USA does not have a parliament from what I know but rather the equivalent version of a parliament in the US government is their congress split into two: the house of representatives and the senate
the president have the most power but this part of the government is where laws are first discussed and amended before it reaches the president so it’s important that the right people are the ones in position in order to support the president
Funny you talk about getting the right people into the house of representatives and the senate of the United States, because earlier this year we saw how the people of New York ended up electing George Santos to represent them in the House of representatives.
I am not an expert in National politics, but Santos was the least prepared person to hold office in the government of USA. If you have not taken a look at his story and the all alledged crimes he has committed in USA and Brazil, then you will be astonished on how much and person is willing to lie to go through his path to congress.
Even after Santos Being kicked out the congress, there are still pretty much several people who, in my opinion, is not supposed to hold office.
How knows, perhaps in this 2024 we will see a better representation of the American people in Washington DC.
