2) Be ready to listen and act: Try to listen to those that know more than you, for example, I read many legendary and hero post and replies to acquire more knowledge of cryptocurrency to act in a way other members will see the improvement in me.
3) Be patience when good favour is not yet coming: Be patience, if want you are expecting is not coming which is the best way to acquire good manners by waiting for the right time to come.

We could discuss here what someone considers "good manners", but I'm afraid that it would be a very long discussion with a lot of different opinions, which would not necessarily be wrong considering the cultural differences between the members of this forum. What I want to say is that most people on this forum only copy their virtues and flaws from real life, and if someone steals, lies and uses vulgar language in his society and family, then he will most likely do the same on the forum.

What is much more important is that each user familiarizes himself with the rules of the forum, and then he will understand what is good and what is bad behavior. Although I know that some people experience this forum in a completely different way than others, I think that some people exaggerate a bit and just put too much pressure on themselves.

Be yourself, read good posts, learn and pass on knowledge to others, and everything else is less important and comes naturally.

It’s good to learn how to effectively communicate with people in any space you find yourself. Newbies should know that not everyone here will like you, even if you’re doing good there will still be trolls who take pleasure in bringing you down. Your focus shouldn’t be on being liked by older members but to grow your knowledge of cryptocurrency. The forum rewards competency. This forum is an open place for one to easily learn and educates themselves they must not wait for anyone to start educating them.. We gone far away from those days were someone will call you or direct you to do something before you learn.

Naturally everything in today's world has been put in written form and it's best for you and I to develop the time and chance to face what we want and to gain the necessary knowledge we need to move us further rather than folding hands for someone here to come give you commands on what to be done or not. look very carefully this forum is large and if am not mistakenly it could take you about year (+) plus to cover up every sections of this forum and they all contained a resourceful material that you can read to know what you want to know.

Then on the moral of a thing, the thing is as a newbie or someone who is starting their journey here it's good to always play safe in order to get acquainted with the forum otherwise using the mentality of other social media to apply here will or might easily leads them to immediate ban because they refused to refresh their brains to suits with the forum standard.

Having good manners is good but the most important thing here in this forum or what you should do best is not violating the forum rules and posting good/high quality posts which many forum members appreciate. If the post is not your own words then good luck with your account unless you provide the source on where you find it. Having good manners would also help you have a good communication with other forum members. If you ask me, what you should do first is to learn how to create good/high quality posts which will help other forum members understand you right away because if a forum member post a topic or discussion that is wrong grammar for example then it will take some time or a minute before we can understand or guess what it is since we will have to choose the right words that will explain what that person is trying to explain and second is, having good manners or personality.

The rules attached here Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ teach us to always uphold the values of honesty and courtesy. There are things you should not do here, such as posting plagiarism, fraud and so on. I also never found other users who uttered harsh words at other people who did wrong, what is often found here is only education that leads to good values.

Always be kind and humble even if your knowledge is higher than other users. Posting quality content can also be polite in other forms, indirectly you have provided knowledge to other users by using vocabulary that is easy to read and understand.

Good conduct brings good relationship but still I don't know what comes about good manners over here to me since we aren't communicating facially there's no need for all this because when someone post you reply to the accordingly not by attacking that person or even if we don't have to post we should read through the whole thread and learn what others are saying I believe through there we can gain knowledge on what to say or not. What we should be more concerned about is security how we go about discussing with people and relating things with them because there are people  who think that anyone talking about bitcoin is having thousands of it.

This is not entirely correct. I don't know how many newbies I have seen fighting with others or poking others, or insulting others. But, I have seen a lot of high-ranked members who consistently engage in discussion with a negative mindset, and always try to find something wrong. For example, let's say you didn't know the difference between the gas fee and Bitcoin's sat/vB. While some members will tell you the difference and help you understand which one is used for which one and how fees are calculated, some others will start criticizing you because you were wrong.

There are another type of people who will always look for your mistake if you ever speak against them. They always deny their mistake and they believe that they cannot be wrong. The recent case of a one of the reputed member shows how anyone can be grounded due to bad manner. I guess you have seen Ratimov in this forum. He has a bad habit of attacking others whenever he see someone said something that he did not like.

