For a long time, I have been looking for a virtual card where I can spend my cryptocurrency directly. Today I discovered a RedotPay card service based in Hong Kong. I made three payments today, including Namecheap. It seems everything went smoothly with no issues at all. Deposits could be made through Binance Pay & direct deposit as well, and to use their card, we have to verify identification. It means you need to verify KYC to generate their card. Virtual cards seem to charge $10, and physical cards seem to charge $100. For me, the virtual card charge is reasonable, whereas the physical card price seems unrealistic.

They have mixed reviews on the Play Store and other review sites. I just started using it today and can't say much about it. It might help us with small transactions since I don't dare make big transactions through RedotPay. They are pretty new, and we have to see how their services are going. So use your own risk; I am not preferring to use. Just sharing as an option for those who need a virtual crypto card.

Never heard of it but I saw their reviews there are some bad reviews and good reviews.
I checked Whois and it was 6 months old their contact info is located in Arizona but according to some articles out there and their "About Us" they are located in Hongkong China.

For me, I can't trust my documents to them because they lied about the location.
Their service might work for you but it might not work for others.
It's risky for big transactions so only deposit that you can afford to lose.

It seems as if they are a gateway for a third-party service, as their information does not confirm that they are a company and have a direct agreement with Visa. Can the card be used for Google Play or Apple payments, or is it restricted for certain services? Namecheap accepts payment in Bitcoin, so paying using a Bitcoin card is a meaningless additional fee especially since the payments may not be returned to you or have refund option.

You are seriously doing kyc verification on this RedotPay crap  Roll Eyes
I mean it's your data, you can do whatever you want with it, but I don't see any good reason why you would do this for paying Namecheap service.
I would not recommend anyone doing this.

Exactly.

You are seriously doing kyc verification on this RedotPay crap  Roll Eyes

In many countries spending Bitcoin is far from easy. And if you sell Bitcoin and get the fiat into your bank account can get the bank account locked.
So, while I agree that when people can pay with Bitcoin they should do so, while I agree that people should make sure they understand that giving out KYC too easy can harm them, I think that first-hand honest reviews on this kind of products is something nice to have...

virtual crypto card

Thank you for the honest review. I have only one question: does this virtual card work with Apple Pay and/or Google Pay?

I have only one question: does this virtual card work with Apple Pay and/or Google Pay?
From information displayed here:
https://support.redotpay.com/hc/en-us/articles/8152747544719-RedotPay-card-limitations-fee
Virtual card should work with Apple Pay and Google Pay

Namecheap accepts payment in Bitcoin, so paying using a Bitcoin card is a meaningless additional fee especially since the payments may not be returned to you or have refund option.
This part looked strange for me. Why to make things complicated? Namecheap accepts Bitcoin, so, why just don't pay directly using Bitcoin?
And price for virtual card, maybe $10 is ok, though haven't checked how much other cards costs now. But $100 for physical card, what a joke.

Have you ever thought about the Bitcoin transaction fees? When I tried to make a deposit through Bitcoin, it seemed to charge approximately $17, and transactions had to be confirmed within 15 minutes, as displayed on the payment page. Do you think I should wait a week, or will Namecheap accept a delay? The card seems to cost me nothing to make a deposit on Namecheap. I'm not sure if it's free for now. But it doesn't make sense to pay $17 fees to make a $50 deposit.

I guess he likes the get KYCed and pay extra fees  Tongue
You are wrong here. Without KYC I can't find any virtual crypto card yet.

Namecheap accepts payment in Bitcoin, so paying using a Bitcoin card is a meaningless additional fee especially since the payments may not be returned to you or have refund option.
It doesn't make sense to pay too high transaction fees. Your answer is above.

In many countries spending Bitcoin is far from easy. And if you sell Bitcoin and get the fiat into your bank account can get the bank account locked.
That's the main issue, actually. I have a credit card from our bank but have a limit of $10000 a year, which isn't enough for me. Banks and governments ask many questions: Why am I spending too much foreign currency? So I am forced to get a card from outside of my country, and there is no alternative to a crypto card in this scenario.

When I made post, I had transaction fees in my mind, but I didn't thought that it can cost so much. But yeah, netwrok congestion. It's good that you already had ballance on RedotPay, otherwise you would have to pay huge fees to topup your ballance with Bitcoin.
From what I remember, Namecheap gives more time than 15 minutes to confirm transaction. It's 1 or 2 hours, but I may be wrong. But I remember paying for other services many times during network congestion and my ballance got credited even on next day after timer got expired long time ago.

