This is what I wanted and kept working on with myself. It's tough not to do this because you are trying to get back what you have lost and possibly profit into "stopping" betting but if that moment comes, that's not going to be a benefit for you but for the house.

Every time I lose, I always try to double my next bet trying to get back what I've lost from previous round, I think this is just normal and you don't have to blame it to yourself for doing that. I think every gambler has this strategy especially on baccarat or any 50/50 chance of game because it is always working but you also need a huge capital to do so. However, if it is your unlucky day, doubling your bet losses after losses might be a bad idea.

This is a good advice, to have a moderation or control on the amount we wager in a casino.  But one question in mind is how can one test the water in gambling???  We all know gambling result is random and most are dependent on RNG.  The possibility of getting burn is huge even if we are testing the waters as you stated.  We can get good result while testing the gambling game result but may suffer a series of losses once we execute our plan after" testing the waters."

I think I will just go one with fix amount of bet, this way I won't have stress and strain due to the random result of the game since one can never get the tempo of the game if the result is based on RNG.

How come you're against increased stakes especially when they're on loss?? Isn't that what a regular gambler believes?? Isn't that one of the strategies y'all feel okay with? Atleast I've been reading all through y'all guides and informative threads.. it's says and I quote; "when losing, try to increase your stakes on the best possible odds.. that way, if you hit a win, you'll cover up everything you've lost already"... Good!! The question is - what if you don't hit a win? Let's assume you lost $40 and you increased them stakes to about - say $100 and kept on wagering for sometime before hitting the win finally, do you actually think your PW could equate the ones you've lost for everytime you wagered?? Let's better be sensible for ones....

Getting your point and yup there's always random outcome and same with that post above you, it can be change and adjust from time to time. Maybe if the strategy works you can simply add some tweaks and try to see if that will work if losing streak starts to show and messed around, though I like your position, having the set balance and allow yourself to whatever gambling style and be aware with managing your emotion, whatever the outcome just take the enjoyment and treat the outcome as experienced for that certain sessions.

If you do things that way, there's no pressures and winning is just a bonus from the entertainment that you acquire. Just my opinion..

Congratulations on your win it's not easy to reach a good percentage of your earnings with a small bankroll, but that's not the case always, there's no one way to win, you have to take action in every roll, in your case you have found a method where you can concentrate on and make it possible for you to win.
I'm sure many of us will adopt this method I sometimes do this, thinking of every roll and taking a course of action it is a slow phase and takes away some fun and excitement It is kind of monotonous but if you get used to it, you will eventually enjoy it.

Assuming I have $20 to be used to bet for the week. I want to go for 3 rounds. Anytime I win, I will stop gambling for the day. I go for a 3 odd game.

For 3 odd games
I bet $5
If I lose, I will bet $10
If I lose I will bet $20

This is called martingale which we all know and can be used to win. Anytime I win, I will stop playing. If I lost three 3 times, I lost for the week, but the chance that I will lose three time is very small. All losses after a single winning would be recovered and there would be more profit.

The disadvantages are that you will not be able to stay long to gamble and also if you lost more, the higer the losses in the next round. It takes discipline and responsible gambling.

Why do you think that the chance of losing three times in a row is very small? I remember playing low IQ games like slots, crash, dice and I had such "three times in a row" loses. That's why I stopped playing those low IQ(and probably rigged) gambling games.

I agree, most of the time we are so excited to bet that we bet a huge amount especially when we have not played a long time, taking it easy and getting the feel of the game is important, I usually bet 1% of my bankroll or even lower when starting just to feel the game and increase when luck is on your side.

Patiently waiting is something most gamblers fails to understand , because they keep tending themselves to win instantly  i mean why need to speed up your win/losses when you can take time to enjoy the game while analyzing how much luck you have that time?

Chasing wins sounds familiar as I have been down that road on several occasions. I lost a bet and as a result I damn the consequencs and start chasing till I lost the remaining funds that was much more than what was initially lost. ALtough I consider it to be fun at some point but it still remains a major loss with a lesson.

If you play regularly on slots, testing the waters mentioned by the user you have quoted by starting at a small bet until finally feeling the tempo is working sometimes.
