AFAIK, multiple wallets still do. Electrum should be one of them. Exodus also allows you to sweep a private key from a paper wallet, and it also supports BIP39 (in case you have it encrypted).

This is not going to "convert" the private key to a seedphrase though. You have to create a standard wallet first, and when you sweep, the funds will be sent from the private keys/paper wallet address to that wallet.

There are a few phone wallets that allow you to convert private keys to seed phrases, but most do not. This capability can be found, for instance, in the Exodus wallet. Alternatively, you can utilize a service such as MyEtherWallet to convert your private key into a seed phrase and if course I believe electrum wallet also offer the same services and feature.

Nonetheless, keeping your seed phrase and private key apart is highly advised When it comes to cryptocurrency security, it's always advisable to err on the side of caution because converting one to the other might be perilous.

You get your private keys from seed phrase, and not your seed phrase from private keys.
Most wallets can generate multiple private keys to sign transactions from your seed phrase, and if you are to do that you would need to have the master private key.
I think Exodus wallet can carry out sweep but not sure if it's available on Android.

The new exodus does not allow one to sweep a private key... :S there is no settings button to do it any more.. I am trying to sweep a dogecoin wallet.

For dogecoin, maybe you can try to see if Coiniomi supports that? I know they have a sweep feature just not sure for which coins.

It seems all wallets listed there for Dogecoin do not have a sweep option even the trust wallet.

@spazzdla why not create a new wallet and make sure to save the backup seed to a safe place and import the private key manually to any wallet of your choice and send them to your new wallet?

You can't turn a Bitcoin private key into a seed phrase. A private key unlocks and allows you to spend coins associated with one particular address. A seed phrase is higher up in that pyramid structure and is the master key that gives you access to the coins in all addresses derived from that seed phrase. You can't use a key from a level below to magically turn it into higher-level master key.

Electrum wallet allows you to import individual private keys, but there is no "private key into seed conversion feature".

There is no need to keep note and track of individual private keys in today's age. A seed phrase can derive all the private keys you would unnecessarily write down on paper.

That's the problem with useless altcoins, even the developers don't have enough incentive to continue developing and providing useful features for users. In any case if you want information on Dogecoin wallets you may get better response from Doge community on reddit or something like that. This is a bitcoin board.

It depends on how large is the amount you need to sweep. If it's a large amount it's maybe safer to install Dogecoin core https://github.com/dogecoin/dogecoin/releases

If it's a small amount you can simply use a browser wallet, but it's safer to use a browser without plugin or to deactivate them at least.
Dogechain.info has a feature dedicated to paper wallets for example and you can also import private keys on Dogeparty but I guess other browser wallets offer such feature.

Otherwise you can try to use some multicoin wallets such as the ones suggested above.

I see that the last login of the user was about 17 days ago, so I assume that the problem has been solved, but not all wallets support the option of importing the private key and converting it to a wallet seed, so the easiest solution is to include it in DogeWallet (Dogeparty wallet) and then use an open source wallet such as DogeChain.

Yeah, I saw it on the list, but I have never tried that particular wallet, nor have I read much feedback from other people who used it. Don't confuse it with the Bitpay payment gateway, though. Bitpay is non-custodial but closed-source, so anything can be going on behind the curtains that users don't know about.

Yes but unfortunately and strangely Trust Wallet doesn't allow to import single adresses(only seeds) for Bitcoin, and BTC-like coins such as Dogecoin while it is allowing it for several others like Ethereum, Tron, BNB, Stellar, Gnosis, etc, so I guess this is why nobody proposed it here before. I hope they will add such feature for those coins into a next update though.
