Solana - Is it still good to buy or it's FOMO

Solana has been in rally for a while as lot of speculations and news around it and new tokens on it's ecosystem has been credited for it's rally, shall we consider this as beginning and is it a good time to take entry? Someone new to crypto would say "Yes" but those who has been here for a while would be hesitant because we have seen SOL rising from $15 to $259 and then witnessed the downfall as well to less than $8.

I personally feel little bit confused because somewhere I feel if I enter now then I will be doing it in FOMO. Please share your opinion whether we can still take entry or should we wait if there would be any possible market correction and this is not for long term investment.

Most of the tokens on its ecosystem are doing massive airdrops and some are getting listed on top exchanges this has caused Altcoin hunters to chase after it. 80k is high but not still close to the ATH, I think it will break soon if the market continues like this most especially bitcoin continues to increase. Yes, cannot trust any Altcoin as that's why I had mentioned it's not for long term. The recent hype around this coin is what makes me take a step back because you know how soon altcoin can fall from grace anytime. Hence will do some further research if there any any other events lined up for this coin which can increase its value and if yes then will make entry else will wait for a while instead of rushing into it.

You should not experience FOMO, treat it like a train that left without you. You will certainly have other opportunities to make a profit. Focus on finding another coin, the price of which has not changed much yet and, accordingly, can bring you a good profit.

Im not so sure with this coin, the rally was first initiated when there are so many bad rumours about this coin that i refrained buying it for the sake of investing and now i missed out on rally.
now i really feeling eager to buy this coin but honestly if i already missed the rally then i already missed it no point risking my money buying at peak just for the sake of waiting the follow ups rally that could be there or not going to be there.

honestly im also confused on whether to DCA this coin but well I decided to find another coin out there that just as better, after all we're not lacking any good coin like INJ for example that currently flourishing and could probably get on the same level as matic somehow in the future. one thing for sure though im not buying when the coin already reached peak, not gonna do the same mistake again like in previous bullrun.

Solana is doing great now and it is indeed because double digit increase just in 24 hours and more than 20% in the last 7 days.

the problem of OP now is that Solana had already climbed high till today so if he is still in line
to invest or there will be a dumping to come sooner . this is the problem of many people in crypto when

Imo, FOMO is not necessary with crypto that we have missed. With the altcoin space we have many options, don't get too excited and FOMO in an unwise way according to your own plan. Going through many previous stages made me learn the truth, and personally, the cryptocurrencies I am holding are still not as exciting as SOL at the moment, but I have my own opinions and assessments about that decision.

Honestly, after observing some previous FOMO signals, my doubts are the same as many people's about SOL, but after all, it is a personal decision so I think there is still a lot of opportunity so I can be patient. than. I think solana is not undervalued any more and if you didn't take entry before the rally you are late. The maximum it can go from here is 3X to 4X i think. Also current hype is driven by the potential airdrop in solana ecosystem and once its gone and people move into a new ecosystem, the price will drop eventually. But the rally it made is really amazing and unexpected. At some point i lose hope that solana would not be able to cross 40$ but it seems i was wrong. I must say they have the best marketing team in the whole industry.

You are very correct with the fact about the potentiality and performance of solana for sure this coin remain one of the most top performing coins in this season haven't given it investors alot if opportunities to make good profits from its market behaviour in the past couple of weeks and running into months,  it clear that to chose Solana as for long term base is best among others but then also,  because of the previous experience with the market,  I think it better to make out time to DCA along the line and not just holding the coin for the long term since the market is full with an unexpected incidence that can hold any coin down for a while.

I will look more into this coin once again because I haven't really given Solana a thought but now that the project is becoming more popular and many of my friends already bought some,  I may give it a short-term shout to see what I can come out with from the market.

Yup, totally solid advice.  There's always another good coin out there that hasn't trended up yet that's good to ape in...  Like right now with ARB.  It's really not been doing anything but due to EIP 4844's pending release, ARB just saw a pump.  I'm thinking tokens issued in Arbitrum would see a pump too in the next couple of weeks.  

So instead of looking at SOL and that whole market, look elsewhere.  There's lots of stuff going on out there.  Get into them early before it starts being the thing to get into.

It seems that you are also one of those who FOMO and this is the reason why the OP is hesitant. But he is thinking of waiting and seeing if the price can down. Maybe because he will also invest? I still think though that it was still part of FOMOing knowing that the pump of Solana are seem questionable. I know the tokens under it are pumping as well, so it maybe the reason. that's the usual dilemma of most traders. as you don't know what will happen next, you are just relying on your instincts what to do with the current market. this is why don't put too much money here if you can't afford to do so. many are speculating that it will surpass ETH, but in my opinion that's a long way to go for SOL.

in this current phase, the price is shooting up like crazy and everybody wants to try to get a hold of this project. but think about it. up until when it will gain its traction, it can easily go down as well. but you can always put your money on the line and sell while you have positive profit. don't wait for the time that your money will be five fold or so, because it won't go to that level that fast because this network is not a hyped up project.

for now, weigh your options. if you have good amount of money to spend on a volatile market, why not? but if not, better be conservative with your estimates. your decision will depend also on when will you need such money that you will into this market.

