Has anyone used the EOS blockchain recently? It's been a long time since I saw any project emerge under the blockchain, and even though it seems like the season is for some altcoins, I have not also seen EOS coins trending or making some big profit. Is the blockchain still alive, or have its competitors completely sidelined it?
 
I just looked at my old crypto currency book, and I happened to find out that I have used and owned the blockchain native token before, which brought the name back to mind.
 
So it will be nice to hear from anyone who might have used the blockchain or owned the coin recently. Let's know if there are any latest developments from them.

The majority of projects are now launched under the BSC, ETH network, Matic network, and Tron network. Although I am not keeping much of an eye on the altcoin market, but since the start of the year, I have not read that any altcoin was launched on the EOS chain (might have happened though). That doesn't mean the project is dead; the native token is still actively being traded on more than 100+ different exchanges. The market cap is still good, as is the trading volume. It seems the majority of projects are under BSC and ETH, and they are the top competitors in the market. Meanwhile,  if the said EOS projects are actually promoting and building their projects to be more viable in the space, then new projects may launch on the blockchain.

but someone who bought the EOS ICO is still making a profit to this day.
i remember about EOS in 2017, it's very hype and the coin sold out very fast.
I think it was the most successfull ICO in 2017, but its nothing today i dont know why

Im not sure probably old users or pioneer ones. But if you check social or any news none about eos blockchain. Probably due to new projects that are rising now and old ones are not being noticed by a lot of people. I remembered before this is a rival of eth and one that might break through before but everything change after some while. I have some eos before but not usimg it until then. If only they did a good job on development maybe they thrive until now.

well, that is why it's always advisable not to hold projects for a long term because it might be trending just for a while and might end up fallen more than 90%. making investors lose such.

Being same pioneer like Cardano in 2017. I am not seeing EOS blockchain being used as smart contract lately.
Even at that time EOS blockchain are more famous than cardano but now it just nothing like all bitcoin fork coin.

EOS chain is basically done. I have read that the team made terrible business decisions in the past and that's why even the hardcore supporters left the project. You are better off spending your time reading other ecosystems that are thriving than hoping for a revival of a "dead" chain. Even the EOS Foundation CEO said it's a failure and was a bad investment.

Sincerely speaking the silent of this project for long kept me wondering if they still exist in the space, and i never came across much post concerning them or any recent development, there could be some development underway but since we don't follow them on social media channels might cause you not to have full information about them.
I will suggest to remain connected with them you join the media pages to know more about, if i could remember correct then EOS was one of the major big project then before BNB and Polygon took over due to their easy to use method. Also the used of RAM then really got some people weird but I don't if there is any solution to it currently. You can read more about them here.

i think because it's just the block producers who are making money from this chain. i have mine kept staking still for RAM and CPU which i earn a few EOS every day. an investor will need a huge amount to make money everyday from this token. the bear market however is just not profitable so you will need to sell them. its just the same for all altcoins. this is an L1 project but there is never a good update anymore.

but i can see there are tons of players on some games created in EOS, practically using EOS since the transactions are free.

Yes I have heard of the EOS blockchain there used to be some tokens on their blockchain but now they seem to be sinking because they lost the trend to the new blockhcain, to be honest I have never followed the development of EOS until now and when talking about altcoins that are while then making profits then it must be trending ones such as L2, Eth, BSC, Matic and there are still many blockchains that are growing.

It's like EOS has never been a hype huh? I see news on X.com never appears unless new news is being hype there.

EOS had blockchain before, but it is not an ecosystem used in this network like other ecosystems. In fact, I did not fully research and look at what kind of transactions are, what are the transaction fees, but since the usage is low and the preference is low, I trust the users. The silence of this project has lasted for many years, I think it is very difficult for anything to break this silence. It is a project that could have had an ecosystem like ETH, but is no longer taken into consideration due to the bad decisions made by the team.

EOS is one of the fastest blockchain out there but it has failed to initiate its adoption. There is already lots of new blockchain all those blockchain like EOS, NEO were created to solve ethereum scalability problems. But right now we can see all those ETH L2 solve the ETH scalability issue and they are at the top of the adoption right now. Even some L1 projects are transitioning into L2 due to the hype they have. I do not think that EOS will even get attention again and there isn't any significant usecase they are providing that ETH L2 can not.

Most recently when I saw them integrating EVM I went back to using it and I have to admit it was a hype process with EOS, but it was not effective according to my exposure to the chain. The ideal they have been pursuing in recent years is still a big gap when other competitors are taking market share and EOS cannot prove much when development plans are greatly interrupted. Even though with every altcoin fluctuation I still hope they can do something better, in the end if they don't adapt to the changing crypto trends in general they will become a forgotten chain. Anyway, their abilities are remarkable, some areas of the game that I still have high hopes for are promising points for their future.

I was one of the people who enjoyed using EOS back in the day because of the very low fees. It was also popular with casino based tokens (decentralized casinos) until TRX came into the picture. The biggest problem with EOS was/is that it's too technical for an average user to even understand how it works.

First, the number one hindrance is creating an address. You need to stake some EOS to buy CPU, RAM, and NET. To be able to stake some EOS you need the said resources, so now you have to look for a service that can help you stake the EOS since you have no active address yet. The whole thing is bogus and tricky.

Also, the Ethereum Killer hype died down and people moved on

Most of the biggest builders I know on EOS already left the chain for more better chains with opportunities. Imo, their business development team (if there's any) is doing a shitty job at getting builders or keeping existing builders on the chain. EOS easily raised the most money out of all projects in top 100 cryptos on CMC now but I don't see EOS marketing or PR doing any work or existing campaigns. If I was a builder, I'd stay off the chain as well because the team is doing little work.

since larimer resigned from the EOS, the conflict between devs has gotten worse i think, they were even considering EOS to be renamed Antelope i'm not sure how it goes after that but many of its investors lost interest. the last cryptodunker youtuber who kept shilling this token even quit.

larimer always takes himself out of the projects he started, leaving it to the community doesn't look like its going to make the project successful.

Yes, i remember that now. it was to be believe the ethereum killer because it's transaction capacity. Raised TON of money but in the end it's so bad for investor and builder

Been long time I used this network but I did use it in one of the gambling sites as far as I remember.
Quite easy and cheap but don't know now their current status when it comes to fees and duration.
Seems that the team already failed to make this in the mainstream adoption in the world of crypto.
The eth killer claim had been lost long time ago. Be grateful that they are still being traded in so many platforms, but the volume is quite low compared to ETH.
Just think of billio-dollar 24 hour volume of ETH over million-dollar 24 hr volume of EOS. And you know which one is leading the pack.
