Nice job on the new release.  We appreciate it.  QT..ehm, core, is a smooth, simple, sweet piece of software with great power and reliability.  RPC is bad ass.  Its easy to get data and find information.  List goes on.  I enjoy it a lot, so cheers.

Whatever negative nancy.  That's a whole separate discussion.  The reference client may never what you think it should be.  I don't think anyone can intellectually assert that even bitcoin's place in the future of the world is set in stone or known to even exist.

Maybe it will be only for nerds like me. Whatever the case, the client is solid. It works for me, I do awesome stuff wit it.

Now about the dig on the core software -  why do you think its those guys' job to make the product usable for the general public?  I think their time is better spent ensuring the continued operation of the network as it scales.

With the ultimate scaling in mind, it is no wonder it is best now to appeal to the technically inclined.

tried using the bitcoin mac client....lol

scary part is even scamcoin devs seem to get more stable clients then bitcoin's core team can get

(thats without the microtrans argument, hell my bank charges me nothing to transfer fiat).

I've never used it on a crapbook, so I don't know.

Let's see - the bitcoin devs are dealing with 5 year old code,huge scaling challenges (no alt comes close) and compatibility over all that time with the original satoshi client and the oldest blockchain there is.  The raw original shit.

Whereas the new the new coin devs get to take all their ideas and innovations. There's nothihng wrong with that,  but why are you surprised something that has had the luxury of being copied and reinvented 100 times may show it?  The innovation is *here*.

Even if you had a point, which you dont, show some respek homes.  I was tyring to thank them here, please take your criticism elsewhere.

Overused analogy but it's a good analogy that's why.. when the WWW was 5yrs old, just look at the atrocious browsing software we had. When it was 10 years old the most widely used browsing software was still pretty diabolical but as more and more companies and developers strive to create something good - look what we have now! The core/official client is for nerds, developers, ideas, code examples, backend systems and generally bolstering the network. It is not for the end user. It also shouldn't take 10yrs, I think we'll start seeing some excellent software over the next 12-18mo.

It's not aimed at the normal consumer, and never will be. That's up to the (commercial) community. Many alternative wallets exists for them already such as the Android Wallet, or Multibit.

The point of the reference client is to support the network, and for developers, enthousiasts and advanced users.

I can see 0.9.0 discourages address reuse.  But, I have keypool paranoia.  What is the deal with this, has anything changed?

And if so should I make a new wallet with this client?

Now is there a software that can help you if you use multiple wallets? Basically the software has to replace the wallet.dat automatically.