Well, regret is there for most times when we see that something is happening and it is always in the end. If you want to get along with solana, do it but for me, it's not going to work anymore. I am not sure how SOL will do if there is a major crash in the bitcoin price as its price growth looks abnormal. Only airdrop speculation can bring that much funding to a project over the course of a month. There is internal price manipulation and it looks like someone wants to give FTX a better price to sell off their SOL holdings to recover customer funds. It was a well-played strategy by the team and some people also benefited from it.

there has been some correction occurring along the way but yes the correction was rather short lived and also not that much of a big deal mainly because after that, it instantly recovers back maybe because people think that we are in bullish and surely any price correction gonna be instantly recovering back to its original state.
in regard of internal price manipulation though we don't know for sure, the price of SOL has increased so significantly added with the fact that many project within solana are being invested heavily as well by many investment company.
I doubt that ftx could have something to do with it maybe solana is just that good after all the project deployed are many as well.
but if we are talking about conspiracy theories then it is maybe possible, its just that, pumping project like solana requires massive capital I doubt ftx would spend all those money just to pump.

For me what happened in Solana is normal, it's just bouncing back. Because if you will check also the all-time highs of Ethereum, and Bitcoin. They are almost the same, what happened in Solana is only really tragedy because of FTX Exchange, they just experienced huge dump and late to recover.
Now Solana is close to Ethereum and Bitcoin based on current price versus all-time high prices.

No regret, yeah. I still see people that are thinking of entering on its market and buying it as soon as it go low. If we do speak about utility and overall characteristic then i could say that Solana is really indeed a good coin or project. Cheap fees and fast transactions on which it is something more better than ETH.
For those who had been able to make investment or entry point back in January 2023 then they are 10x of their investment now or even higher. No one had expected out on what SOL did. For those who had

that'd be good surprise if that truly occurring, i was so hesitant in investing solana i missed great opportunity but even if solana has the chance of reaching its all time high again i would still hesitate, right now im choosing other altcoin for the sake of not missing opportunity in the time when the bullrun, which is the biggest wave finally coming and all the altcoin are gonna be pumping so hard.

That's true! SOL chart seems bullish in my opinion. I hope it goes crazy, but it doesn't seem like it's happening right now. i can't stop wondering whether this time around solana would get some price correction because the rumoured ftx possession of an asset which you mentioned earlier for the sake of reimbursement, the fact that ftx is trying to make reimbursement which the reimbursement on its own is kinda unfair honestly since they try to give people their money back in lesser value at the time when market was still in bearish, i think it can somehow indicate that they are gonna be dumping some of their asset and one of them would be solana in which they possess massively, right now the price is ideal for that, the price has already gone 10x from when we were still at the bearish.

The maximum value BTC can drop to from here is $35k in my opinion and that is also too low, to be honest. Just like everyone else, I'm also expecting another correction but it wouldn't be as deep as you are expecting, if SOL drops even to $50 from here, that will be the best price for buying during this market cycle.

It had already started its bull run and just as what you think, we're on the same page. Once an altcoin moved a lot already, the money that was on it are already taken out and moves to another project as this is how the altcoins market works. I don't think that there will be more to its move not unless the peak of Bitcoin is made and there's a new flow of money going in to the altcoins. I don't know the truth, but in my small community, I often say that Solana's price collapsed yesterday because of the FTX case which sold too much Solana, resulting in panic selling among investors. but what I admire about Solana is its fanatical community, in my country I see many people who worship the Solana network, if someone opposes them they will put up their bodies to defend their arguments. incredibly solid.

It must be the FTX dump combined with Bitcoin dump which is also making the impact is just getting even bigger to the whole of crypto market. It is crashing the price of solana, but I see it as an opportunity offered by the dump of solana since this coin is getting big again, similar to when EZ eth depegs with the price of ethereum which was really painful for a lot of people. Panic selling is an opportunity for you to obtain solana at a very low cost and take profit once it was going up again. Bitcoin, like solana, is declining by a few percent and im not seeing it as a problem.

It's not just with SOL, the whole market follows Bitcoin if it goes up, they all go up, and if it goes down the market will go down and all coins will go down. I am in favour of investing in SOL because even if the market goes down, SOL is a very good project, it has recovered before and will recover again.

It feels the reply contradicts itself because you’re saying the decision should be coming from you after you have done your own analysis and preference, but yet in the beginning you said FOMO or not. FOMO can come from any source but in crypto, the most likely source of FOMO is from hype. A vast majority of people who have been swallowed up by FOMO are people who got blinded by the hype (which causes FOMO). OP, as you can see the same pattern has been repeated. I mean while you post about solana, that time it was probably $15 something and after some months it hit more than $200. Which is similar to your explanation what had happened in 2021. But this time solana isn't going to downfall, it has developed itself as more stronger than before and rather it'll grow cause bull run is yet to start. So you may have it without worries

its not really a FOMO the solana coin is as far as I know among the best one in the market, the blockchain is really active the ecosystem is great more specifically for meme coin enthusiast you won't run out of meme coin released everyday even though majority of them are just shit meme coin not even worth looking but sometime there are some meme coin worth investing.

I think people are afraid that it will go back to its starting point price or value where it only priced around $10 if i remember correctly since the price is already too high people tend to be afraid because there's bigger possibility that it will get dumped by the whales that trying to dump their coin accumulated from the lowest price floor.
not their fault because logically speaking that should be making people afraid when a coin thats priced too high or being considered over valued suddenly shrinking in price and then it dumps so hard many people will get massive minus in their investment.

From the time of creating this thread till now Solana network has been a problem to investors and newcomers that wanted to invest so people have not be able to invest largely in that project like that in this year. And the time when I see Solana in the early part of February was $157. 57 and nor the price is $147. Though it is good to invest in it now if the person is interested and if the network is free now.

It is better to invest in a project that is more popular than to invest in a project that is not well known.
