No kidding. They are being rude and disrespectful. You dont owe them any explanation about your financial situation. So, next time someone questions your earnings, you could say its personal or that youd rather not discuss it and  there are polite ways to handle nosy questions.

If you want to acquire merit as a newbie you should first get familiar with how the forum works. Is that how much merit you get or how much money you have earned on this forum? lol  regarding the title of your topic, actually in all threads you have the potential to get it, it's just that the quality of your posts is often the benchmark, so try exploring the WO thread, maybe you can get some merit there because there are quite a lot of merit circulating in there, but remember you should never offend the senior members there.

Being patient without trying will never give you any results. Start taking action by increasing your knowledge from useful threads pinned on several boards. There are lots of insights you can gain after reading threads that can help you achieve your goal of joining the forum.
To get through the initial stages according to what you want, you have to go through each process perfectly. There are steps that you must learn to achieve a level of success, but if your goal is only to get merit, you will feel disappointed when you cannot get it.

You're right and this is why I'm never in the mood to applaud any newbie account I see gathering merit because I summarily conclude  that it's an alt of a highly ranked account. Not as if it's any offence to the best of my perspicacity but applauding them is already a waste of such encouragement.

Going forward, I advise genuine newbies to just be themselves and post without earning merit in mind and merit will trickle in from time to time. If you look around, you will discover that there are some merit give away threads but there's no knowledge give away threads. In terms of earnings, there are three things you can earn;

And to add here, I noticed when you created a thread in the scam accusations board with very valid proofs,
such as a new project having signs of potentially scamming their investors like fake profiles, fake address,
and other solid proofs that they are heading to screw people. The creator thread usually earns merit for exposing such fraud.
And in terms of earning merit, if you will chase earning one, you may get disappointed.
Just continue doing your work, be sincere about it, but don't expect someone will give you merit. It will come unexpectedly.
Remember, most merit sources are not active in giving merits.

Merit is subjective you can get a merit for providing information, affirming a given answer, or just providing a discussion, there is no one rule and there are no rules for merits, it's a form of appreciation or validation, you just do what others here are doing by participating in a discussion and just make the information you provided valid and up to date.
Make your post unique and based on your knowledge that it's right and up to date do not provide information that you will just copy outside of this forum and make it your own opinion, many newbies fall to this mistake, in trying to impress others they violated the rule of plagiarism

Right now with your current rank, you will not earn anything aside from some useless tokens coming from bounty campaigns (altcoins). Money-wise it will be hard for you to earn still, and just tell the truth to them. Why choose to be silent?

I empathize with you on what you're saying, most of us went through that stage of expecting our posts to be given merit when we feel that we've really put efforts to make quality posts, but the system doesn't really work that way, you'd have have to be consistent with quality posts and eventually the merit will start to come. However seeing that you're still new in the forum, merit should not be your main focus for now, you should rather concentrate on increasing your cryptocurrency knowledge, with time members will be rewarding your quality posts with merit. It's true that the merit system can not be said that it's fair, because despite the quality of your posts, if no member merits you, there's nothing you can do about it, if you quit it won't affect their campaign earnings. the amount of Ponzi scheme in the society has brain washed people to the extent that they believe that if you're not getting paid easily for carrying out a task, it's most likely that you're wasting your Time.

The forum is a practical definition of if you don't work, you will not eat. nothing comes to you when you've not done anything. You get merited when you have proven to have posted something that is deserving of a merit. And this does not require that you post a thousand stuff.  Their is an account I saw with very minimal number of post but he was able to create one that gave him almost 20+ merit. The goal is just to keep contributing positively, their are people that would be lucky to get it a bit easy while for others, it might take time but just keep going and in no time, you will attain your desired height.

As a newbie here, what makes you think you deserve some rewards? If I may ask you, what resources have you contributed to the forum? You donate bitcoin?? That's not even necessary since it's not longer acceptable for now but in what other ways do you think you deserve appreciation? How many spam posts have you reported to help keep the forum clean? How helpful are your posts? These are some of the things that earn you merits in the forum.

First of all, I praise the Creator because he has given me the ability to walk well today. I have been able to light up my life a lot with what I have earned here. I used to live very hard life but came to bitcoin forum after being introduced to this bitcoin forum by a friend of mine. After that I was able to qualify and earn through considerable effort here.

OP if you try you will also be able to earn here but you will have to put in a lot of hard work and a lot of time. If you can build enough rank by spending enough time here and earning merit by posting good quality then you will be able to earn here.

Btw, If the topic was really about merit nobody would laugh about it but if you tell people the forum is some sort of cashcow that will provide you with free money then I don't think am among those users that say that's the setup of the forum...any incentives that come from BCT are all secondary otherwise the primary goal should be to discuss and share knowledge about cryptocurrencies!!!

Most of the new members have the same question in their minds that how they will earn merit in their new position.
