2024 price prediction

This thread is quiet but this is the infamous finish line,  December 2023 we started to predict this 2024 next year race and here we are.
   I think the 100k+ voters really should take the prize, its the whole of this month in a wide finish line but I dont feel a rapid depreciation is really on the cards so 100k it is.

We crossed into December just below 100k and I didnt even allocate full proper categorys for these high prices.  I was too pessimistic, this is my lesson to learn from this thread but Im happy to be wrong on this occasion.

My own vote was 59k as I thought much longer to build enough momentum but it did take alot of this year to do.

Bitcoin price peaked at 44K at the end of 2023. So it was a small bullrun, which led to a limited increase in Bitcoin price. 2024 is the Bitcoin halving, so every halving bitcoin price increases to its maximum value. I think Bitcoin price will stay between 50k and 55k in 2024.

so many of us need to review some of our previous comment and the prediction towards the Bitcoin this particular comment made me to remember that whatever People Say concerning bitcoin increment one day bitcoin was so surely ascertain it, now you have predicted that bitcoin will reach to this level in 2024 but right now bitcoin is above the prediction so anyone who is predicting that bitcoin will hit 250k later run it is not assumption it is a personal belief towards a Bitcoin system so I believe bitcoin will surely hit to 250k

Suddenly this topic popped up on my watchlist. I honestly don't remember which option I voted for, but judging by the fact that the 100k+ option is highlighted in bold based on what I see, I conclude that my vote was cast for it. I can say that I was pretty confident that we would see the $100,000 level by the end of 2024, and that really happened, and I congratulate all of us on that.

Everyone's bitcoin predictions are sure to happen but the question is when will it happen. Like predicting bitcoin price will hit $250k, I also firmly believe it will happen but I want to know when it will happen and that is what people care about. If that doesn't happen in this bull cycle or the next and it takes years to happen then clearly this prediction is completely meaningless. We often say that bitcoin is unpredictable and that is not wrong because no one can give an exact time when their prediction will happen.


Another thing is we have faith in our prediction but how many can hold on until the bitcoin price reaches our prediction? Many people have predicted that bitcoin will hit $1 million and I believe it will happen but how many of us can hold on until bitcoin hits $1 million? 

Bitcoin will reach $250K - $500K or $1M, but no one knows when. And that is why investments must be long-term. We all invest in Bitcoin with the hope of profit, but it may take 5-10 years or more to get the real profit, because Bitcoin increases in the long term.
So instead of worrying about when Bitcoin will reach $250K - $500K or $1M, we should believe in the prediction "$250K - $500K or $1M will happen in the future" and hold it patiently for the long term. Only then can Bitcoin's success be achieved.

Well 70k is good enough for me. I hope for that as a minimum.

But. I think we could hit much higher than that.

Since I am not greedy I would like to get to 70k and stay.

My dream 😴 is we moon to 200k but like I said I can live with 70k which is what I picked.

So BTC is doing better than I hope.

But this prediction was made before I got forced out of my Clifton mine location.

Can't complain with a steady 101k and a new mine location.

Bitcoin will hit 1 million, no great faith required just an iteration of past gains to continue into the future.  We might even see 1 million within this decade before 2030, though this is surprising I'm trying to be ambitious as BTC deserves, Iam often pessimistic.

The dollar has a decline by design not just these past few years, this year or even just the next few years.  Dollar declines on purpose for decades to come because they fear what hard money will do to the economy, they dont fear inflation too much.   One day it will all slip out of control but if Dollar has this decline then when we discuss 1 million in 6 years it may have half the (real) value by then.

Hence raise your aim is best advice, in this year now proven that was true and quite fair for the 200 week perspective the bigger picture also its fair to see outperformance in this asset.

It sounds easy but I believe we all care about the price of bitcoin because the goal of investing is profit, I would be skeptical if someone said they don't care how much bitcoin goes up in this cycle. We choose bitcoin over gold, stocks or any other investment because it gives bigger and faster returns, so it is unbelievable to say that we do not care about price and timing of taking profit.

Technically more than 50% people guessed right, I think you should create prediction for the next year more bullish. Like $150K, $250K, $500K or $1M, then let we see how many people guess right in the next year because the achievement in this year is already great enough, how about next year?

Maybe I'm exaggerating a bit when I say hold for 30-50 years but what I mean is I wouldn't believe someone who says they will hold bitcoin for the long term without considering a specific time to take profit. Except for big whales and people with too much money, I believe it is difficult for the rest of the people to hold bitcoin for 10 years, including me. People will start complaining if bitcoin price doesn't increase significantly in those 10 years and will leave it, let alone hold it for longer periods without any worries.

the only people holding for that long are well off financially and don't need to sell for cash any time soon. probably they are planning to pass the bitcoin to their children as an inheritance or saving it for retirement.
but everyone has to sell some of their stash at some point.

i sold 1/3 of my holdings the past month at an avg of $98.8k, hoping to buy back at a lower price when the market crashes. but honestly i feel like we may never see bitcoin under $100k again. i hope i won't regret it

That's a long hold though, I mean maybe you forget that you have Bitcoins or at least didn't know where you hide your private key until one day you discover it and then you have a lot of profits by that time.

Regardless, we all know how good Bitcoin for a long hold.

And suddenly though, we have another new all time high a few hours ago at $105k. So another history is being made as we don't know how many times have we broken and have a new all time high. And we are still very far from Trump officially sits on the White House and with friendly crypto policies, it can bring a fresh breath of fresh air next year and we might really achieved that $150k-$180k prediction.

Once China decide to compete with US to gather as many bitcoin as possible from the Market. I think 200k looks so damn easy to achieve. The more demand, less supply in the market, and people prefer to use it as their long-term investment.

If our target was just $150k-200k, I think we wouldn't even need catalysts like China or the US turning bitcoin into a national reserve, we would have reached this target in this cycle. Because the buying power from ETFs and Michael Saylor has significantly impacted the supply of bitcoin and made it more scarce than ever. If people pay attention, ETFs are buying more bitcoins than are mined every day. Not to mention, Microsoft and Amazon will soon join the race, and there will be many more. The demand from these institutions alone is enough to shock the bitcoin supply and a price increase is only a matter of time.

In my opinion, hitting $150k-200k is not too difficult for bitcoin in this cycle, unless we want to aim higher.

Fair take most people were very bullish and that was correct (6% voted 2024 as a loss).   Wisdom of the crowds they call that.   I will make another poll, just a virtual dart board to aim at no pressure

Price circa last poll posted was 43k & we were marooned on that to end the year.  Some thought more then double from there so I'll put that in this time but it will have to be nearest guess to vote for as the range is so big.

30-50 years is hard to envision.  Just 10 years is the max I think of, some truly gigantic underground mines do take ten years to setup and another ten and more years to repay.    
  In 2008 I thought the Dollar would fail and its 16 years later its not happening near term but I imagine more progress in 30 or more years then people stuck on politics and money debased by politics rather then grounded in human endeavor.  Some in the seventies thought similarly
