where no one will see.

Why a web wallet? Because you don't need to download any app for you to use them? If that's one reason, they also have their own mobile apps that their users can download. As you've mentioned blockchain.com's wallet, listen to us, any web wallet is not recommended because you don't own the private keys there.

For your reference, Choose your Bitcoin wallet from this list made by bitcoin.org.

Can you recommend a web wallet other than blockchain.info for bitcoin primarily and with no kyc (no id). Thanks in advance

Why the heck you want a web wallet? You aren’t aware of the scams happening due to web wallets or if you store your funds in exchanges? I won’t recommend to store these valuable coins in any web wallets available. They don’t give you complete access to the coins that you store there. Use Electrum wallet, which is the best for storing small amount of coins. If you are holding coins worth millions, then trezor wallet is the best.

I support the recommendation of Electrum that a few other people made here. There's no ID required, no KYC, no other private information. It's free, it's non-custodial (so you're the only one who has access to your money), and while it is a bit less used-friendly than Blockchain, in my opinion, it's not hard to switch to it and get used to its design.
Electrum is a good wallet as it is free, open source, non custodial, tested by many developers.

It has many plus points like allowing users to create from single signature wallet to multi signature wallet, cold storage wallet and more. It is a SPV wallet so it is light too use and match with many people as no heavy storage requirement with Electrum wallet.

Just make sure you keep your pass phrase and password safe because if you lose the phrase and the password, nobody will be able to help you get your money.
With Electrum wallet, the wallet file will be encrypted with a wallet password. I agree with you that a wallet password must be strong.

Electrum wallet also allows users to use extended words when creating a wallet. Extended words must be backed up too.
