Having issues with BPIP

Undoubtedly BPIP has been of great use to me ever since I joined this forum.unfortunately I have been  having some issues accessing it lately.I have tried multiple times but it keeps displaying;

Over and over again even after I clicked on enter it would pause loading at a particular point. Please is this an error my end ? If yes any suggestions on my fixing it would be appreciated
I have tried using a different carrier but still same issues.

Recently some M**f*s have carried out DDOS attacks on BPIP. And that is why we are seeing this error, Although I didn't have any problem yesterday but today, now I am also facing the same issue again.
It's looks like those assholes have bypassed the blacklist.

My guess is a DDoS or maybe a hung up process in IIS, but I need to wait for suchmoon to confirm, the commands needed to show resource information like this aren't really available on a shell/terminal user account. Server is still partially accessible on my end though, IIS appears running, but everything is very slow. The 503 error sort of hints towards a resource issue, one way or the other.

Yeah looks like DDOS. Not much I can do about that. As I said in the other thread, the forum is full of deranged trolls with nothing better to do. BPIP is only known or useful to bitcointalkers so no one else would have any interest in bringing it down.

From how long it has been down because I checked it one or two days back and it was working fine but yeah the DDOS attack is the reason and it's for all of us.This is really helpful site so hope it comes live soon after the issue is resolved.

BPIP is important for Bitcointalk users and it is a third party website that was launched after the forum had a merit system. After BPIP, there are two more websites: loyce.club and ninjastic.space that have scrapers on forum topics, posts and more.

I don't say BPIP is not important but this thread is not about that. It is more like creating a topic to get impression for post quota or for merit.

It is very easier to see other available threads and no prohibition to join those available threads for discussions. Creating new topics is unnecessary.

I thought it might be some issue from server side or from admin side but after reading your reply I am amazed by those MF's who did it, I mean what benefit they will get by doing this, it does not consists of anybody's personal credential data that can make them rich overnight. It consists of simple public data that is almost of no use to them but still they attacked it.

So sad, I hope the admins of bpip would have regular backups of it so they can relaunch it soon.

I am highly dependent on bpip but only sometimes like whenever I have to calculate my 120 days merit or have to review someone's profile like how much merits they have gained and from which person and even when I have to confirm that if some member have been banned then archive is written under there profile on bpip. It is a great tool and I hope it would be recovered soon.

Last night (7 hours ago) I can't access the site.
Upon opening my account here in the forum I wondered why I couldn't see the BPIP features on my profile account like, my BPIP rank member and DT level which is the reason why I downloaded the web extension on my browser.  I encountered the same on the OP image shown.

But now it works.

Just curious now, is the DDoS attack safe on browser extensions?

DDOS attack won't affect your extension or your browser directly. Of course if the extension needs to fetch something from the server (like rank and DT level as you mentioned) and the server is being DDOSed, it may not be able to get that information. But there is no safety issue.

As I commented in the official thread, yesterday, after pressing 'enter' it didn't work but today it does. What happens is that it is not fully functional yet, because when searching for users I get an error. suchmoon and I don't know if ibminer also is/are working on it, so it's a matter of a bit of patience.

All of these threads show how important BPIP is to this forum.

What happens is that it is not fully functional yet, because when searching for users I get an error.

This has been fixed. I didn't notice it because search worked from the home page but was failing from e.g. profile pages. Thank you for reporting this.
