Having read the content I for suggest make you even lock the thread because no be waytin we supposed to come argue about or discuss, you just make a big point clear and i appreciate that.

To the OP (teamsherry), if you be Nigerian and you want post for LB instead of repeating everything accordingly you can translate to local language to make a difference, hence avoid self plagiarism.

I would also advise you to  ask questions because surely na person show you this place (forum) so you fit just ask him/her questions before you make any decisions concerning the forum.

E make sense has u never carry the matter go reputation section, since na our own person, make we try correct am for here. You have really don well, but I will still ask for a request from you, I don’t know if you can contact the owner of the account, make you send the person personal message for forum, make you inform am about the thread wey u create, or you fit just tell am about the mistake wey him make directly, am sure the person will make correction, him fit no even know say you create this thread, but if you contact am, then him go see message, and if the person doesn’t make amendment, then na him go lose account, you don do ur own part.

OP you tried for not reporting him as a plagiarists but I want to ask that since he created the thread in Beginner and help and also brought it to the local board and considering the fact that all the contents in the thread was originated by him does it mean he plagiarized? Because he didn't copy someone else content as everything he copied was his own work and not someone else work because I know plagiarism to be an act of duplicating others work as your own so since he didn't copy anyone but rather himself, is it part of plagiarism as well?

Sorry to ask oh bro, but did I just hear you say you been wan report the account for general thread for what again? Because, if you think this is plagiarism, for me I do not see any plagiarism here. Because since you just said it was posted on the same thread, then definitely, it's no plagiarism. But if had it been posted on 2 different threads then it's likely to have partially been called plagiarism, but still not yet plagiarism, since it's coming from the same individual. Because, sometimes, due to network issue, it could result to someone posting a comment twice, and that shouldn't be categorized as plagiarism..

But however, I'm happy you made this public, as others will now learn from this to always double check their post history, if they may have encountered network issue while trying to post a comment.

I think am too because no be for even the same thread self, but the person created the same thread in two different sections in the same day; is that Plagiarism?

I think the definition of plagiarism is if you copy someone content without making reference to them, if that is true then this is not a plagiarism, but I don't know the name to call it, it is just posting the same content in different sections of the forum.

But however, I'm happy you made this public, as others will now learn from this to always double check their post history, if they may have encountered network issue while trying to post a comment.

Making it public is the best way to give the beginners proper guidance here in this forum, so that they will feel ashamed to repeat such mistake anytime.

Moreover, for some threads that are been translated to local boards, is it not the same as this?

It is not plagiarism, but he violated one of the rules of local board:

12. No duplicate posting in multiple boards (except for re-posting topics in the local language boards if they're translated and re-posting marketplace topics in the altcoin boards if altcoins are accepted).

Assuming he translated it to Pidgin, there is nothing bad about that, but it is still in English.

This is one of the challenge I had when I started creating threads in the forum, because I was using a mobile device i sometimes will create a thread I was to post in beginners and help and will unknowingly click into politics and society and without checking it properly, I will just hit the post button only to see that I have just posted it in the wring board. I was confused on what to do when it first happened to me since I could not delete it and post in the board I had written it for. What I did was to edit the post immediately into a new topic as soon as possible so it won't be seen as a repetition of thread and not risk falling into creating a post that is tagged as plagiarism.

If you are I'm art enough you could easily edit the post into something different but the issue is if you leave it till people start replying on the thread, it becomes very difficult because if the replies doesn't sink with the thread, it becomes a problem.

This is what we calls post bursting, any post that is not up to 20 to 30 minutes can be considered post bursting and again I don't see this post as plagiarism because this post is from the first poster, and again same poster also created same post in another thread. But what I sense there is that he should have made a reference to the first place he created that post. Plagiarism is when someone copies another's person post without putting the source link or even quoting the author who originally created the post, So for me I go talk say him do post bursting and shouldn't be reported for any reason except say him go copy post from another place or copy from google come post here without putting that link where them copy such post.

I like the way you put your talk for this matter, e no go profit person anything say person report the mater. Some people want to do the right thing but don't know how to go about it. When I checked the time frame from the two posts made, i see that there's no much interval and the funny thing about it was that it was not on thesame board, which could give a suspicious look on wether it was a deliberate and intentional move, you shouldn't be surprised that some people will always think to be smart in their own eye, if this were to be on his alt accounts then we may say it's probably a mistake, if yiu really want to help the OP, just give him a PM, he will got notified and likely make amends, some could as well be drunk while making posts on the forum, thing's like this are very common especially at night when they needed to make post.

Just go and edit your local board thread to pidgin English so that the two e no go be the same again. Nobody is perfect and most of us always made a lot of mistakes when we were growing up and people are using those mistakes to attack us. And we can see that from a legendary member who was a very good in the forum as a merits source but because of the mistake he did in the time past, the reputation of the guy just go down within a week.
