CRO wallet address starting with ''cro''

Dear friends,

I trust everyone is in good health. I held some CRO on Bittrex, but given that Bittrex Global is no longer operational, I must transfer my CRO to another wallet. Unfortunately, when attempting to move the funds to my Exodus wallet, I encountered compatibility issues with Bittrex's wallet requirements. The bitttrex support team mentioned this : "The addresses that you have been providing are valid for the Cronos mainnet and are compatible with Ethereum. However, Bittrex only supports Native Cronos Chain; therefore, the address you provide must be valid for this chain and its address format should start with "cro". "

Could you please recommend a non-mobile wallet that starts with "cro"?

I did a quick search and I found some few wallets that supports or starts with CROs and google suggested the following;

Trust Wallet.
MetaMask.
Ledger.
imToken.
Crypto.com.
Torus.
Coinbase.
TokenPocket.

This wallets starts with cro and you can try any of them to move your tokens/coins to a safe place. But the problem is that most of them are mobile wallets which you don't need right? but few have stand alone version on desktop but as I said before you can DYOR and find the most reliable for your personal use.

A little closer analysis of the problem the OP is having here shows that all the wallets you have passed here will not withdraw the CRO token provided by the OP. Because OP said here Cronus (CRO) address must start with CRO. But I searched the trust wallet and found Cronus (CRO) address starting with 0×. Here I can say trust wallet will never solve the problem for OP and if OP transfers token then token will not come to trust wallet token will be totally lost. I have only analyzed the trust wallet and have not analyzed the rest of the wallets but I will analyze and report periodically.

Thanks a lot for responding. It's quite simplistic to suggest "GIYF," as mentioned by the previous respondent, without considering whether I had already conducted a Google search before reaching out here.

I made some digging on trust wallet because trust wallet cannot be listed where it doesn't offer the service it's listed for.

You said trust wallet can't help OPs case but it quite disappointing that you don't really understand too well, let me buttress, in trust wallet if you search for the token you will find two different address which is the native address that starts with the CRO and the ERC-20 address that starts with 0x.

  For me, I can only recommend 3 wallet apps to you: Metamask, Trustwallet, and Kpler. For me, these are so far so good. Then, as you said, the Bittrex platform is no longer operational. Then you can't really tell the time either; I can't imagine before Bittrex was well-known, and then all of a sudden, that's how we'll know it's closed.

It is very confusing when there are 7 different tokens with the CRO ticker on Trust Wallet. CRO addresses on Cronos Chain start with 0x and on Crypto.org Chain they start with cro according to Trust Wallet. In Crypto.com DeFi wallet there is Cronos POS Chain with cro prefix addresses. I'm not sure if the POS chain is a rebranding of Crypto.org Chain or if it is yet another version. I can see how this confusion might lead to a loss of funds because users might accidentally send on the wrong blockchain. Developers should make a better effort to clear things up.

I don't think you would find a desktop wallet, apart from Trust Wallet you can use Crypto.com native wallet and Metamask. The only closest option for you to have a desktop wallet is to use the Metamask browser extension. If you want to know how to integrate CRO main net to Metamask you can check this tutorial. I am not sure why Exodus wallet has not upgraded from Ethereum blockchain to CRO mainnet. They should have done that a long time back.

Surprising how no one mentioned the actual native wallet for Cronos — it's Keplr. Cronis is in the Cosmos IBC ecosystem so it's going to be Keplr. MetaMask is only for Ethereum and EVM chains.

Here you will find several ImToken, CoolWallet, and MathWallet wallets, but my advice to you is to try to keep these currencies for a long time, as changes may occur at the protocol level, and it is better to Do not consider it a long-term investment.

Yep, imo it's the easiest way to solve the problem the OP was looking for, actually Keplr supports a lot of native threads including Cronos.

In addition, there are many wallet services on mobile devices that can solve this problem. I'm not sure the OP is being too strict about finding the right tool, as long as it's convenient for use, but I can also understand some cases where mobile devices are not available - but still hope that's not the case OP.
