You better be careful. Some people may send you personal messages, it is better you should avoid them because they want to scam you.

If you have that amount to loan, you will need to lend the money to people that you know that can not afford to be able to lose their Bitcointalk account. People in signature campaign should be able to pay the loan back if they are collecting good amount of money weekly.

You need to read the lending service of other members on this forum, make your OP more official and avoid scammers.

I'm just a newbie although I've been lurking on the forum for about 5years, I'm just looking at not spending this 2k over the yuletide

First, before you come to create this kind of topic, you should have looked through the lending board, and you will obviously see how other lenders are going about their lending services, and you can learn from there on how to open a proper lending thread. With the thread you just created now, it shows incompetency, which is something you should not have made public without starting a proper thread.

There are some other old existing lenders on the forum; if you need some guidance or advice from them, then you can send a PM to them, or better yet, read the sticky rules on the lending board. Also,  go through the lending threads of others, and you will learn.

I hope you don't try to play tricks like Mr CYBER_COWBOY who came here trying to offer loans to any rank just to build reputation. He later tried to pull off a scam where he failed miserable. He has never recovered since then. We have seen it all here.
