first of all i think you should get to know about the basic, and what i mean by the basic is like the fundamental of how cryptocurrency works and then you go on learning about defi, gamefi, and so on. its essentially just digitalizing traditional way of  doing things financially also, learn about staking and retroactive. might be overwhelming for someone that might be new into cryptocurrency and still trying to find a way but having solid understanding about the whole concept, even if you know some concept in computer science will help you a lot.

Web3 is the evolution of the internet, if I explain in detail, I'm not sure you can understand because you asked to explain simply. Supposedly, before you ask about Web3, you should know the basics first, after knowing the basics, then we can move to the next level about getting profit or income.

AFAIK, there are several ways to get profit or income on Web3, including:

1. Invest in NFTs

Web3 is broad, it's not simple to understand, not as the name sounds to the ear. There's nothing like simple way to explain crypto other than doing our findings ans applying for crypto related mentorship programs with sorting out prominent mentors in the space. I know it's challenging and difficult at first but with time, everything tends to become simple and easier for the newbie in question to understand. You're still very fresh and have no idea of how the market operates, we're in the system to become independent and utilized our time into solidable projects other than relaxing for projects that won't reach any promising phase.
