It depends on the mindset and the point of view you could have on gambling and the rest of the people who partake in gambling on casinos. While I can understand you feeling sympathy or empathy for other people, anyone who is a serious gambler or at the very least a responsible adult is supposed to be ready to her losses as soon as they start to wager.

If everytime you lose money while gambling or betting you take the hit and do not whine about it on the internet, sending pictures of your losses and things like that, then you are to be considered yourself to be a responsible adult. That how is supposed to work in the ideal case. If you want to help to cope with those feelings, just assume those you play against are as responsible as you and they won't be betting using money we cannot afford to lose.

that is, if you are playing face to face. but for online pvp games, i guess, the strategy may vary.  in physical pvp games, i believe, the longer you are playing and learning each player, the better chance for you to formulate such strategy for your own advantage. but online pvp games, i guess this is quite hard to learn the opponent's technique as you are just basing from his online moves and not seeing his actual face.

It seems you have different meaning of what is PvP game. As far as I understand, as long as you are playing against other player, it is called by PvP game as PvP stands for Player Vs. Player. It seems you have different meaning of what is PvP game. As far as I understand, as long as you are playing against other player, it is called by PvP game as PvP stands for Player Vs. Player. No matter what kind of game which is played, it is real PvP game. Even pinball as of the PvP game you want to see is not completely skill based game especially when it comes to online casino.

You make a good point that PvP means player vs player, so any game where you go up against another person counts.  But I think there's a difference between games about skill and games about luck. 

It's not like there's an official rule for what makes something a real PvP game.  Some folks might call anything you play against others PvP, even if skill isnt really involved. 

But in my opinion, true PvP games test your abilities.  Luck comes into play of course, but ultimately it's about who plays better, not just getting good rolls.  Games like chess come to mind - no randomness, just head to head competition.

Meanwhile, something like poker has huge elements of chance.  Sure there's strategy in bluffing and reading people.  But you can make all the perfect moves and still lose because you got crap cards.

So I guess it comes down to where you draw the line.
