I don't believe Bitcoin will be at a price of $42K this new year, the first time I knew bitcoin which was also a few days after the New Year celebration was $313 😅 A fantastic rise in just 10 years.

Year 2022 was a crazy year, a lot of bears were banking that it's going to go down and that bitcoin will never get back again but we're back to the 40k territory baby! Lots of regrets not buying at that time but I hope everyone's learned their lesson already, that if everyone's scared of what's going on with bitcoin then that's the time that you should consider buying more bitcoin because that's where the value is.

I don't think bitcoin's comparable to a fine wine, if bitcoin was a fine wine that gets better with age, wouldn't the last day of the year price for bitcoin be always going up and the price of bitcoin gets progressively higher than the last time and won't ever come back again since fine wine don't get bad the next year and then gets back to being fine after a bad year.

Bears are very pessimistic, I prefer to always be an optimistic person, when the price drops I become even happier! with less money I get more bitcoins! Bears, on the other hand, can only see negativity in everything

Of course, everything is possible in Bitcoin market, last bull run though, we expect it to hit 6 digits at least because of some bitcoin price modelling, but it wasn't to be. However, I think with the current price and with the bullish sentiments about the spot Bitcoin ETF coming into the market causing a huge influx of institutional money to the us, I do see that at least a conservative estimates is around $100k as a new all time high.

So yeah, continue to accumulate and HODL.

Since Bitcoin started having a fiat price, it's price has almost always increased every start of the year. For the 15 times that Bitcoin started a new year, there were only 3 times when its price fell. Those were the years 2014, 2018, and 2022. The rest of the 12 years, the price was higher than the previous new year.

And there seems to be a pattern of 3 years interval in between price decreases. The last time the new year's price went low was in 2022. 2023 was an increase. 2024 was also an increase. I'm almost certain that January 1, 2025 will have a price higher than $42,611.83, could be 6 digits. January 1,2026 could be the next price fall.

The price of bitcoin is unpredictable and its obvious that price of bitcoin is rotational, you may think that the price of bitcoin is something that have to do with a particular price or be stagnant in price so the price of bitcoin is something you can never predict accurately, right now the price of bitcoin is almost forty-five thousand [45k] the way I'm seeing the price of bitcoin, so therefore bitcoin is a price that I know quite well that the determinants of it's increment depends on the demands and supply of the market

I would be surprised if we saw another good year for Bitcoin.  I think it's quite likely we'll see a new all time high this year, maybe ending the year at $80K or thereabouts.  That will be when the major rally is just getting started in my opinion though, as I'm expecting we get near the $200K mark in 2025.  The trick will be making sure you don't sell all your BTC on the way up because it will certainly be tempting.  For those that can manage to forget they own any BTC for the next 18+ months, I'm sure you'll be heavily rewarded for your patience.

Yes, just like what we did the last after the halving in 2020, and we went and erase the previous high at $50k'ish, and then we went to a all time high at $69k. Let's say just a conservative estimates of $100k in the next bull run is already huge, but hitting like $180k-$200k is like cherry on top for us.

So as you have said, if this is the price that we are going to see, then better be a holder or at least accumulate as much as we can. As the saying goes, patience is a virtue, and in the market we need a lot of it to survived or to really make a lot of profits. But timing is everything as well, so only sell when necessary or at least when you feel that we are on the all time high already or near it.

That's right, supply and demand are key factors in determining Bitcoin prices. This is real and cannot be denied, but there is one characteristic of Bitcoin that can have a big influence on the price increase which causes every few years in the new year the price of BTC to increase several times, namely due to the halving of Bitcoin. The halving and popularity of Bitcoin can influence supply and demand in the market.

Another new year is here again and, many BTC hodlers are still hodling their coins waiting for the price to pump to $50k before they will start selling their BTC but currently the price is still struggling to pump above $45k before hodlers will believe that bull run will start this January. There is something special about BTC, that is giving people joy to continue embracing the coin in the time of bear run because BTC still remain the king among other cryptocurrencies and whenever it take a good move other cryptocurrencies price will begin to take a good move too.

No doubt that bull run that will make hodlers to forget their pain of hodling will surely occur in this year 2024 and, it will last till 2025 for those that used the opportunity to buy when the price was low will be excited because they will experience $69k or $80k before the end of 2025.

I think we may achieve this number in 2025 because as per previous trends we have seen bull run a year after halving as we had halving in 2016 & 2020 then we saw bull run in 2017 & 2021 and BTC achieve ATH in both bull runs so I think new ATH will be achieved in next bullrun then it would rally towards $100k. Bitcoin price rises generally the most in the last quarter of the year, especially at the end of November and the beginning of December so taking a screenshot in new year's eve will not show the maximum point the bitcoin price has reached which is interesting to see. I find OP very interesting too to have a collection of these dates and hopefully it will remain maintained
It might be a curiosity from me to see other details like the last block being mined, its number and the timing but also the highest fee paid in the last block! I am pissed because I paid a lot of fees few minutes ago

The price of bitcoin fluctuates and I believe that the price of bitcoin is something that is unpredictable and the fact is that you may see it as something bad whenever the price of bitcoin is unbalanced in the market, I understand the aspect you said that the price of bitcoin is a wine and it can be for anyone, but the condition of bitcoin in price change at any point in time and it changes every year due to the market determinants

In 2023 Bitcoin price peaked up to 42k dollars, because of halving Bitcoin price got less people in the past but this time Bitcoin price is definitely showing improvement for new year. As the Bitcoin halving is expected in 2024, the price of Bitcoin will definitely rise. 2024 will surely set a new record as Bitcoin price shows signs of improvement from the start.

Am I the only one seeing the pattern?
From 2013-2017, the pattern is DOWN-UP-UP-UP.
From 2017-2021, it's the same pattern. DOWN-UP-UP-UP.
Now 2021-2025, we are seeing at least almost the same pattern. DOWN-UP-(UP-UP).

I'm not saying that 2024 and 2025 will be a better year for Bitcoin just because of it's past prices, but basing on the history of it's price movement, there's a chance that it might do the same as well. I'm kind of optimistic towards Bitcoin this year, and next year as well so I believe that the price of Bitcoin will surpass it's price in NYE, and again it will surpass it's price in NYE 2025. Of course I might be wrong, but this prediction is coming from an investor who's very optimistic right now.

Nevertheless, I will say congratulations to those investors who risked their money during the bear market in 2022, and accumulated some Bitcoins at that time. If you bought at the bottom or near to it, you already doubled your money in just one year. I mean which investment doubles your money in only 1 year? Stocks on average gives only 7-8% per year and other assets give below 7%.
