There are multiple issues here. I'll point out some of them.

I mean no harm but NO KYC to me sounds really strange except they have it strictly to a particular country or countries with no need for them.

KYC has caused loads of issues, as much as people love platforms without KYC, it is  to the detriment of the platform and relatively to the investors if those platforms are sanctioned by regulatory authorities for not having KYC requirements.