So, yeah. It's important to have good manner and most importantly, A Thicker Skin.

while good manners is necessary when relating with people that are above you, it doesn't apply much to what is obtainable in this forum, what is basically expected of any person that is at his growth stage in the forum is that the person renders a meaningful and matured contribution to whatever diffusion he contributes in so that it automatically attract respect to him.

The point where courtesy becomes a necessity is when you are sharing a contrary view with others in the forum, that demands that you do it in a manner that will.shiw respect and not like you are trying to make them look foolish for making a seemingly wrong statement

Yes, I have to admit that I didn't notice that and the OP could have definitely progressed a lot more than he actually is, but I guess the main problem is that he spends too much time in Gambling and Altcoins, and for some reason he doesn't have much success in his local board. When more than half of the activity is reduced to those boards, then the conclusion is more than clear - even the best members simply don't have much of a chance to get a few merits there.

It just shows how easy it used to be to advance in the ranks even if you spent all your time in Off topic or Gambling board.

Yes, when you disobey the rules that governed this platform and you are rewarded with the punishment that deserve for such offense show that you get a bad favour but a situation where by you follow the due process to make a quality post to attract the mind of professional users in the platform and you get a huge amount of merits or they celebrate you for bringing up such write up to impact users in the platform show, that you get a good favour from the platform. Don't forget that anything we are doing in this platform record are taking for our children children will like to read to know the role will play in the Bitcointalk.org either good or bad like the way everybody is in interested about the history of the founder of BTC Satoshi today.

I disagree with you in that aspect, by saying keeping the forum clean and reporting low quality are the area users get favour from people in this platform, well they are part of the source of the favour but the major favour that come to users in this platform are those users trying to correct newbies not to do wrong things that will encourage others upcoming newbies and, there are also set of people that get favour in the platform by appear as a first person in a thread to interpret the topic very well for other users to respond to that particular topic in a way it will bring impact to other newbies in the platform.

For me, there's nothing like bad favor. Favor in itself is an approval, support or liking for someone or something or can also mean an act of kindness beyond what is due or usual so using the word bad favor doesn't just cut it for me. Generally, when you abide by the rules and regulations of the forum, you find it easy to operate here. Respect is reciprocal so when you accord respect the users here no matter their rank, you'd find same being accorded to you. Some users cozy up to the big names here so they can be "favored" , but treat the newbies with little to no respect but I don't think that's a cool way to be.

This is about the same thing the user is talking about. You attract positive attention your way when you not only post good topics, but also when you solve problems and also try to keep the forum as free of spam posts as much as possible.

Yes manners are important and generosity is something that every member in the forum should have so that communication in discussion is harmonious. But if you are really empty in good knowledge in anything on this forum, you should be more friendly in learning to those who are more senior, but if behind the account of the beginner is someone who has the ability to speak I think if you refute the argument of a higher rank account in my opinion it is a good thing, and that's where the discussion and debate lies, the most important thing is to know what to talk about and position yourself well with anyone in discussing on the forum, because everyone has a different character, so being wiser in arguing is very good.

Is it merits or a good reputation?  I’m thinking this is another how to earn merits thread and you’re talking about merits but for some reason you replace the keyword merits with favour. The greatest identity of a man is his behavior. Your manners are good means you are a very good person as a person. Good manners cannot be done by everyone, every day we meet different people on the way but not all people have the same manners. When we meet new people along the way, some people are very kind and some people are rude and some people abuse other people unnecessarily. I've found it a few times that when I treat others well, I am sure to be treated well in return. Any difficult task can be easily done by good usage and good words. When you want to shop in different showrooms, the customers are treated very politely from the showrooms, but if the customers were treated badly from a showroom, people would not go to that showroom for shopping, and this is one of the greatest virtues of good manners.

Often time I have seen the importance of a good manner of approach to things, and how important it is to cultivate good behaviour because that is the reflection of who you are and always try not to rush things, take time to think before you react to any situations because it is very important to always think before you act since your actions are the reflection of your person.
