Over the time, I’ve seen several post, by users here who, claim that gambling is strictly for fun, even when one is making losses and I’ve paused to ask this question “Is there actually any fun in gambling especially when the losses are more than the winnings?”
Let’s be frank, there are several other things one can do for fun aside gambling and I understand that life it’s own is a risk but seeing claims that people see gambling as fun even when making losses is weird and I think it’s worth discussion as to know if truly people gamble strictly for fun without minding if they’re losing or winning

Losing itself is no fun of course, if we would know before that during our next session we are only going to lose, then nobody would gamble. Unfortunately nobody knows the future and without losing there is also no winning. A casino is a private company that needs to make a profit, the can't just only payout winnings and make everybody happy. I had to accept a long time ago that losing is part of the game and there will always be a losing streak we have to get through. It's true that we could be doing many other things with our money, like going to an expensive restaurant, having some drinks in our favorite bar or go on vacation. All those things require us to spend money, but the big difference to gambling is that we don't have a chance to make a profit. With gambling we can make some return on our spending and if we are really lucky even hit a jackpot. It's also depending on the nature of a person, some people get really excited when adding money to games and bets and will do it with friends or in a casino. Just because we end up losing some money doesn't mean that the whole evening is ruined, we can still have some fun.

Losing can never be fun and I can't say if it is for anyone because losing is not fun for me. Gambling is a fun place that's right but everyone is unhappy when they lose. Because everyone wants to win gambling. So I don't think anyone can say that he is happy even if he loses gambling. But if someone wins $50 in one game and loses $2 in the next game, he can still be happy because he still has a profit of $48.This is basically what happens. So generally speaking loss is not a happy thing for anyone

There is definitely a lot of fun in gambling but there is regret in losing. No matter how much people say that gambling is part of entertainment, I never accept it because even if a person participates in gambling as part of entertainment, he still has a desire to make money. If he is greedy for money, he will surely feel bad about his losing gamble. Aside from the fun part of it losing also gives us the opportunity to.lesrn new lesson and also be more proactive on our games, this is what many people dont understand most especially those who take gambling as a daily means of income making, so for that anytime the experienced losing it tends to take away every benefit from they mind since the focus for them is the money and not the fun, and this set of people are seen or should be seen as not fun seeking gamblers but just professionals businessmen who are out for the money and not fun.

The probability of winning or losing has absolutely nothing to do with other characteristics of the player. There is a principle in which gambling losses will not upset: you only need to treat the deposited money as if it had already been lost when making a deposit. And be aware that you need to have as much fun as possible with this money without expecting any winnings. And then even losing this amount will not upset you. Really is that what of it is with sports betting,  I thought all the while that the possibility of winning sports bets is by the ability to accurately analyse the team using their available data,  and I never thought there be any other Algorithms outside.

I only thought that in-house games are the ones with an Algorithms since the house edge systems are mostly implemented on those games, anyways I may be wrong though.

You are right, but of the many gamblers there will only be few who can remember or understand this fact, in fact the majority of gamblers still have the wrong mindset and approach towards gambling.

Easy for you to say that we need to distribute fairly our finance in different things but putting that into practice is a different thing, that's why it only works when you're talking about it and not because you're doing it. Yes you're right we can have fun even if we're losing but look at people that have gambled their life away, you can probably surmise from their faces that they haven't had fun in awhile, I'm not saying you're wrong but that's not entirely right either is what I'm trying to say.

In whatsoever we do in life for there to be a balance there should be some iota of the good part and the iota of the bad part of it. In gambling it is either you are winning or you are losing. There is no way a gambler will keep winning and winning without losing at some points. And there is also nowhere a gambler I will keep losing and losing without winning. No matter how we claim that we gamble for fun if we continue to lose without winning you will get frustrated and begin to chase losses. You are right on which they do really just only spend on the amount that they wont really be bothered even if it would be a total loss comparing into those people who do play gambling just to have some hopes that they could having the chance on making it big.Therefore, on the time that you would really be that losing up a bet then its never been that something that could really be giving out that good feeling. It is really that hard to deny or tell to yourself that losing cant really be able to affect you on the way you do play gambling. Video games are also based on the same concept, at the beginning no one could beat video games as there was not an end goal and people just played because of the fun they obtained out of it, eventually new games appeared that gave a sense of purpose to their players, but even then you are bound to lose a lot until you reach the final objective of the game, so I do not see why gambling seems to be a concept that is alien to people when we actually see it in action every day.

I’m glad to see that I’m getting a higher number of people to actually realize that the consciousness of staying aware that when staking a bet, is either you win or loss and as such it will also help us grow to gamble with the money we can afford to loss at a specific time.

Maybe what they mean is "fun" in the sense that they don't focus too much on making money and just play normally to get entertainment from it. I think there is no fun in lossing because at start everyone says that he is gambling just for fun but when he loss in gambling then he Don't think about a relationship or any other thing but wants to recover his money back.
