I was thinking of starting something like a Powerball it basically follows all the same rules with the exception that the tickets are digital and instead of paying with dollars you would pay with BTC it will be fully legal backed by the BTC community would anyone participate in this is just a questioneer I want to hear peoples opinions

Are you making an offer like that of games and rounds or it's something related to lotto and the likes, but whatsoever thing it may be, I will suggest to you that you work on how you can be trusted of which I see that you're already having a difficult issue on that, your trust ratings speak of it all, if not I would have recommend that you buy a corper membership rank to help you with doing other necessary things.

It is a good idea. Even the first Powerball casino website in the forum is no longer working again and I also try to find out if there is out there but none so if you have the idea to start it, you are good to go. But if the user who brought Powerball casino to the forum at that time is still active you can ask him what really happened that the casino was stopped working or the signature campaign manager at that time so that when you start yours, you would know the areas to avoid. There might be a reason why it did not work out. Maybe there is no way to truly make it random unless its a physical drawing of the winning numbers? I have no idea why lotteries are not more popular. As some posters have already pointed out, there are a plethora of reasons why people are more prone towards the physical version rather than a digital one.

Personally, I have no interest in lotteries. The chances of winning is really small and just not worth it, when you compare the chances of winning with other games like dice or slots. And it is not really all that fun. With other gambling games at least you are engaging the game and getting entertained. Where is the entertainment in lotteries?

A lot of people will argue that the game will be rigged and there is no way to confirm its legality, nor the authenticity and integrity of every draw. There had been lots of similar ideas in the past that simply didn't work out because the community understands that this is not something that is going to work nor win them money.

People will certainly stick to casino games though, as they think that these platforms are legitimate enough to not on them of their money due to their licensing and all those kinds of stuff. There are no guarantees of winning on casinos either, but the odds of people winning on them is kinda high compared to lotteries.

This is probably the 1000th forum thread about Bitcoin/crypto lotteries. Do you really think that your idea is groundbreaking and original?
1000 people have discussed the idea of a Bitcoin lottery before. You don't add anything new to the discussion.
What do you mean by "fully legal backed by the BTC community"? This sounds like nonsense to me. The BTC community cannot "legally back" anything. It would be nice, if someone creates a truly decentralized crypto lottery, but it's not going to happen anytime soon. By "truly decentralized" I mean a lottery, where you don't have to trust a third party with your crypto and the way winners are picked is truly transparent and proven to be completely random.

I certainly agree with this, with plenty of addictive games online, people won't risk their money when reputation are in question. AFAIK, lottery are only popular when it's state sponsored, but from someone or a company that would start to make its reputation in the crypto gambling world, that's a tough journey to make as the kind of game isn't marketable anymore.

OP you have a good idea to bring such to this platform. Already, there have been some of such which did exist in the time past on this forum and I am sure something caused their closure or inactivity here.

You should do your own part, it would be nice you not wait or depend on the response from members here but rather conducting your own personal research would give you more details and insight to what really happened to them before they became inactive. That alone would help you know what to do so as to be active and regular on this platform. Although I have read through posts here and we they are all correct so the ball is in your court.

OP doesn't need to do his research, @Kakmakr already explained why the lottery isn't so popular here on the forum, just a few posts above yours. Too many doubts about the fairness of the draw, so these kinds of tries never have enough people who are ready to join and play. And for BTC Powerball you need a lot of players:

Now I understand why they are not as sustainable as they ought to be. The doubts about the fairness warrants distrust and when that happens, there is every possibility that the outcome of the results might be manipulated or altered by those in charge to suit their own agenda.

Since that is always the result and what they have conditioned the mind and thoughts of players to, the players have decided to do away with Powerball which possibly results to the low turn up of participants.

If it were possible, anyone starting up such should be fair and transparent enough to convince players that the outcome or results of their game is truly what it ought to be.

I don't think something like this would work because even if you send a digital ticket, in the scenario where the user wins he will not be able to claim the prize with his digital ticket, while you will be holding the real ticket and able to claim the prize for yourself.

I mean, the idea is cool, i would love to be able to buy Powerball tickets with BTC, but you need a clean and fair process for the users if you want to run something like this.

I don't know whether it's a good idea or not but you'll find out after you've created the site. Maybe my suggestion is that you should have other gambling games so that you don't just have one gambling game. It might seem boring if a casino only has gambling games.

And if you can, adding it with altcoins would be a good choice. Moreover, Bitcoin transaction fees have not yet gone down again. That might make gamblers want to try playing the lottery. But that's up to you. That's just a suggestion.

The important thing is that the system is clear and fair, and people can easily buy. And the ticket price is also not expensive. Maybe $0.1 is still acceptable

Lottery thread here but they did not gather enough support from the community , maybe because it is harder t
o trust about the funds to go specially most of those who started the site are newbie account? and not even
using escrow at least to assure possible bettors of safeties when they won?
but if you are confident enough mate then why not right? try to open your own powerball

Talking aside on the things that you've been saying about launching  a powerball based site then we do have currently some platforms which do have that lottery type of game on which it is really just that there's not too much of a demand if we do speak about numbers of those people who do really play lottery. It does have that less interest and this is why they dont really that easily survive
and now we are seeing them that being attached with those known casinos now but not really that solely focusing into that. We do have that options that we could be able to play into those known
casinos on which it wont really be shocking that sole based lottery sites doesnt last long.

This is  why we dont really see  this type of games being offered into this market because there's no such demand. If they would really be tending to bet on lotteries
then for sure they would really be coming or would be doing such thing into their local lotteries.
