Shouldn't Deposits Into A Wallet Show Under Transactions?

I'm new to Cryptocurrency, so I apologize for asking basic questions.

A relative wants to give me a graduation present in Bitcoin (BTC).
So I created a Coinbase account and gave him my BTC address.
However, he won't do it that way. He had me create a Ziraxia Wallet because it's open source.
He gave me an API number, which I inserted, and it's now "extracting money from his hash wallet."
Although deposits are being made, the Transaction History is empty.

This person in my family enjoys making jokes, so I am assuming that he is playing a prank on me.
When someone sends you Bitcoin, aren't they simply transferring the money to your digital wallet, such as Coinbase?

When he used API in sending you the bitcoin, did you received it into your wallet, if not then he must be playing some prank actually on you, on a normal way, when you receive a bitcoin transaction, you will be notified through your email in case you're using a centralized exchange, or you can see the transaction details through the wallet transaction history if you're using a non custodial wallet.

Anyone that wants to send you Bitcoin should not give you any number or method for you to get the Bitcoin, especially when you have the basic knowledge about Bitcoin, my first red flag is you creating a Coinbase wallet, never save your Bitcoin in an exchange, I would rather encourage you to get your own personal wallet the one I make use of without issues is electrum wallet and all you need to do is send your uncle your wallet address and he gifts you the amount of Bitcoin he wants to, it's that simple.

Yes every transaction both deposit and sent are shown on your transaction history in the wallet. You can also confirm a transaction propagation by using any blockchain explorer. If someone needs to send you bitcoin the only thing they need to ask is the address and this is gotten from  your  wallet. Once it is sent you will see the amount reflecting on that wallet. The only way you wouldn’t see it is if it is sent to a wrong address or a wrong chain/network is used

I have never come across that type and name of that wallet. Looks like that wallet is owned by that relative of yours. Are you that it is your relative and not just a random guy on the internet that have given you instruction to download that wallet as he's going to give you some giveaway? I'm sorry to say OP but look at that amount that's about "loaded" to your wallet, it's unreal that someone will just give you with that amount. Actually, the normal process of the wallets is there's no need for such API number. It is not called API extraction or number but 2FA code if it's activated on that wallet. I wouldn't be surprised if that guy asked you to deposit a certain amount for you to be allowed to withdraw.

One way to check if your relative is pranking you, and since the sent amount is credited to your Ziraxia account, why not withdraw it to your non-custodial wallet, set up an Electrum wallet, and see for yourself if the amount can be withdrawn?  I think only you can tell whether it is a prank or not since you have the amount appearing in your Zirixia wallet.

My relative told me not to move any of the funds until extraction process is finished. If I do attempt to move the funds it may interfere with the extraction process. I guess time will tell. Once the extraction is finished I will see if I'm able to move the funds or if he asks me for a deposit into his wallet in order to do so.

It is really an unknown wallet and first time to hear that. Not all good reviews that you see as per these wallets and services are legitimate. Many can be done by someone who's got paid to leave a positive feedback. So I did some research about it and found this thread on reddit.

I guess that I was right that they might ask you some certain amount of money before you'll be able to withdraw so that's a sign that it's likely a scam wallet because of that procedure. I think that it's hard for you to accept when you see those fake numbers with that wallet. Sorry to say that there's no easy free money nowadays especially in Bitcoin and that relative of yours if he's really your relative, just tried to scam you.

Google ads are not a reliable source of information as google do not verify their authenticity before posting. If this is the only reason you trust the sites, then you’re dead wrong. There’s very little information on the Internet about this wallet. Only times it comes up on Reddit and Github is on a scam discussion thread

I also checked for any scam history and found none. The domain is old which means they have been around for some years but there are also red flags to consider.

Since Ziraxia Wallet has been around for a long time, I'm sure that I'm not the first person to be scammed. I would think there would be a lot of complaints, not just 2.

I don't think you are scammed because you didn't even said that you send funds and you only said that you are only receiving funds unless you make a deposit then I would say that you are scammed. Anyway, I think your relative is  doing a prank on you and the wallet that you use is I am also not familiar with it or never heard of it. If you didn't spend a single cent then you are not scammed kf that's what you worry about but as I have explained that if you do then you are getting scammed and pranked by your relative.

That is certainly a very likely possibility. No legitimate business would charge a fee to "extract" your funds. If there is a legitimate fee associated with their terms of service, it should be deducted from your balance on the platform, and not require a new deposit to cover it.

Having an old domain doesn't necessarily mean the website or company behind it is legitimate or trustworthy.  And it doesn't guarantee that it has a good reputation or is free from scams or malicious activity.

You can check the website's archives to verify this. A few years ago, the same domain was used to sell T-shirts.

I don't know how API works in sending funds to another wallet but it could be an off-chain transaction since there's no transaction history.
Might they see that there's a huge fee upon sending or transferring Bitcoin so they use off-chain transactions that are commonly used in the same wallet?

If this Ziraxia wallet is open-source, exporting to another wallet is an available option?
It might good idea if you will export it into another wallet to see if there's a real Bitcoin that you receive not a prank.

I Googled, "Does Ziraxia Wallet Charge An Extraction Fee" and there were two websites that gave Ziraxia very high comments.

I did google those 2 sites, and for the most part, there is nothing but good things said about those sites.
I did enter those two sites into scam detection sites but they said they are legit.

There was a Reddit question, which a poster mentioned, but this person said that they ask for a 5% extraction fee upfront.

If this is a scam, it's a very elaborate one, where they are spending a lot of money on positive reviews.

I guess I'll just have to wait until the extraction is finished.
I'll keep everyone posted but it looks like it's going to be a long process. It averages 2% finished a day. So it will take 50 days for it to be 100%. If Ziraxia is a scam site, they are in it for the long run. They aren't quick about it.