You are naive if you think that your government won't find out that you purchased a new virtual card with your submitted documents issued by the same government.

They can find I know. But they can't prevent me from spending foreign cards issued by foreign banks. Because when I intend to use a international debit card then it have to endorsed by bank with my passport and has a limit of $10K USD. Because I am spending funds from my country's reserve, they set a limit on how much I can withdraw or spend abroad. I don't how to explain you since you didn't face this kind of issues. I have to show my source of income where I can't show it since I am earning cryptocurrency if I spend much. They won't ask questions on a foreign card even they know I am using it. Because I am earning from abroad and spending abroad.

I am not wrong about this, and I already posted several alternatives that I used personally.
Do a bit better research and you will see that me and few other members already discussed about this subject in forum, and I think there are one or two active topics.
I won't encourage anyone to use them. I just shared the option that I have been using. I know we can buy some temporary virtual cards from the marketplace, but we also have to pay an overprice. It's a hassle when I need regular subscriptions and so on.

You can search in my post history or using Ninjastic website, I think it was bit.store cards, thebitcoincompany cards, bitrefil gift cards, one service is even selling no-kyc cards with 3ds, etc.
I am not going to post links for any service again because I don't feel comfortable enough sharing them, so dyor.

Not true, there is no overprice compared with cards you purchased, there is no need for any subscription, and it's 100% less hassle than doing bloody kyc, but hey do whatever you want Wink

Let them do whatever they want with KYC, because for centralised exchanges and for a few more services, KYC has been used. I know they aren't trusted enough yet to provide them with KYC, but it seems they used a third party for KYC verification, which is not very complicated either. However, I had no way to solve my issue, which was solved by RedotPay for now. I found a better solution, but crypto is not supported there. So for now, I will use it until they scam or discontinue service. I never add big funds there. Just add a small amount and spend it instantly. I don't encourage anyone to use it anyway. This is an option for those who live in jurisdictions where a crypto card is complicated to get. So far, I haven't found any virtual card services, except RedotPay, that support my jurisdiction.

You need to have used these cards before and have a balance, otherwise you will pay high bitcoin transaction fees + card renewal fees + transaction fees.

It's to inform you that I used their card today to pay supermarket bills using their NFC-supported virtual card. I had added their virtual card to the iPhone wallet, and it seems everything went smoothly. That means their card has been working as promised. I believe I can withdraw from ATMs where NFC-supported ATM machines are available. This is a really exciting experience for me using direct crypto in a real supermarket. I am not sure how long their service will last, so I don't make big deposits there. I just make deposits that I need to use in real time. So I feel it's less risky, though there is still risk. So do your own diligence if you want to use their card.

~snip~

You can try, but I don't think you will be able to withdraw money at contactless ATMs, because I also researched that option, but although most virtual cards have the option of paying through POS devices using Google (Pay) Wallet or something similar, withdrawing cash at ATMs is disabled.

I believe I can withdraw from ATMs where NFC-supported ATM machines are available.
~snip~

You can try, but I don't think you will be able to withdraw money at contactless ATMs, because I also researched that option, but although most virtual cards have the option of paying through POS devices using Google (Pay) Wallet or something similar, withdrawing cash at ATMs is disabled.
Yes. I have tried a couple of contactless ATMs, but they don't allow me to withdraw cash. I asked the bank guys, and they said contactless was allowed only for native bank cards. Any other bank card isn't allowed to withdraw cash if it doesn't belong to that ATM's bank. However, I am still happy; at least I can use it for shopping in malls and online. I am using my crypto directly in my country, though crypto is not allowed here.

Is that the norm for regular debit/credit cards too? Not sure how ATMs work but in my country some ATMs can be used to withdraw balances from different banks regardless of what card they used, including overseas ones. So if I have A bank card, and I find a B's bank ATM nearby but has that 'shared' feature, I can withdraw just fine even if I use the contactless option. What is their reasoning for the limitation? Did they tell you? I tried to withdraw my Payoneer balance a few months ago and there's no issue other than the fees, I don't have experience using a crypto card for this though.

You can use a regular card at any ATM, but the restrictions are only for the NFC contactless card. For NFC, contactless cards can only be used on native ATMs. But if you input the card into an ATM machine, then it will work everywhere. I don't know much why it doesn't accept; banks know better. Handling fiat is quite more complicated than crypto.
