You can set that, with your own rules and fund the jackpot everyone will be willing to participate and join the game..

There are some other contest and competition in the forum which are being organized either by individuals or companies which many members usually participate and win things like that do occur.

Even the forum through others do organize some kind of contest like the pizza, Halloween carving contest have come across many of such thread why browsing through the forum.

Not every member on Bitcoin talk is a gambler. However Bitcoin talk has a gambling child board in the marketplace section under economy. So if part of what you want here on this forum is a lottery why don't you kindly go to the marketplace section .I am sure you will definitely get one.

You have to get the fact that Bitcoin talk already has a yearly community award where members can get nice prices for their outstanding performances on the forum. I even consider it as a medium of proper improvement on the forum than a lottery .

Why not, after all this forum is a giant gambling platform, we bet on ideas, on people, on the future etc. But I can't see any growth for the forum, only a growth in the size of some random member's pocket. 🤑

Although the forum admins have not launched anything like you said yet, but if you check “games and round board” you’ll see that there are certain competitions that are being held by different users here and also services that are being promoted in the forum; for the time being you could use that to occupy yourself till theymos finally decides to take off his programming clothes and put on his Santa hat.

Yes it is, but the fact that it’s possible does not mean that it will be done.

I believe if the Forum had something like that (jackpot lottery) you would have come up with a different request or something you wish that should have been added to the Forum. I don't understand why newbies always wish for something that's not going to happen. Not everything you wish for comes to reality.
OP, let the jackpot lottery be but if you're really looking for something you'd engage in to win, I suggest you check on services you can try on one of those art contest, who knows you can be one of the winners.

This is not a gambling forum although there are a lot of gamblers on board here. Friend, you are in a diverse platform with its main purpose being to help members educate themselves about cryptocurrency, especially Bitcoin. While there are competitions available, some are free, and others require a registration fee. You might want to explore the Games and Rounds board, which is located in the Gambling section.

Why not fund and host the lottery yourself?? There were times when certain competitions were arranged in the forum. For example, the art competition,  the pumpkin carving competition, or the pizza competition Additionally, there are numerous raffles and giveaways that many reputable members regularly organize. You could try those if you want.

If you will provide the jackpot prize then why not? We have game and rounds on the gambling board which you can start your own forum lottery.

Forum is not a gambling site nor a foundation that gives money to the poor. There’s casino that offers this service which everyone here can freely join but if you are rich then you can start giving away part of your wealth through lottery.

I don't know if forum does such things but when you look at the game and round section you would see many things over there to participate, forum must not announce it specially for you to know that is from forum. But however, there is a section for everything even though forum doesn't directly provide it an individual can make it happen just as you know now. But keep it in mind that this is a general forum which allows everyone to do whatever they feels like and since you raised this motion why not execute it yourself?

I won't say we need a jackpot lottery but many contests have occurred that also give big rewards to the winners, like we have Pizza Day where everyone shares the pics of pizzas they have made and then they are rewarded with the pizza tag, and we also have pumpkin day when we all share the pumpkins we have decorated for celebrating Hallowen, I don't know if there is any rewards are also given to the winners like in terms of money.

But they are given tags, merits, appreciations etc. There are many other ways to earn money on this forum, like joining signatures, bounties etc. and I don't think the admins of this forum are charging these managers any penny to advertise the projects here, so why would they give free money to us, while we can make money using this forum.

I know there used to be giveaway threads but I don't know if they're still operational till date. Taking about winning, if everyone who participates wins something; then there's no fun to it. What makes games exciting is the suspense they create around who's going to win. Anyway, your suggestion is a noble one. You can implement it yourself by organizing it and calling the shots. You don't have to pass off the idea.

I'm not sure how such idea can come to someone's head. Bitcointalk isn't gambling platform and they don't make such lotteries. But if you would agree to sponsor it with some nice money, maybe theymos would consider such offer. But now, no. Bitcointalk now don't even sell ad spot on website anymore and they don't make any money at all. So, making such giveway wouldn't be smart move. But even without such marketing tricks Bitcointalk aren't struggling to attract new users.
Closest thing to what you're asking for is Bitcointalk community awards, but you have to do something significant and get nominated and win.

What type of jackpot or lottery you are asking about? Jackpot in the form of rank upgrade or jackpot in the form of money? If you want jack pot in form of rank upgrade then that's not possible and isn't needed at all, I have seen such a post where a members was asking for a jackpot of rank upgrade.

If you want jackpot or lottery in the form of money then you can see many such jackpots in gambling board. Mostly in games and rounds where members get the rewards for participating. I don't think that the forum would ever pay anyone from their own pocket as they don't run any advertisements and they aren't supposed to pay others in the form of jackpots.

I think the context to what you’re asking is in the name and mode of reward else, contest does exists on the forum but, not a lottery in per say. What you observe more;

The various fantasy leagues where funds are pooled and disbursed (T&C Applies)
We have several contests in games and rounds

There are just more and more of those underlying events that could be in itself rewarding. Mustn’t always be money and you could be damned sure some of them get merits too if that’s of any concern here.

Still, the idea to the forum has always been about seeking knowledge and that should be the focus and not some lottery or awards. It’s a shift and I feel we already have some for content.

If you find someone who supports this event, it can certainly be there. There are many prizes based on luck in which users are not required to buy a ticket or make any payments, but since such events do not generate a lot of money, the value of the prizes is very low, but they are free and do not require Nothing but being lucky.

Anyone? It will only invite more seasonal members (alts) let's say active at the end of each year. This is also unnecessary waste, there is a lot of work that this forum must do with current funds, especially the EpochTalk project which hasn't yet been realized. And keep in mind that the forum has stopped renting out banner ad space, so the actual forum income has been cut a lot.

As a kid have struggled with intelligence I have ADHD my preforantial cortex is underdeveloped and as an adult it has really barred my progress and stoped me in being able to chase after my dreams I find it hard to concentrate for a long period of time and I find it difficult remembering anything I read is there anyway there is a  way that could boost intelligence as a person that has struggled in this aspect as a person does anyone know personally a significant way to boost intelligence even though its unorthodox anyway at all and when I say intelligence I mean the ability to absorb large amount of information at a time and retain it for a long period of time or a photographic memory the kind of intelligence I am talking about is mainly intelligence used in studies
