This is true, each of us has a different ways to control ourself when it comes to gambling, and All I can say is that not everyone has the ability to control themselves, sometimes it's really hard for them especially if no one can help them. I'll call this the power of urge, it controls the mind that if you don't bow to it you won't get yourself till you just satisfy the urge. That is why gambler must Learn and never allow the habit of gambling to get into their head because the urge in gambling is something that can not be controlled. The things people do to play gambling is due to the strong urge they have in gambling.

You can make good decisions when you are not addicted, but once the addiction is in someone it won't be possible for one to make decisions and keep to it. One of the things that make people to be addicted in gamble is when you think you can always make money from gambling, having do much confidence in gambling has really led many people in addiction which they have been struggling with to stop but they still keep on obeying their urge.

I'm not against in everything you said because they are valuable points , but that does not stand for real gambler , the more they tend to stop is the more eagerness comes and stops them from stopping .
you can hold that to me as a former addicted gambler, not until i found the way out but as long as the person is in gambling ,and really engaging? sorry but those aren't applicable by all means .

I think you are wrong..... Gambling are developed to reel you in slowly, until you are addicted. (If you are inclined to it) Just look at the mechanism behind slots, where it will give you small wins on a regular basis to keep you going for hours.

It will never just take your money on one continuous streak, because they know small boost of endorphins will have you searching for more and more of those chemicals.... so they just give you frequent small wins and slowly drain your balance over time.

as soon as you realize these aspects, and play in this way, you realize that you don't have to rely on anything related to "chance" but you have to be "scientific" in your approach.

The sense of control is what many humans lack and they don't care to look into it and maybe develop in such area, but the others that do can dominate in anything, if they found gambling to be a threat they are always ready to neutralise the threat, this is my one mentality too.

I don't smoke and I don't drink, I have friends that do these and they failed to turn me into a smoker or a drinker, I do things my own way and my yes is anyways a yes, if I don't like something and I have made up my mind to stay away, it's a forever goodbye, because I ain't coming back, it's the way I treat people too, if my energy doesn't match with yours, all I owe you is good morning and good night, if we happen to take the same route.

I don't buy the idea of something getting you into an unending pain and you still stick to it, knowing that it's killing you, it's either you run from it or you find a way to maintain your losses dealing with such thing, it's not that hard.

I think it's just a difference in mindset? It's similar to how people who don't really have depression sometimes see it as something vague, imaginary even. People who can stop gambling at a moment's notice don't really view it the same as people who can't stop gambling, simple as that. An explanation wouldn't really matter much at that point since it's rather vague at where the line is drawn, but it's definitely there. It can be because of varying reasons but at the end of the day, they just won't stop. I have nothing to say really, I mean if you were to tell someone to be careful outside, would that be a guarantee that they'd listen? No. Same here. Even if we tell a gambler that you can stop a thousand times, it's not a guaranteed thing they'd listen.

There is a very thin line between not being able to control oneself in gambling, and being a gambling addict.
This line is actually so thin that it's very hard to tell whether that gambler who is constantly playing is actually addicted to the game, or just lack self control.

And on the other hand, what could lead to lack of self control in gambling is also losses, when a gambler have lost much more than he or she planned for, or budgeted for, this can actually lead to lost of self control as the gambler is clearly chasing after his loses, hoping to see if he or she could win back some of the money he or she lost, this is what leads most gamblers into actually becoming addicted to gambling.

So, going by the above facts, I think it's wrong to judge or blame gamblers who seem not to be able to help themselves out of gambling anymore, what i think is best is for us to encourage them to try and get over their loses in gambling, for chasing after it can only lead to more loses.

In several posts I always mention that it is not gambling that is wrong, it is ourselves who are wrong, both in understanding gambling itself and when playing it. because whether gambling is good or not depends on who plays it.

I do not agree with you that it is not hard to quit gambling,  it is actually hard to quit, especially if you are addicted. What is actually easier to do is moderating it from the very beginning, once you can regulate yourself earlier whether you win or not, the tendency for you to have gambling problem will be low. Addiction is not just something to joke with, it is a disease,  a disease that affects the mind. Just like every other type of disease,  it starts when you do not take health/hygienic precautions. With time, you begin to see signs and symptoms, and if still left untreated or uncared for, it develops into something more serious and harmful.

Gambling addiction works this way too. It affects your mind that you do not have control over your urge anymore.  With time it begins to affect your finances, your relationships,  your job and even your general wellbeing. If a gambler is able to control himself while gambling,  he cannot be said to be addicted. Addiction means "lack of control" and in most cases,  you need external help to overcome.

Quitting gambling will be very hard. Yes, it's because of the gambler itself. That's why it's hard for them to stop gambling or betting. Even if they know the consequences or are suffering from the consequences, it's still hard for them to stop as it's not about addiction; it's about the gambling itself embedded in their mind and body, and that's what they long for. It's not right to make this kind of statement without fully understanding what's going on in the mind of a gambling addict, you have to put yourself in their situation to understand how hard for them to stop their addiction to gambling, there are no magic words that make them stop gambling, they need to be rehabilitated and it takes months or years to get that addiction out of their system.
Control is not easy when you start with the wrong mindset, and that wrong mindset is trying to make money when it is impossible to make money from gambling because the house will always beat us if you are contented with your winning and treat it as an entertainment you have the right mindset.

People do what they want, and their responsibility follows that desired behavior. So there's no good reason to do anything without responsibility. I'm also a gambler, but not to the extent of being into it. I'm conscious of finding small joys through this field, And it fits perfectly. It would be unreasonable if we kept imposing our personal opinions on others, saying that what they do makes you uncomfortable . Similar to many other things in life, we cannot force a person who does not have the habit of reading books to give up the daily pleasure of watching TikTok and switch to reading books in search of knowledge, which is inherently a difficult life. In different contexts, we experience things in opposite ways, but it's okay, just do what you feel is right, even if you don't think about responsibility, you will have to bear the consequences. It is like a fairness present in life.

Happy holidays mate! That is what will happen if we are irresponsible gamblers. Our emotions will make us addicted to gambling. Regardless of winning or losing we tend to chase one of them that is why we end up having a hard time stopping ourselves from it.

It's not peoples fault to say the truth, many people are suffering so much and the only thing that they can do is to try their luck with gambling, few people are able to escape from poverty with gambling but not all of them will get that lucky.

Have any of you ever feel bad telling those who have less than you to stay away from gambling when you have no other better option for them? This have one time happened when I was having a conversation with a gambler, he has no other way.

The best way I helped this gambler was revealing to him how I go about my own gambling strategy, if you are not a irresponsible gambler you can actually get lucky some day but I advice against relying too much on gambling.

It is me who keep gambling reckless with faucet on bonus money Cant change myself. Cant do nothing about it. Since the money are not mine, I cant withdraw them and havent worked hard for them - I use them for weird and reckless betting. Like going a streak of all-ins in try to quick and easy doubling balance Wont call it addiction or strategy. Probable just "easy come, easy go". Principles, humans have fundamentals that are the basic guidelines for every human being in acting or thinking about something that every individual wants to do, including gambling activities, If someone is guided by the principle that they came into the world of gambling based on the rules, then it is easy for them to stop and continue placing bets.

By having betting principles they can legally still control themselves when placing bets or stopping, on the other hand someone who is strong in their principles is not easily influenced by anything around them or their gambling environment, betting has basic rules for them, as well as money and so on, it is different for those who are not guided by principles.

In my opinion, every individual who is involved in gambling must be based on fundamentals, because in gambling it is always synonymous with social, money or analysis, they know when to stop and continue placing bets.
