Of course the type of games I play or bet on sports in the casino shows the level of intelligence of a person or how smart a person is because betting on sports or anything else definitely requires intelligence and enough skill if there is no good strategy skills and intelligence then one can never achieve success from gambling. When I participate in gambling I always analyze the sports I analyze the field I analyze each player due to which I can achieve a lot of success by betting on sports. That is why I say if a person is not fully intelligent and smart then he cannot achieve success by betting on sports. So betting in the casino shows the level of intelligence of a person or how smart a person is.

Some card games do require skill, and I'm familiar with the ones you mentioned. In my community, we call this game poker, where the first player to run out of cards wins, but the game doesn't end there; it continues until the last player is left holding cards.

It doesn't, because if it does, then those that could have been wining are the most intellectual and experienced gamblers, but reverse is the case, in gambling, everyone is equal, even a newbie can try his luck and win big, that is gambling for you, depending on the game and how the luck works by his side, being intelligence in playing games is different from the normal classified intellect we have from school, there's need to also developed that of the gambling nature, which we often get from how we are able to understand playing a particular game in gambling.

I think this is a very questionable indicator, at least because a person can choose several types of gambling, such as slots, poker, or sports betting. How can you evaluate their intelligence in that case? It's not that simple, because everyone comes to gambling or betting with their own goal. And if a person's goal is to simply relieve stress, and he sat down to spin the slots, this does not mean that he is stupid or dumb, it means that most likely he earned money at his main job or on investments. Actually most PVP card games require skills because the winning chance depends on your move on handling your card until you win. Of course it still require luck to win since it’s gambling but it’s very hard to win on card game if you don’t know how to properly play it,

Yes, it seems so. Anyone can try their luck at winning in gambling. The most important thing is to control one's mental and emotional state when gambling. If everything relies on intelligence, then only certain people will be able to win, and that certainly won't provide comfort for anyone.

Any form of game that requires you to calculate your moves and the next step to take are games which requires the players intelligence, and how calculative the person is can determine how much they might be able to win in such game, that’s why they say those who are mathematical enlightened have a higher chance of winning in gambling that those who don’t know their left and right in gambling, those intellectual can also be regarded as skill.

As for games which don’t require you to do any calculation and your winning is dependent upon luck such games does not prove how intelligent someone is and their is no special skills needed for them to be played since the outcome of the game are always gotten from random generated results.

Both of you are absolutely right, very correct actually, for some intelligent people, luck based games appear to be very boring for them because they are not making use of their intellectuals to play the game, and what this means is that, the only game that interests this type of people are games that require them putting their minds and brains to work..

For example, I myself consider myself a very intelligent person and this is why I always like to go for skill based games where I challenge myself, I challenge my ability to think things through and end up victorious, sometimes, I play skill based games against friends but in reality, I am playing against myself as it teaches me to think critically around issues and come up with lasting solution, this is usually the reason I get bored after I've played slot for a while, like an hour or a bit more because the game doesn't involve any putting the brain to work.

For me, I'd consider the type of game depending on the risk taken possible with the game, if you have full control or at least a power to decide base on the current match or the status of the game such as the card game, with the help of statistics and probability, with the sports betting base on the skills difference and advantage of each team compared with the slot that there's no assurance you will hit a large amount of money in every roll you made. I was the same way back when I was a kid — I think I was around 10 years old when I used to play cards with my friends, betting coins whenever I won a game.

I still remember the card games we used were Marvel hero characters, but the way we played was by gambling coins depending on whether we won or lost our bets.
Though at that time, I didn’t really know if I could be considered a smart gambler or not.

It doesn't really reflect much usually, because it should be done as a fun side pursuit and anyone intelligent will know that you're unlikely to beat the bookmaker long term, but definitely won't beat the casino. Out of all the ones you posted, poker players probably have the greatest chance of profitability through intelligence and a lot of practice, because you are not playing versus the casino who get paid in rake instead. There is a very slim chance you could pick the correct value from sports betting and the bookmaker will tolerate it for some time, but if you become an unprofitable player to them - you'll get the boot and have to find another, eventually running out of bookmakers to bet against.

Controlling mental and emotional responses when gambling is not easy. Someone can become attracted to gambling anytime especially if they lack control. If they think about winning in gambling, they should remove that thought and just enjoy the gambling. Winning will come to them when the time is right so they don't have to insist on playing gambling but just spend some money.

Our minds can change anytime following the situation so it is better we take care of our minds. We can not follow what others do because we have different funds. If we can enjoy and feel comfort playing gambling, we must remember when to stop gambling. Otherwise, we just waste our money without realizing that we need to stop gambling.

Well, since every game in the casino is actually a game based on probabilities there is no way to show your intelligence other than playing by the rules of the game. I guess if someone plays poker, for example, and does not know the rules, then he will obviously lose more often and probably quite quickly. So that alone could be a sign of his intelligence. But otherwise, I doubt there is a way to measure intelligence with gambling habits.

Personally, I like to switch it up when I eventually get bored of a game. That is really the only motivation for me to play a different game. Some things I am not interested in betting on, like sociopolitical events, because there is not much you can do there. I prefer direct participation like with slots or cards.

Nah, not really. What someone bets on might say a little about their personality or what they're into, but it's a terrible way to measure how smart they are.

A genius physicist might love playing the stupidest slot machine just to turn their brain off. And a really smart poker player who crunches all the numbers could be a complete idiot with their personal finances outside the casino.

Some games, like poker or sports betting , have a skill element where being analytical helps. But you can have that specific skill and still not be "smart" in other areas. And games like roulette or keno are pure chance. Playing them doesn't make you dumb, it just means you're there for the thrill or to zone out.

So it's more about why they play, not what they play. Judging someone's intelligence by their game choice says more about the person doing the judging.

I think most of us actually played those card games when we were young which was really a good smart game, although we didn't play with money (as a means to gamble) it was just for game purposes and having fun too but it really made some people smart in the aspect of quickly identifying the errors that other can make and who will win and how to also win.
